Perched above a charming barn and set on four peaceful acres shared with the main house, the Loft is a serene and private retreat ideal for relaxation, inspiration, or a romantic weekend away.
This Loft is on the same property where we live, so although private, chances are you will see us on the property coming or going or working in the garden!
Step onto your private deck and take in views of the lush gardens and orchard—a tranquil backdrop for morning coffee or evening stargazing. The interior is bright, airy, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and ease, making it a cozy home base after a day of adventuring.
Located just 2 miles from the heart of the picturesque town of Roxbury, you’ll be close to the best of New England charm. Stroll through historic streets, explore local farms, or spend an afternoon antiquing. You’re also only 8 miles from Washington Depot and New Milford, both are famous as the inspiration for Gilmore Girls, where you'll find boutique shopping, galleries, and excellent dining.
Outdoor enthusiasts will love the easy access to hiking trails, cross-country skiing, and nearby ski mountains. Art and history lovers can explore local museums, studios, and cultural landmarks scattered throughout the region.

This rental was exactly as pictured—adorable, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. This was our second stay, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The host was responsive, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay easy and enjoyable. We hope to stay here again next year!

This is a fantastic accommodation if you are looking for a place in Western Connecticut with quick access to any number of attractions/highways/restaurants/points of interest.The loft itself is impeccably kept and communication with the host is fantastic.Highly recommend.

This was my second time at Lisa's. I want to stay here every time I am in the area. It feels so luxurious, so comfortable. Like I am truly on vacation. It has everything I need and the setting is just gorgeous.

it was a pleasant trip , we had a few issues but Lisa and her husband matt took care of them quickly and after that is was great , and of course the dogs were good as well

This charming loft is an outbuilding on a beautiful property. Stately trees, lawns and gardens abound. The loft is well appointed and just far enough away from the main house to ensure privacy. There are two loving dogs on the property that pretend their fierce, but it doesn't take much to get them showing their yummy side. Communication between Lisa and me was so helpful at every stage. Hospitality plus!

This was a very nice, well kept property. We loved our stay here and would definitely book it again. Host, Lisa, was very accommodating and easy to visit with.

I had a wonderful stay at Lisa's renovated barn loft, which is exactly as pictured--a perfect mix of modern amenities and rustic charm. It's filled with light and has a back deck where you can enjoy views of a lovely garden and orchard while listening to the birds in the evergreen stand that lines the yard and makes it feel quite private. At night, it's quiet except for the gentle hum of tree frogs and crickets, and I slept soundly in the luxuriously soft bed. Lisa and her husband, Matt, were terrific hosts, very welcoming and responsive, and they keep their loft spotless and well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Their property also makes a great home base if you are exploring Washington, Lake Waramaug, Woodbury, or Southbury. Thank you for everything, Lisa and Matt! I would definitely come back for another visit.

The Loft was so delightful that it really enhanced my vacation. Clean, cozy and comforte are all good adjectives, but it went beyond that, to feeling like a sanctuary.

GORGEOUS peaceful setting, BEAUTIFULLY decorated, so comfortable and relaxing, spotlessly clean, wonderful friendly hosts that answer questions or assistance immediately. I can’t recommend enough! Just note that there are stone steps and sidewalk, and spinner luggage can be tricky. Recommend 1000%!

Wonderful place, kind hosts
Beautiful property, perfect size for our family of 4. Hosts and 2 dogs on property were very kind. Our kids usually don’t like staying away from home and they loved it here!

We had a great stay while visiting with family and friends in CT. The loft is lovely, tastefully decorated and surrounded by beautiful, green and serene grounds. Two very friendly dogs added to the fun.
