This luxurious Jasper home awaits in the enchanted land of Big Canoe mountain community! We have called our home “the big cozy” because that’s exactly what it is!! A cozy home with enough space for everyone to feel comfortable. Within the gates of this private North Georgia residential retreat, spend your days serving aces, casting lines, or lounging lakeside with the family. This 4-bed, 4-bath vacation rental boasts high-end furnishings, a screened porch warmed by a gas fireplace, a game room with foosball, and a bunk room to accommodate bigs or littles. Enjoy corn hole and grilling on the deck, or snuggle up on our mega beanbags in the basement and watch a movie. Tire your kids out at the Beach Club then enjoy a parent's wine-tasting getaway at Fainting Goat Vineyards in town!

We are new parents ourselves so we know how important it is for homes to be safe for the kiddos. We’ve got baby gates, a pack and play, a high chair, an umbrella stroller, and lots of toys available for your kids! Part of what makes Big Canoe so appealing is the outdoor amenities including the beach club! We’ve got beach towels and sand toys for the kids as well!

If you're booking The Big Cozy as a getaway for a wedding at one of the many venues close by, the easiest way to map the distance to the venue is to navigate from the Big Canoe Beach Club (Wolfscratch Dr, Big Canoe, GA 30143). We're a short 2 minute drive from the club!

Perfect family getaway

We enjoyed our stay— it was a great fit for our family. We loved that the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook meals at the cabin and toys to keep my 2 year old entertained.

Great Family Vacation

The setting was beautiful, and the house offered enough room for a family of 10 to sleep and live comfortably. Big Canoe is a great place for a vacation.

Loved our stay!

We loved our quick family weekend getaway here and would recommend it to anyone who asks! The house has everything you could ask for, easy to get to, and so much to do in the area. Molly and Robert did a great job communicating with us and answering any questions we had during the weekend, which was so appreciated! We will definitely be back, this is the perfect house to stay at with friends, family, or little ones if you have them!

Great getaway house

Comfortable and roomy enough for 2 families (4 adults and 7 kids) for a long getaway weekend. House was clean and ready for us, and host was quick and helpful when I had a question. Extra beach towels for all 11 of us was a nice bonus!

Great place for our Family Reunion!

Loved our stay in Big Canoe and at the Big Cozy. We especially liked the floor plan that had bedrooms and bathrooms on all three levels. The Big Cozy had everything we needed for our multi-generational family reunion. Communication was easy and the host accommodated our request even though it wasn’t expected. We had a delightful experience at the Big Cozy!

Big Canoe 2024 Family Vacation

My husband and I stayed at Big Cozy with our 3 adult children, their spouses, grandbaby and our teen. There was plenty of space for us to hangout together. We enjoyed the convience of the supplied high chair, beach towels, and shampoo/body wash. We also loved that we were able to enjoy the Wildcat pool, Beach Club and rent a pontoon at the Marina all without leaving Big Canoe.

Girls Family Weekend in the Mountains

Sisters, Sis-in-laws & daughters came together for a 4 night stay in beautiful Big Canoe, Georgia. The Big Cozy cabin was perfect place to enjoy the Big Canoe hiking trails/waterfalls and nearby fall options of apple & pumpkin picking. The kitchen was great for family dinners, bedrooms were comfortable-the kiddos loved the bunk room! And the 5 bathrooms were a bonus for 8 women! Plus the cozy porch and fireplace for enjoying our morning coffee and evening wine! Lots of space to spread out in this well appointed cabin. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy the North Georgia mountains.

Beautiful Resort in North Georgia

Truly a cozy home with two fireplaces and the view from the large picture windows make you feel you are living in the treetops. This three level house has plenty of space for friends and family. Do take advantage of the amenities. Plenty to do inside this resort style neighborhood.

Our Stay

Our stay was overall great. I’d say the only issue were the beds, they were too high. It was hard for our older family to get on the bed, but that was it. The decorations were nice, as well as the views. Beds were nicely done; clean kitchen and living rooms. Thank you for a clean and comfortable stay.

Wonderful 4th of July Getaway

We have stayed in several different rentals in Big Canoe and this was by far our favorite. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you could possibly need. The owner was very easy to work with and responsive. The house was close to all the amenities which is definitely not always the case in Big Canoe. Loved the screen porch, beds were comfortable. 10 out of 10!

Great spot away from the city

Everything about this home was perfect! The bed & bedding were so comfortable and the home had everything a family could need - including space! We could send the kids to the basement to enjoy a little adult time and it was so refreshing upon arrival that so many small amenities were provided and we didn't have to bring or buy any. Communication with Molly was so easy and she was so quick to reply. We will definitely be back!

