We will definitely try and stay again next time we are there for a visit. The place is very clean and comfy. Cute Christmas decorations.

Great Place!

My husband and I had a wonderful time visiting Homosassa. The property is very well maintained and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were very new and clean. The duplex was well equipped with everything we needed, even though we didn’t really use the kitchen. My only little complaint is that I reserved the duplex based on the pictures I saw on the listing, which is the duplex with the white kitchen cabinets. However, the owner put me in the other side; the kitchen with brown cabinets. I only say this to inform future renters that you may not get the one you actually reserve. Either way, the stay was excellent and we had a wonderful time!

Yes she is right Having issues with plumbing people throw everything in the toilet should have communicated better did not want a issue it was too late too cancel sorry will try to do better

Clean, cozy & comfortable

The rental unit itself was great, it was the host's actions that we had issues with. We would have given the place a 5 rating if it hadn't been for three things: 1) When we booked, kayaks were listed as available and it showed kayak access on the canal behind the property. Locked kayaks were in the backyard but with no paddles available and no instructions on how to access them. There was no usable put-in & take-out spot either which is why we didn't pursue using the kayaks. 2) We feel that if political viewpoints are going to be "in your face" then that should be indicated in the listing. We think the huge Trump 2024 banner hanging over the carport was in poor taste. Had we seen the flag in the the listing photos we would have selected a different rental. 3) The day before our arrival I still hadn't received the access code. We had to contact the host for the access info and to learn how to turn the TV on. (You had to go to Spectrum first, but we had no way to know that since there was no written info left for us.) In fact, there was NO extra info provided at all including the standard welcome packet that includes maps, suggested things to do, restaurants, etc.

I apologize that you did not enjoy your stay at my duplex, the kayaks are never locked, usually we rent the kayaks out to our guests but during your stay we had decided to let you use the kayaks for free. I’m sorry you did not like the flags that we have hanging in our carport which includes the American flag as well and supporting our military police firefighters, etc. Please remember that America is freedom of speech. And freedom of expression. We’ve had very many guest stay at our duplex, and not one has complained about the flags hanging in the carport. As avid kayakers, it is very easy to put a kayak in from the deck below. As far as the TV it is a smart TV and I do apologize that you did not know how to use a smart TV, the door code is changed for every guests and every guest receives the door code The day before their check-in. Once again, I apologize that you did not enjoy your stay here with us, but I do feel that the lines of communication were opened with every question that you had and we fulfilled every need thank you and enjoy your day.

Incredible!

This place could not be more perfect. The unit is beautifully decorated and has every possible amenity you could want. Beautiful canal front outdoor space is stunning. The location is within walking distance to all the fun things in Homosassa. The owner is so kind and helpful. This will be my favorite place to stay again and again.
