Located just minutes by boat from the exclusive Little Palm Island Resort; a short boat ride to one of the most beautiful snorkeling and dive sites in North America: Looe Key Reef; immediate access to both deep sea and backcountry fishing; you are nestled in the heart of the historic Florida Keys.

Duval Street in the heart of old town Key West is a scenic half hour away from the house, and the airport is a 25 minute drive.

Within 5 minutes from the house, you will find - a state of the art fitness facility, a wonderful wine and liquor store, a neighborhood grocery, a hardware store, dive shops, countless bait and tackle shops - one of the best restaurants in the Lower Keys (1 minute up the street - the Square Grouper) and several local restaurants and watering holes with putt putt golf and live entertainment. Big Pine is 10 minutes from the House - and has a Walgreens, CVS, a Winn Dixie Grocery Store, a great bike rental shop and a full service boat service shop/marina.

There is a newly refurbished bike path throughout the Lower Keys on Highway 1, so if you are a bike enthusiast, you will love it!

PARADISE

We travelled to L'anquesa to escape the big city and spend time with family, and found much much more! Every detail of this vacation home is carefully thought through for maximum convenience and enjoyment. From the exquisite tiles in the bathrooms, to the sonos music players and technology throughout the house, the boat dock, heated pool, outdoor seating, roof deck, renovated kitchen, and the list goes on, this house perfect. I felt like I was staying in my own private 5 star hotel. The amenities also make the house perfect for any vacation (family adventures, relaxing with friends, romantic couples trip, and more)! Not only was the house incredible, but the owner helped organize excellent excursions including SUCCESSFUL lobstering and fishing day trips, yoga and massages on a rainy day, and the most delicious dinner at Hot Tin Roof in Key West. Thank you so much, Elizabeth - we are so grateful. We've already booked another trip and are counting down the days until we go back to L'anquesa! Can't wait!

AMAZING HOME

Pool, dock, luxury home, location. This place has it all. Could not possibly ask for more. Our family never wants to leave the compound. Not even for dinner. Best vacation experience ever.

Absolutely beautiful home, completely equipped, gorgeous views from every room yet full privacy

This is my second visit to La''Anquesa, staying for more than a month each time. The home and furnishing are beautiful while very comfortable. The grounds are lovely and the garden around the pool makes it very private. While there is plenty of sun for sunbathers, there are lovely shady spots and a large lanai equipped with a full bar area and very comfortable chairs. Everything you could need for cooking a gourmet meal or grilling up steaks is there. The bedroom and bath suites are gorgeous with fabulous views and each with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The Apple TV and Sonos sound system are great features and Elizabeth is the consummate gracious host making sure you have everything you need including booking boats or whatever you would like to try. Key Wast is nearby but this is a wonderfully peaceful, beautiful corner of the Keys. I'll be back.

Beautiful vacation

We had a wonderful, peaceful vacation at this beautiful property over Christmas. My husband, myself and our 2 sons and their significant others enjoyed all that the area had to offer. It's a quick drive into Key West to eat at the many wonderful restaurants and take in the night life. We actually spent most of our time beside the beautiful pool soaking up the warm sun. The outside area near the pool is fabulous with a huge grill and lots of seating in and out of the sun. The inside of the house is luxurious and well appointed with everything you need. Comfortable beds, cozy furniture and the views are spectacular and every room has a view. Not to mention the wonderful rooftop deck where we enjoyed a glass of wine while star gazing. While the area is still cleaning up from Irma all the businesses in the area are up and running. Elizabeth the owner of this wonderful home made sure we had everything we needed and we will be back.

Pictures are spot on!

This is the perfect location if you are looking to take advantage of everything the keys has to offer. From water access, to nightly sunsets, lazy days by the pool, and fishing from the front steps, this property has everything. Key West is a quick trip down highway 1 and Square Grouper in the neighborhood is the best restaurant around. I would highly recommend this property for both adults and families and will definitely return.

Incredible house and location!

