Highly recommend! Our host, Mrs. Jen, was absolutely amazing! She was able to provide us a map of the area and had knowledge of trails we asked about (I have a hard time breathing on steeper trails). The place is absolutely beautiful and you feel right at home the second you pull in the driveway. The whole family plus the pups had an amazing time and we're looking forward to going back.

Jen and her team were excellent to work with! Kurt was super knowledgeable about the river and advised best put-in and take-out locations for a kayak trip. The house was well stocked with dishes and kitchen utensils. The pavilion made for a great breakfast spot to chat and enjoy coffee & food.

When we was welcomed by the host she was very pleasant. She gave us alot of suggestions about the area. We brought our 2 dogs they ran and played in the large back yard. The host brought us extra towels and washcloths when asked. Offered to get us more firewood as we are firewood bugs.Everything in the cabins was clean and well furnished. Thank you for a great family experience.

Had a wonderful time at this rental! The hosts were very accomodating and saw to our every need. Beds were comfy, units were clean and the propert beautiful. My grandkids (and I) loved watching the chickens, they also enjoyed the swing and trampoline. Lots to see and do in the area, shopping, hiking and just hanging out! Highly recommend!!

We had a great stay from start to finish! The host was so easy to work with and accommodating. The property was quiet and large enough for our entire party to stay together and in a great location for activities. I would highly recommend and we will for sure stay again in the future!

Family stay

We so enjoy the large open outdoor dining area. The location was wonderful! The owners were so willing to help us with our stay in anyway we needed.

4th of July Family Getaway

This is the perfect place for a family getaway! You can do as many activities as you like as they are close by or you can just relax and sit around a fire or under the awesome large pavilion. The hosts were very attentive to all requests!

My family had a wonderful time at the Hemlock Haus! Jennifer and her family were friendly, considerate hosts who went out of their way to ensure we had all of the information and items we needed! It is beautiful there, cozy, and they even had a trampoline and swing for the kids which was SO much fun for them! We'll definitely come back to Cook Forest again.

Secluded Retreat

Loved how private the area was but yet so close to all the activities we wanted to enjoy. Owners were very attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend.

Perfect little gem on private land surrounded by Cook Forest. Kayak and inner tube trips just minutes away. Grandkids loved the trampoline and saucer swing. The littlest one made sure he got up to say good morning to the chickens every morning. Rented both upper and lower cabins which is surely the way to go. Our stay was excellent and I would highly recommend.

Wonderful Getaway

Perfect Cooks Forest location near trails and the river. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the multiple areas to dine and gather. Hosts are welcoming and eager to ensure a pleasant stay. Definitely recommend!! My 80 year old parents found it most pleasant!

Biking rail trails.

The VRBO is near several beautiful paved rail trails. The owners are very considerate and helpful. It is great for privacy and family togetherness.
