It’s a nice new house with a big kitchen if you will be cooking. I liked the secluded location and walk down to the cove. This was my second visit.

Awesome house! We had a great stay. The kids absolutely loved the basketball court, and the back porch was so peaceful, the perfect place to relax. Everything was spotless. We also really appreciated that there were plenty of towels, which is a huge plus when you have kids who somehow think a towel can only be used once! We’d definitely stay here again!

We had a great experience here! It is a perfect spot with 3 teenage boys. The space, environment, everything is fine. The house itself is beautiful and has all accessoires needed. The island is beautiful with a lot of peaceful villages and restaurants.Well located for a day trip to Acadia National Park, which is an approximately 1 hour drive.Overall, we would definitely recommend to stay here, with an outstanding host (Rachael) as well!

11/10 starsOkay, I NEVER write reviews, but this property beyond exceeded all expectations. As a teacher and staunch perfectionist, I'm trained to find flaws in almost everything. This place is unequivocal in beauty, peace, and solitude. Unbelievable. Don't even think of hesitating to book this place now!

It’s amazing how a small dirt road off a busy road can lead to this serene getaway! I am always happy to know others find it as special as I do. The quiet, solitude (except for the occasional wildlife) and view of the night stars is amazing for sure! Thank you for being great guests! I will leave a light on for you!

The cottage was great! It has everything you need to enjoy your stay — comfortable beds in comfortable bedrooms, everything you need in the kitchen, lots of great towels and hot water, fast WiFi, good laundry facilities, a covered deck and barbecue and, last but not least, excellent hosts. The electrical power went out briefly while we were there. Rachel and her husband came over within 10 minutes of the power going out to check that the generator had come on immediately, which it had, and to make sure that everything else was going well (which it was). We didn’t have time to enjoy all the walking and other activities that were available to us — we’re looking forward to doing that when we return.

We had a great stay at this clean, centrally-located home. The host was very responsive and helped us with extending our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed (though we would have preferred if the pots were not non-stick and the plates melamine). Overall, we loved our vacation at A Stone’s Throw, and look forward to return visits to the area. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

I’m very happy to hear you enjoyed your stay! It is a great place to return to after a day of exploring. Also, I am happy that the weather was not as rainy as was perdicted. You are more than welcome to come back anytime, thank you for bring such great guests! I am sorry that you did not like our pots and pans. Ceramic coated cookware Is one of the few kinds we can still purchase in Maine, which meets the PFAS, PFOA, PTFE, Gen X, APEO, lead, and cadmium free reqirments. I also have new dinner ware arriving soon as well. I appreciate A fellow health conscious person, every little thing helps.

Great place

Property was as advertised and owners were great, very helpful with the local knowledge. Lobster from owner, fresh from the boat, was outstanding!
