Welcome to Sandpiper Cottage... walking distance to restaurants and the popular Footbridge Beach. The Cottage is located on Ocean Street, a lovely residential area, less than a five minute walk and you will have sand between your toes! A variety of restaurants are around the corner to satisfy your taste buds! We are steps away from the trolley stop to bring you to all of Ogunquit's wonders... great location for families, couples or a quiet getaway with friends.

As new owners of this quaint cottage we have updated the cottage with new furniture, new mattresses and bedding, kitchen essentials and the interior has been freshly painted. Sit out in the enclosed porch with a cup of coffee and a good book, have a drink in the evening by the outdoor fire place or take a nap after a long day at the beach. We have central air for those hot days and an outdoor shower to rinse off all that sand. The cottage also offers Wi-Fi, a variety of books, games and DVD's... beach chairs, lawn games, gas grill and washer/dryer. The first bedroom offers a queen bed with a new memory foam mattress and the second bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds with new mattresses/memory foam toppers. There is a new sofa sleeper as well with an additional memory foam pad. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Renters must provide their own bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels. Bedspreads, kitchen towels, hand towels, and shower mat provided.

We are conveniently located just north to downtown Ogunquit, an easy walk or experience a ride on the trolley. Kennebunkport, York (Nubble Lighthouse), and the Kittery outlets are just a short drive away.

Beautiful home, perfect for a girls getaway weekend. Comfortable beds, fully stocked with everything needed. Host was very responsive with all questions. Highly recommend and plan to book again next November!

Superb location.Three beaches all close by.Everything stocked well.Use of it all like grill, fire pit, sweet porch for cards and games and amazing outdoor shower and outdoor eating area.Restaurants close by!Beds very comfortable.Couches not in terrific shape, but, hope to return again and again!

Adorable Place

This property is perfect for a couple with children. It's an easy walk to the Footbridge Beach which is beautiful. Every item in the cottage looks brand new. We had a wonderful stay.

Perfect location

We were in Ogunquit, ME for a wedding and this cottage was perfect for our family. The children loved the bunk beds and we loved how homey and comfortable it was. The location is great being so close to everything and walking distance to the ocean. We would definitely recommend this VRBO as the interaction was kind and very easy to manage.

Great Summer Home

Loved it, very very clean, enjoyed the front porch immensely. Emily made sure you had everything you needed for your stay, beds were really comfortable, like I mentioned before my granddaughter and I spent a lot of time on the front porch. The home is located close to everything,

Great House & Location

This house was perfect for our family of 5. I have been coming to Ogunquit since I was little and Footbridge beach is my favorite. The location could not be better… we walked to the beach everyday. The house had everything we needed and we are definitely looking forward to coming back next summer.

Staying the year prior on Ocean St we knew the location is almost top level- Close to the beach, just outside traffic zone to go on excursions and walk to town. The Beachfire next door, you can only get good food and AMAZING service. Unfortunately being butted up against the back of the property- be ready for bags of bottles being very loud into the dumpster, cigarette smoke overwhelming and the garbage smell can be "mask" worthy at times. On arrival easy to get in, spacious actually can sleep 8. Fair on cleanliness but more disturbing was the pet hair in the couch and bedroom. I'm extremely allergic so I found myself stuffed up and eyes hurting but hey, we spent a lot of time not even in the house. The A/C stopped working on the 2nd day, although the owner tried to control online it never got fixed. I did call to let them know it was still out near the end and response was awkward at best. Lucky for us we brought an extra fan. The garbage only got partly picked up so that was an issue, the Ironing board had something on it and stained my shirt, the Kurig floating stuff in it & beach chairs were so dirty it was cringy. Didn't bother with fire pit or grill For the price this is a skip, it just seemed more of a bother to the owners to ensure a pleasant stay. Instead I was worried they'd think I broke everything and was the one who left things strewn in the backyard. However, definitely visit the Beachfire, the Lobster pound and Wheels and waves for some biking!

We are glad you enjoyed the location, the proximity to Footbridge Beach, and the nearby restaurants and attractions that make Ogunquit such a special place. We are sincerely sorry that several aspects of your stay did not meet expectations. Cleanliness, guest comfort, and responsiveness are priorities for us, and we regret that issues with beach chairs, the Keurig, the ironing board impacted your experience. We have shared your comments with the cleaners.. Regarding the air conditioning, we understand how frustrating it was when the system stopped working during your stagy. While we attempted to troubleshoot the issue remotely, we recognize that the problem was not resolved to your satisfaction, and for that we apologize. As for the neighboring restaurant operations, including occasional dumpster pickups and activity behind the property, these are unfortunately outside of our control. However, we appreciate the feedback and understand how those factors may affect experience. We also want to clarify that this is our home, not a hotel. It is never our intention to make guests feel uncomfortable or concerned about being blamed for maintenance issues or normal wear or tear, but it we also understand that people come with a range of expectations. We strive to create a welcoming environment where guests can relax and enjoy their vacation. We appreciate your candid feedback, as it helps us improve. Thank you for staying with us.

Walk to the beach

Spent weekend with friends. End of October and 82 degrees, pure sun. Went swimming! Had dinner at Cliff House and breakfast at Greenery Cafe. Great location. Walked to beach.

Girls Weekend

I had a very positive experience during my stay over the weekend. The house was very clean and within walking distance of a few bars and restaurants. It was noted to bring bedding linens and towels for your stay. The washer and dryer works as well. The one bathroom was tough with a group of 6 but not a deal breaker.

Amazing Beach Getaway

We had a wonderful week staying at Emilys cottage. The location is perfect; short walk to the beach and then 1 mile to downtown and 2 miles to perkins cove. The cottage had all the amenities and the kids loved the bunk bed room. The whale decorations and beach vibe was relaxing and perfect. We would highly recommend and stay here again. My only constructive criticism is that the driveway is very small and barely fits 2 cars so perhaps trimming some of the bushes would make more room; it was hard to get kids in/out of the car. The house also had a bit of a musty smell that would notice everytime entered and some of our clothes when leaving also smelled so perhaps the house needs to get aired out a bit but overall not deal breakers and would recommend as a great place to stay with a family for a beach getaway!