Well stocked

One of the problems with rentals is that they are not frequently stocked properly with supplies to cook. This property was well stocked with lots of pots and pans and lots of utensils and SHARP knives. So nice! We loved it.

The Big Cozy is delightful in every way!

The Big Cozy is welcoming, comfortable, spacious, and delightful! The property is exactly how it appears in the pictures, and it is extremely clean. Molly and Robert are very responsive hosts and answered all my trip preparation questions about Big Canoe almost immediately. This time there were just two of us, but we are looking forward to bringing more family back in the future. The home is set-up very well to come with extended family and friends and still have plenty of space for everyone. I would highly recommend The Big Cozy and Molly and Robert!

The "Big Cozy" is pretty nasty

the bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms were clean. The rugs in the dining room, living room and carpet downstairs were very dirty. The porches, windows were filthy. The garbage cans in the basement had magots. We were told it was free to swim. It costs either $12 or $20. . per person to use water facilities. Ps. make sure your vehicle has excellent brakes. The hill that this cabin sits on is a real steep hill.

Family getaway

Wonderful home in a beautiful neighborhood! Plenty of space with bedrooms on 3 different levels. Loved the outdoor covered porch with fireplace, which is where I sat to drink my coffee in the mornings! Kitchen fully stocked, comfy beds, top notch bathrooms, basement great for games and movies…we loved the house! And the location was awesome- very easy to find and close to the beach club and hiking trails. Big Canoe is so beautiful- kids loved walking the trails to the falls and enjoyed the beach club amenities- you do have to pay $20/person for the beach club, but it was worth it for the rock slide, water toys (kayaks, paddle board, etc) and the inflatable water park for the younger ones. Thanks Molly for giving us some great family memories! We will def be back at your house again!!

Peaceful Family Getaway

We had a great experience! The house was awesome. We had 4 kids ranging from 3-10. They all had a blast. Love that the house had lots of games, toys, TV's and strong wi-fi. The beach club was a lot of fun with plenty to do, but pricey (when you have a family of 8). The house was well stocked (would have liked to have more spices for cooking). We were farther away from everything than I thought we'd be. The nearest store was about 15 minutes away and it's about an hour and 1/2 away from Atlanta (and the airport). But the mountain was very pretty and peaceful. The host was very responsive to all questions. Overall, it was had a pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a secluded mountain getaway.

Feels like home!

This cabin is appropriately named. It’s very warm and inviting; we felt at home, instantly. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing, but also great communal areas for gathering. Our host, Molly, thought of everything. There were beach towels, beach toys for the kids, fishing poles, an extra fridge (which was great for us), and anything else you might need, she had. The beds were very comfortable as well as all the furniture. The screened in porch was wonderful to be able to sit outside without the bugs…the patio furniture was all gliders and rockers, which we loved. Molly was excellent with communication as well; she’s very kind and friendly. The location was awesome! We were right around the corner from the beach club, the playfield park was super close as well which has a playground for the kids and a nice walking path around the park. We fell in love with this place and are already making plans for our next visit. We will definitely be back!

A Lovely Week at Big Canoe

Good location, easy to find. Close to everything. Nice home and very comfortable All was good. We are very familiar with Big Canoe having owned a home there and this home was convenient to everything. Never saw or spoke with a property manager.

We want to go back!

I can't say enough about this property! The pictures of Big Cozy were beautiful and inviting but the house is even more. It is comfortable and handles the needs of a variety of ages. Our group was 60 to 87. I have to give kudos to Mollie for the communication. You always responded right away and that was so appreciated. You helped us with extending our stay going in and out, also when we had an emergency with a family dog. Big Cozy was in a perfect location for the rehearsal dinner, wedding and next morning brunch. Also to Urgent Care, which we did need. This was my first trip to Big Canoe and Big Cozy but I want to go back. Maybe we can get away from our South Dakota home next year for a visit. Something to look forward to!

Hi! We’re Robert and Molly. We live just North of ATL. We moved to Georgia in 2020 from California. We absolutely love it here. On the weekends you can find us in the water. Whether it’s boating on the lake, fishing on the river, or laying by the pool. We just had our first baby and we can’t wait to dip his toes into the water too!

We absolutely fell in LOVE with Big Canoe. We both love the mountains and all of the amenities that Big Canoe has to offer. It’s the perfectly place for families to entertain their kiddos, couples to have a romantic weekend, friends to gather around the fire, or solo travelers to hikes through the woods.
