A beautiful historic feel with all the modern touches. Loved the historic Dubuque decor. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked. The front porch was how we started each morning. The screened in porch is where we ended each day! Definitely would come again!

Very well maintained, clean and comfortable home on an hill overlooking the city. Easy access and walkable to downtown Dubuque and the rest of the area. Very clear communication with the owner Tom, who was helpful with questions and concerns.

We loved the beautiful, spacious house including the wonderful porches! It was clean and well kept. The decorations, furniture, carpets, etc. fit well with the house. We enjoyed being able to live in a historic house for a few days, instead of just walking through and not being able to touch anything. There is so much to see and do in Dubuque, but we wished we could have spent more time just relaxing at the house. Highly recommend this place! The hosts were great, too!

This is a must stay home. It is great for a family friendly get away. Every room is comfortable, clean and beautiful. We were there in the summer and air conditioning kept the home very cool. Plenty of space, wrap around porch to sit and read and enjoy. The screened in porch is a nice gathering spot. Kitchen is reasonably stocked. It is a very well kept historic house, 5 out of 5 stars!!

Nice, historic house. Loved the chess board table, hot tub, outside sitting areas, and the wood burning stove! Check in and check out were super easy.

Beautiful home with ample space for an amazing girls weekend. From early morning coffee on the front porch - to afternoons soaking in the hottub after biking or hiking the Mines of Spain trails - to evening dinners in the screened in porch smelling the fresh flowers and sipping wine - to top notch communication from the owners. We would all recommend this home to our friends.

Great house, great neighborhood!

We were in town for a funeral and found this house on vrbo. It worked out perfectly with plenty of space and the location was beautiful and convenient. Beds were comfortable and quiet. We will stay there again!

Charming house

We very much enjoyed our stay. We had 2 families including children and felt that the accommodations met our needs. Loved the location, the character, and the added little touches that were provided. Would definitely consider staying here again.

We couldn’t be more happy with our stay at the Highland house . Everything was clean and directions were very through . We also enjoyed the hot tub !! Location was great for us .

Group get together in Dubuque

This house was a great homebase for our group. Good location, comfortable stay, nice communal spaces, small playground nearby for toddlers, a beautiful front porch, and nice screened in patio as well. Hot tub a nice added benefit. Would stay there again!

Only reason for 4 stars was due to some of the steep roads to get to the house. Bedrooms were very bright during the night with the street lights and during the morning. We loved the house and it was so charming!