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful house with 2 other couples for our 30th anniversary. Overall, we had an amazing time in an amazing house at an amazing location! We rented a boat for the week right around the corner from the house, and snorkeled looe key twice, boated to Marvin key and lounged in the warm sandy beach/water and drove down to key west for a day. All that was great, but matched by grilling out, swimming in the pool, kayaking in the bay, and playing games after dinner at the house!!!! Oh, and do watch the sunset from the roof....we did it every day! Can't go wrong with this house....I've rented homes around the world and this was top 5%!

Perfect!

Quality in Every Detail

This rental is exceptional in every detail. The structure, construction, decorating, and stocking of this property have all been thought out very carefully. Once you are there, you could spend the entire week at the property and be entirely happy; but don't do that because there is so much to enjoy in this area. The location in the lower Keys is residential and quiet, but it is very quick drive to Key West if you crave excitement or a very manageable drive to Marathon for a cruise down the 7 mile bridge, a visit to the Sea Turtle Hospital or to find a wide variety of dining options. The view from the house is spectacular. Beds and linens are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for any cooking need. The margarita machine is a real treat. The house is equipped with great flat screen TV's. The pool, grill and outdoor dining area are a dream. The rooftop deck can keep you occupied both day and night. The house was spotlessly clean on arrival. It is a 3 story property without an elevator, but the stairs have railings on both sides and are easily manageable. We were here with our college age children. No one ever complained that they were bored. We all had adequate space in the house. We kayaked and went deep sea fishing. There are several good places to dine in Cudjoe Key when we didn't want to travel farther. There is a great little gourmet market in Summerland Key and a large Winn Dixie in Big Pine Key. We enjoyed some meals cooking at home and some meals going out. The owner is very helpful in providing any detail and strives to make your stay perfect in every way. We would recommend this property without hesitation. We hope we will return!

Wow! What a beautiful spot

Family Christmas vacation was spent in this Beautiful luxury home. Had a fantastic time really enjoyed the pool and daily kayaking. Close enough to Key West but not too close Highly recommend!!

As perfect as one can imagine

We took our adult twin daughters, and their husbands, to the keys and stayed in Elizabeth's beautiful home. Truly everything about L'Anquesa was idyllic; from the view to the location, the outfitting of the home, the ease & comfort with which the home flows and the overall atmosphere. Even though L'Anquesa is not a luxurious hotel, it feels as if every need is tended to and is surrounded by absolute beauty. But, even better than a 4 star hotel, we all had our own "suites" complete with privacy and fully outfitted baths and yet had the closeness of a home when we all wanted it. The main family room is warm & inviting, literally steps to the ocean, has an open, fully outfitted kitchen and many more than the 6 of us would be very comfortable lounging here. The pool is perfect, there is an outside "family room" which we didn't even know about before we arrived, with large flat screen TV and fully equipped bar, open to the pool and the beautiful landscaping. You can feed a huge family from the grill, pots, pans, tools.......everything you have in your own home is here and, equally important, it's all spotless. The views from every room, including all the bedrooms, is limitless and perfect. There is a boat slip on the property so we rented a boat for the week which made for even a better time. And Elizabeth was a dream. From questions prior to booking to getting back to me about what we should do if Hurricane Matthew hit during our stay (it did not....we were fortunate as it was close!), Elizabeth always got back to me quickly and informatively. I do not like to travel, I am most definitely a home-body. Although I am still a home-body I would not hesitate to go back to L'Anquesa. It was absolutely perfect in every way for the 6 of us.

Exclusive Magnificent Ocean Home

This home, in person, is even better than the pictures on the website! The beautiful landscaping gives you a sense of extreme privacy in a lush tropical resort. The property is teeming with marine and mammal wildlife. We saw a manatee, shark, horseshoe crab, iguanas, and a plethora of bird species right in the waters, not even five feet from the land! Waking up in the morning to gorgeous sun rises after sleeping on the most comfortable beds, then jumping in the heated pool; totally rejuvenated our minds and bodies! Ms. Elizabeth catered to our every need and her advice on where to eat, shop and sightsee was spot on! Visiting the Dry Tortugas national park by seaplane was breathtaking! We sincerely recommend this exceptional home!

