Welcome to Salt Spray!

This cozy cottage sits on one of the highest points on Bailey Island with breathtaking views all around it. With an exceptionally spacious yard this property allows you to walk and enjoy sunrises as well as sunsets whether with a coffee or a cocktail! Inside this newly remodeled cottage you will find a bedroom on the first floor with a queen size bed as well as its own full size bathroom. There is another full bathroom downstairs off of the living area as well. The loft for sleeping upstairs has a queen and two twins. For addition sleeping the living room futon converts into a full size bed as well. The views from inside are almost as amazing at outside with several windows to see the panoramic water views. This property is also located in a fantastic walking spot to enjoy an evening walk or a quick trip down to Mackerel Cove. The updated kitchen and bathrooms allow you to enjoy all the modern comforts in this cottage.

* Please note this property rents Saturday-Saturday in summer. The calendar will show available check-in check-out days and the week in-between will be grayed out.
Fireplace is not for renter(s) use.

Stunning Views

This is a tidy cottage with tremendous, uninterrupted water views. The inside decorations have a college vibe: beer signs on the walls, foosball table in the center of the room, futon instead of a couch. The sleeping loft was fun for the kids, and the space was clean and well-appointed. I second the comment that the cottage would benefit from comfortable chairs for reading, relaxing, and enjoying the scenery. Overall, it was a nice space and a good base for visiting the Casco Bay Region.

A wonderful stay

The cabin is in a wonderful location with stunning views. Getting there the first time was a bit confusing. You must go by the directions given because the map drops you in the wrong place entirely. The home is well equipped and the staff super responsive to inquiry. Absolutely adored the whole experience. Just a suggestion: One thing that would make the experience perfect would be two comfortable chairs. The furniture is functional and does it’s job but honestly needs a kick back kind of chair where you can just relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the place. Overall a great experience and getaway! We are planning to come back soon.

Scenic and private cottage by the sea

Adorable cottage in private quiet location with beautiful views of bay. Very clean and well stocked kitchen for the most part. Great deck to enjoy the views and sunset. Since it was just my husband and myself we did not use the sleeping loft. Could be an issue for seniors since access by ladder steps but a great place for kids. Also had difficulty accessing programs on TV. A suggestion to make the living room more comfortable would be comfortable sofa in place of futon and chairs with reading light. Also, although you technically have access to water on the property it is a distance and would be difficult to launch kayaks.

What a setting!

The setting of this property is really stunning. The views of the ocean and the land were really beautiful and picturesque. We really fell in love with the property. The interior has a really cool look with a very well equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. I agree with other reviewers that the furniture--both inside and outside--could be better and more comfortable. Also, the ladder to get to the loft is impractically steep. Despite that, I would definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful Birthday Getaway

Salt Spray is on a beautiful piece of property! We couldn't have asked for better views and nice walking path right to the water. Very clean and just a few questions with the property were dealt with right away. Impressed with communication. If we didn't want to explore some new areas of Maine, would definitely return to Salt Spray!

Delightful Retreat by the Sea

This cozy cabin brings delight to the senses with its calming sounds from the ocean and the with view of the colorful lobster boats, and sailboats out on the water. The interior of the home had a very new and functional kitchen and a very large bathroom with great size washer/drier. The décor was simple yet made the interiors feel warm and homey.

Great Stay

Great location and view. The property was clean and looked to be recently renovated. Small hike to the rocky shore. Highly recommend checking out the nearby restaurants.
