This home is located in Bass Harbor on the quiet side of MDI. This inviting 4-bedroom, 3 full bath home makes for a fantastic quiet destination. A cozy living room awaits you where you can unwind. With lots of windows you will feel like you are outside. Walk out either from the living room or the Master bedroom to a newly renovated deck area supplied w/table, chairs, and chaise loungers. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and all the necessary appliances (coffee maker, blender, toaster, waffle maker), invites you to make your own meals or bring take out back and enjoy meals with your family/friends.

Relax in comfort with smart TVs, challenge your loved ones to a game night, enjoy a puzzle or read a book or two. If you're craving some fresh air, step outside and gather around the fire pit, play some basketball, corn hole or just be in the spacious yard. Venture out on a short walk (avoiding parking) to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse (7minute walk), discover the natural beauty of Acadia National Park with two walking trails Ship Harbor and Wonderland just a few minutes away (by car), or visit the Acadia National Park's Visitors Center, a 24-minute drive from your doorstep.

Very nice property that hosted 5 of us very comfortably. The host is great with communication and has clear instructions for check in / check out. The yard is great with plenty of firewood to keep a great campfire and stare at the wonderful starry sky. Close to nearby towns and the national park. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home base for all Acadia adventures. Excellent property to stay with families traveling together. Tina is a great host who is attentive, kind and thoughtful. Appreciated the practical extra items available like night lights. Beautiful deck for sunsets, kitchen window with the hummingbird feeder is a big hit! Walking distance from the lighthouse.

We loved the quiet location with a short walk to the lighthouse. The house was clean and amenities were just what we needed for our stay. I would class Tina as an outstanding host with phenomenal communication.

Great location. Quiet and near water. Easily driveable to anywhere on MDI. Host is very easy to contact and is pleasant to work with. Kitchen very well stocked, appliances work very well. Overall one of the best VRBO we’ve stayed. Thank you for everything.

Really enjoyed our stay in this very large private / quiet home close to Bass Harbor Lighthouse. The house has everything and is super comfortable for everyone!

The property was clean and we loved all the deer in the yard each day! We enjoyed our stay. Tina was very receptive when we sent a text asking a question. It was spacious which was good since it was two families traveling with two children under two.

Perfect Place To Stay for Acadia Visit

Our family of 6 were very comfortable in this home. It had all the amenities we needed and the host was super helpful with local tips, etc. It is a short, easy drive to local attractions. Also a short walk to the nearby lighthouse. Peaceful property to relax inside or outside. Would definitely recommend!!

Good location and lots of space

The property was beautiful and right outside of the entrance to the bass harbor lighthouse. Cute town about 10 minute drive and lots to do with Acadia national park so close!

We had an excellent stay at Tina’s house. The house was spacious and well appointed. The location was amazing, right by the lighthouse and a couple of trails, and town and plenty of places to eat. The host is great at communicating before what to expect and how to get in. It does seem like this is her house and she takes great pride in it, which is amazing but for us led to a somewhat uncomfortable experience. It was clear that there is a camera outside and she was watching it (got texts about how many cars there were and the people coming out of them) not too shocking but did make me feel watched. Then upon checkout (which we cleaned the house more thoroughly than usual and left exactly on time) I got more messages about a missing cup measure (which was later found in a different cupboard). It was clear she probably didn’t feel comfortable with people in her house which was fine but when paying to vacation somewhere I prefer to feel more welcome and relaxed. One other neutral note, not bad but just a note, lots of Christian messaging throughout the house, visible in photos so not a surprise, but there is a lot. Overall we had a great stay, and the area is amazing just some small things about the welcome and tone would have made us feel more comfortable.

I'm glad the house, location to things, and condition was great for you. I do live in the house on the off season. I've had a great experience w/guests and want the best stay for them, definitely no stress there. I'm sorry you were uncomfortable, not my intention. My time between renters is short and I did have to reach out to you to find a cup that was missing, still is (at no charge) and the dish w/treats for the next guest was on top of a cabinet, never would've found it so thanks for letting me know. I don't expect everything to be put away where I had it but I do put things back the way I like it as it's convenient and people don't have to open a lot of doors to find things. I want each renter to experience the clean welcoming home you had. As to the camera, I've had bad experiences w/people coming w/more than is registered and even brought pets that aren't allowed. I don't use it the whole stay just the first day to confirm who is arriving. Your registration was for 4 adults and 2 kids. You in fact had 4 adults and 4 kids. My house is set for 6 people. I thought we resolved the issue comfortably. I'm sorry that the religous verses bothered you. Most people never comment and some even appreciated the peace they felt there. I hope that your family had a good time away and I would welcome you back again.

Very clean property

House was very clean and location near the lighthouse was great. Kitchen cookware was nice but not many spices that I have found at other properties.

Wonderful Stay In Beautiful Bass Harbor

We were blessed to have found a perfect place to stay for our vacation. House was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. We were just a short drive to Bar Harbor and many other places we wanted to visit. Hoping this home will be available the next time we visit Maine. Thank you for letting us rent from you!

Perfect quiet house

This house is in a great location in a very quiet area but not to far for trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor. It also has the Bass Harbor Headlight within walking distance from the house. It is very spacious with 4 bedrooms and great basement.

Clean, spacious, great outdoor fireplace

Very nice home in Bass Harbor with lots of room To spread out. We enjoyed this spot so much last year that we stayed here again this year. Oh, and steaks and split lobsters over the wood fire out back! Glorious!

Comfortable and spacious

We very much enjoyed our stay here -- the house is spacious, clean, quiet, and exactly as described. We loved roasting marshmallows over the firepit and sitting on the back deck, either with the birds for coffee in the morning or watching the sun set over the trees in the evening. We love the quieter side of the island and hope to be back!

I love the quiet of my home and the nature around me. Close to the excitement in Bar Harbor but far enough away to be out of the crazy busyness. I grew up and have lived here my whole life. I live here on the island's off season. I pay attention to detail and hope you find that true of the cleanliness of the home. I hope that you will enjoy this home and will want to come back to explore more of this beautiful island, and feel at home.

This property is in a quiet neighborhood. You can walk to the Light house to catch a sunset or a quick drive to Seawall to watch the ocean waves and a sunrise. There are two, fairly easy, trails close by. This house is very functionable for 2 to 6 people and plenty of space to spread out and have your own place. The outdoor yard is big and has chairs to just sit and read a book or relax and just breathe. It is comfortable, clean and has a great back deck.

You can often sit on the back deck and hear the lobster boats returning from their days catch. Catching a fresh salty breeze from time to time on a lounge chair is my favorite. Now you can see the ocean through the trees and catch the sunset as it sets in the sky. Your can walk and enjoy the lighthouse w/out the hassle of finding a parking place.
