Thanksgiving Family Reunion

This was the perfect spot for us to meet our adult sons for Thanksgiving. The kitchen was equipped enough to cook a Thanksgiving feast!. The boys enjoyed the hot tub while we read, puzzled and relaxed inside. Within walking distance to both piers and November weather is perfect for a walk between them. There was something for everyone here, and plenty of room to spread out. Thank you for everything!

Fantastic Beach House

Beautiful home and perfect for our family. The decor was outstanding and the cleanliness was excellent. Walking to the beach was great and easy to access. The top balcony offered stunning views of the ocean. The home is complete with all the necessary amenities for both adults and young children to enjoy and have a good time. The home was full of items such as bicycles, beach towels, pool/sand toys, game boards, books to read while relaxing, a pool, and a hot tub. This is a wonderful place, and it has been one of the best vacation homes I've ever stayed in.

Disappointing stay

We were greatly looking forward to our week at the beach with my spouse, our 3 children and parents. When we arrived numerous things in the house were broken or not working. However, the owner addressed the issues within 48 hours. On our 2nd day in the house, my 2 young children were body surfing in the ocean, laughing and having fun. They are black and were subjected to unrelenting, awful racist insults but someone who said he was a neighbor (although not one of the immediate neighbors). The following day those same neighbors planted their beach chairs immediately next to our house and continued to harass our children and us. My husband and I are a same-sex couple, and the family rolled their eyes and made insulting gestures whenever we walked by. We have never experienced such brazen racism and homophobia. We left on our 2nd day, feeling unsafe and extremely disturbed by our stay. If you're LGBT or people of color, I would be cautious about vacationing here.

Pros: Ocean and pool out back door. Cons: Water problems-water dripping from ceiling on master bed, water saturated carpet in one bedroom. Lowest level smells damp at all times. Was surprised

Relaxing beach house

This house has everything that you need. Rooms are very accommodating. Kitchen is fully equipped. Easy beach access makes for long relaxing days on the beach. The pool provides entertainment in the evenings. Spectacular views from upper deck and nice covered deck on second floor. We would consider this property again.

Such a wonderful vacation!

The house was everything we expected and more. The location was fantastic. The beach was not crowded despite being peak season. the upper level deck was my favorite place. i loved watching the sunrise there and watching the waves and looking at the stars after dark. We had 2 families staying here, including 4 children ranging in age from 2-7. The kids loved the house, and there was plenty of space for them to run around and play. The pool was so great for the kids. We spent mornings at the beach and then afternoons at the pool. the house was well equipped with beach and pool toys. Communication with the owners was great. I would love to stay here again someday!

Coffee at Sunrise!

If that was the only thing I did all week, it would have still been a perfect week. The view is AMAZING! The house is very clean and well kept. It's in a great location with many options for activities. The amenities are quite an asset to the property. Everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and with the beach so close you can never say there was nothing to do. The kitchen is fully stocked and and a very nice size for cooking for a crowd. Check-in and check-out were both extremely easy. Their communication was excellent and our family had an enjoyable stay and made incredible memories. I couldn't imagine anyone not having a great time here.

Excellent house

This was the most well furnished and stocked home I have ever stayed in at obx. The kitchen had everything I could possibly need to cook which was a huge help in cooking meals so we didn’t have to eat out every night. The pool was clean and heated perfectly so even when the weather wasn’t great we still got some great outdoor time. The beds were also the most comfortable I’ve experienced at any rental in obx. It was a very quick and easy walk to the beach. The host was very kind and easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again!

A slice of heaven in Nags Head!

Thank you Susan and Rob for a fantastic stay! This beach house has everything you need and more for a week long stay with your family. Plenty of space for 10 people. We did not find one thing wrong and believe me, we looked! Communication with Susan was excellent before, during, and after! Hopefully we can make this trip an annual event. If we do, we will certainly book this place again!

