Nice home, great location, but a few small issues

We have vacationed in Wild Dunes for 14 years and have stayed in lots of different homes. This was our first time staying in Fairway Oaks. We loved the location - middle of WD and really close to beach access. The area was very peaceful and quiet, even with construction on the house next door. The decor was mostly updated and comfortable. However.... There were some weird things about the house. The biggest thing is that the nicest, largest bathroom is on the first floor while the master bedroom is upstairs. The bathroom that is next to the master bedroom (only room with king bed and walk-in closet) had less storage and a much smaller shower with minimal water pressure. It felt strange that our kids had a much nicer bathroom than we did. Also, the house was not as clean as I would expect from WD. It needed a good dusting, and the floors didn't seem like they had been mopped in a while. We found someone's toiletry bag in a drawer of the upstairs bathroom. It seemed weird that housekeeping didn't notice it. There is a small bathroom on the ground floor that would have been great to use after coming off the beach. We weren't able to use it, however, because it had never been cleaned from a previous guest. A dirty washcloth was on the floor, along with shampoo bottles and trash. I told the girl at WD office, and she offered to have someone clean it. We declined since we were already settled in. She assured me the bathroom would get cleaned on Wednesday during our mid-week cleaning. The cleaning was basically a bathroom straightening and a change of towels. Floors still needed a good mopping, and the dirty bathroom was untouched. We were not impressed AT ALL with the cleaning staff. Overall, the house was nice, but I don't think we would stay there again. It just wasn't our favorite, and there are lots of other options at that price point. The cleaning issue definitely sealed the deal for us.