The BEST VRBO home we have stayed in.

This home is 100% as advertised on the VRBO listing. Spectacular views from every room and the back yard / pool. We loved the kayaks, the pool, and all the nearby restaurants. The service and information provided by the owner was everything we could ask for. We highly recommend this home for a special occasion get away!

Beautiful stay in a lovely home

Our family enjoyed a week in Cudjoe Key at this beautiful home. We brought our 24 foot boat and were pleased with the boat dock and easy access to the water. The pool area and outdoor kitchen were great places to spend the time when the weather was not suitable for being on the boat. The home has fantastic views and a great rooftop area where we watched sunsets each night. Elizabeth has done a fantastic job with the furnishings in the house. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants a beautiful place to stay in the lower keys!

Incredible Views, Outstanding Home!

WOW......definitely the first response when entering the main living area of this incredible home. The views, the decor, the landscape....all are outstanding. The photos provided in the VRBO Ad truly reflect the beauty. With seven house guests, this home was adequately equipped for comfort for all guests. The top floor, dual Master Suites were absolutely stunning, with a wrap around deck overlooking the ocean. The Bidets in the In Suite baths were a real treat for all of the guests. The roof top deck provided spectacular views of the ocean, sunrise, sunsets and stars. It was a little too hot to sun but you had the gorgeous pool for that purpose. I dropped one star in the rating due to the amount of stairs in this home. Ours was a 50+ crowd and the continuous up and down stairs was a challenge for some. The pool does not have a pool bath, which requires a full flight of stairs whenever you needed the facilities. Coming in and out of the home required a full flight of stairs. The Master Suites required two full flight of stairs and the roof top deck required three flights of stairs. BUT, in defense, this style and architecture is required in the Florida Keys with its low elevation and seaside location. This home is not recommended for the elderly, those with health issues, and/or very young children (bring the baby gates). Restaurants that are hard to find but worth the search: No Name Pub on Big Pine Key and Hogfish Grill on Stock Island. Boat Rental: We used Big Pine Boat Rentals at mile marker 24.5, great service, great price, and helpful in getting us to Looe Key for snorkeling. Fishing: Southpaw Fishing Charter, Captain Brad. Although the fishing was slow, Captain Brad searched the high seas to put us on Dolphin and Sailfish. Thanks to Elizabeth for her timely response to all inquiries and for assisting with all of our needs.

In a word, FANTASTIC!!!

I have stayed in places all over the world and I would rank Elizabeth's home in the top 3 if not the top 2. It exceeded our expectations which were already high after seeing the pictures and reading the comments online. The house was outstanding in every way, views from every part of the house, kitchen, large den and bedrooms, great pool area with wonderful view, and even bidets in the master bathrooms. And the Sonos sound system was amazing. We had 3 couples and had plenty of privacy when we wanted. Close enough to key west to be there in 25 minutes but we really didn't need or want to leave the house. Several close by great little places to eat and good seafood. We grilled out most of our stay with the nice big grill by the pool with the great view. Elizabeth was helpful when I had questions and made sure we had everything we needed. With quick responses too. I was a little bit scared of the price when I booked it but the moment we arrived I was well pleased. With three couples the cost per night was less than a nice hotel and 10 times better. Bottom line, don't wait or hesitate. BOOK THIS HOUSE!! You will not regret it. Absolutely fantastic!!!! : )

This was a fantastic vacation for our family from Minnesota. Everything was absolutely beautiful!!! The pool was refreshing, sound system was great, viewing stars from the roof was breathtaking as well as the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Paradise

There really are not words that accurately describe the perfection of this house. The attention to detail is spectacular right down to the remote controlled blackout shades and roof top area that enabled a view of the stars that I never dreamed possible. The only problem with L'Anquesa was leaving it behind.