Enjoyed our stay. The outdoor pool was great! Access to the beach was fantastic. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not usable during our stay. Some minor issues with ceiling fans in a couple of the bedrooms.

Worth the drive!

Our family of 4 adults and 3 kiddos (15, 12 & 7) had a great time. The beautiful and large house had enough room for all of us and then some! When we couldn’t get outside and use the amazing heated pool and jacuzzi, The 2 living rooms were a WIN for both parents and kids. The house is well equipped with everything that you need for cooking, hitting the beach and game nights! Great communication with the hosts too! Thank you for a great week!

Good stay

Our stay was very good because of the location and amenities of the house such as location on the beach, pool, hot tub, 5 Bedrooms, well stocked full kitchen. There were a lot of little things that needed attention that were just annoying but didn't greatly impact our stay. Ran out of gas so no heated pool for couple days; Hot Tub continually needed filling (may be a leak?); couldn't get living room fireplace to work; no water in the water water cooler system, also outdated water filter in the fridge so no good filtered water; battery in CO sensor died so had to remove it, reported and not replaced; door in master bedroom won't latch and stay closed; toilet in master BR runs; lightbulb in 2nd floor BR ceiling fan light was burned out. Overall, we were comfortable but house, bikes, etc. are a little dated and needs some attention to detail to make it great.

Beautiful place!

We really enjoyed this property. The beach location was amazing. We had some pretty awful weather during our stay but it did not dampen our spirits. We used the pool and hot tub almost every day. We were a multi generational group and we all found the space comfortable and inviting. Discovered many small local restaurants and shops that were lots of fun.

Wonderful location for family beach week

The location, cleanliness and amenities couldn't be better. Unfortunately, hurricane weather disrupted an absolute perfect week but in spite of those hiccups, I highly recommend this property.

Beach Trip

Great week and weather at the beach. Very well kept and comfortable that made us feel like we were at home. We like the south Nags Head area and this is very close to everything, including Fish Heads. The oceanfront views are amazing from this home. We found paradise!

Great location but support was lacking

Great location on the beach, pictures are fairly accurate but the experience really was diminished because the owner was traveling internationally and was unreachable by voice. Because of the time difference wherever they were traveling, we did exchange texts hours after the issues we had were observed. The most annoying issues were silverfish on the first floor (owner denied this despite pictures) and intermittent electrical outage on one wall of the third floor (where the internet router is located). The text from the owner indicated it was due to a widespread outage in the area but there were no such outages in the first six days of the rental. A vexing short of some kind was going on and it caused unpredictable connection to the internet. A call to VRBO help line resulted in the reply that the owners were traveling internationally. The owner found out I had called the help line and texted me, questioning me as to why I had called the VRBO "complaint" line. I pointed out I was not complaining, just trying to get help, which never came. Great location, disagreeable host.

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time at this house. It was centrally located to stores and restaurants and had so much to offer. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen, bath and beach towels, surf boards, chairs and so much more.. they even had drink coozies to use. We fully enjoyed the use of the pool and hot tub and the BEACH with spectacular views. The owners were easy to reach and very responsive. I would recommend this vacation.

Fantastic Getaway

Beautiful House!

If you are looking for a top notch stay, look no further! This is a beautifully maintained and very clean house. They are fully stocked with everything you could possibly need from an amenities perspective. They even had baby/toddler items - it was great to not lug a high chair/booster seat down in addition to the massive amount of toys in our trunk! The heated pool was an added bonus as we arrived the week after storms so it would have been a bit cold! The owners were extremely responsive and you can tell they want you to enjoy your stay!

Perfect Property

Could not ask for a better location in OBX! Easy travel up and down the coast. The house was beautiful and comfortable. Lots of space for family to spread out. Take note that the kitchen, one bedroom and living area are on the third floor accessed by stairs. You do get your steps in for sure. Private access to the beach with the beach not overcrowded. Look for dolphins when sitting on the deck -- they were plentiful, Short walk to the Pier with great food and beautiful views. Would highly recommend for your OBX visit.
