Making Waves

This completely remolded home was built in the early 1950’s. My husband remolded the home in 2012.
It is very homey and has been decorated with beach decor from one end to the other.
The kitchen has everything you would need from electric skillet to a crockpot.
It has foils,baggies, salt, pepper, oil, coffee and filters.
So much charm and very inviting.
We are centrally located in Jacksonville. Close to all military bases and the beaches.
The space
We are approximately 35 minutes to several beaches.
The home has a very relaxing atmosphere.
Outside sitting with a fire pit.

A wonderful place to stay during our vacation. It provided everything we needed, was very clean and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. We would love to stay again and would highly recommend.

This is a place were you can enjoy a peaceful neighborhood, closer to good restaurants and many’s stores available, everything is beautiful view all around. There is also a lot of beaches nearby to visit.

Great property - very clean, very comfortable bed and a kitchen with everything you need to make the stay comfortable. Communication with Rhonda was great and check in and out was easy.

This charming cottage was very clean and neat. It was perfect for our needs, and our hostess was a great communicator. My son was having surgery at the naval hospital and this sweet place was less than 10 minutes away. There are plenty of restaurants and shops close by. A great location, and a quiet street. We were very pleased! Will definitely be staying here again when we need to return to Jacksonville overnight.

This house is truly comfortable and invitingplenty of resturants to walk to and shopping conveniently close by. Our house had many homey touches very easy to settle in.

Beautiful Place!

Extremely super clean, decorated very nicely, comfy beds, very hospitable and accommodating, great location 15 minutes from Geiger, I would love to stay here again!!

Rhonda is great!! The home is clean and well stocked. Games, coloring books, extra linens all in the Walk in closet. When I first pulled onto the street, I was honestly afraid the road noise would be a lot. But the home is quiet! Rhonda lives nearby but extends whatever amount of privacy you want. I'll definitely be back.

I had a wonderful stay! The property was clean, comfortable, and located in a quiet neighborhood. It was also conveniently located close to everything we needed, which made getting around Jacksonville very easy.Rhonda was proactive, responsive, and a great host. She communicated well and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.The only thing I would suggest improving is the height of the beds. At 5’1”, I actually had to hop to get into bed, so they may be difficult for shorter guests to access comfortably. A small step stool or lower bed frame could make a big difference.Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily stay here again!

Was very impressed with our stay here. Convenient access to area attractions. Drive to Topsail Beach less than an hour away. Will definitely return to use this property in the future. Host was very accommodating and property was immaculate.

Wonderful stay

Rhonda was very sweet and answered all of questions right away. We felt right at home and appreciated all of the little extras that were there for us! I would highly recommend her property and will definately book with her again for our next visit!

Amazing home

Lovely house equipped with all that small stuff you usally want to buy for a short stay (dishwasher tabs, coffee filter, spices, ...) Very friendly and helpful owner.

Perfect

Wonderful location (close to base), clean, with tons of amenities... ideal for a visit with military family/friends. Rhonda was a great host and very accommodating/understanding on late check-in/out due to schedules. Would happily stay at "Making Waves" again!

Nice and relaxing

The vibe of making waves was perfect for a nice relaxing evening after a busy day with family. The house was very clean and my kids enjoyed the snacks and water that was there. The perfect place for a small get away.

We traveled from WV to see family in the area and enjoyed our stay very much! Communication was wonderful. My kids enjoyed the snacks & board games! Appreciated the extra towels & blankets. She even had the smallest things like tape, seasonings, & a first aid kit on hand. The home was very neat and clean! Definitely would stay again. Thank you!

Southern Hospitality

Our stay was wonderful. The house was clean and cozy. Our host was awesome. She was amazing. Tended to our needs personally. We were shone Southern Hospitality at it's best. Definitely staying again.

Cute place!

This house was amazing! It is central to so much around Jacksonville and surrounding areas. The house is well maintained and has everything you need for your stay. If we are down in that area again I would definitely go with this house again. The hostess Rhonda is an amazing lady and goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. I wish we had more than 2 days here!

Irene was a great guest. They are welcome back anytime. They were very quiet, followed rules and left the house clean. The only problem I had was they didn’t stay long enough.. Thanks Irene for staying at Making Waves. I enjoyed our little chat. I look forward to another visit.
