Step out the front door and dive straight into world-class fishing, hunting, hiking, or biking—or hop on your 4-wheeler and hit the trails to Bear Bluff, Montreal Falls, and Copper Harbor.

We’re just minutes away from local favorites and historic Keweenaw gems:

Outdoor Hotspots: Kick back at the Mount Bohemia Spa, cruise the local ATV and snowmobile trails, sink your toes into the gorgeous, white "singing sands" of Bete Grise, launch your boat or kayak at the public boat launch, or grab supplies at the Lac La Belle store.

Must-See Local Sightseeing: Tour the historic Delaware Copper Mine, catch epic fall foliage, bird migrations, and Lake Superior panoramas from the Brockway Mountain lookout, wander among massive ancient trees in the Estivant Pines old-growth forest, or step back in time at historic Fort Wilkins State Park with its interactive displays and period-costumed actors.

It's a cool little place to stay. The little kitchen is fantastic to cook up a small meal for two and I would think it could be expanded to a meal for a few more.

The perfect getaway!

This trip was exactly what we were looking for. We were able to cook have fires sight see and relax. This was amazing and we will definitely be back!

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay. Had an issue with a bed frame on night 1 but the owners were very responsive and fixed the problem timely (which was greatly appreciated). This was the perfect place to get away from technology and unwind with limited distractions.

The Bungalow is in a quiet location along Lac Le Belle and within close proximity to Mt Bohemia (the Nordic Spa is beyond incredible!!!). Wood fired pizza. Copper Harbor. Walleye fishing. Perfect weather!

Very quiet and peaceful place

Great stay. The location was great. Near Copper Harbor and Eagle Harbor. Got to have a lovely fire outside. Simple and private.

Quiet cabin

Nice quaint/clean cabin for a peaceful retreat. Went to Stannard Lighthouse to check it off the bucket list. You won't go wrong here.

Perfect honeymoon getaway

We booked the bungalow not knowing anything about the area and immediately felt like home when we arrived. Yes, you have to bring your own drinking water but i think you should do that with anywhere you travel

Cozy, clean and quiet

Perfectly quiet private cabin. Very well cared for inside. No direct access to beach, but gorgeous Bete Gris beach is a short drive away. We had a great, relaxing time. Thank you!!

Clean nice little cabin overall. Does not have drinkable water so had to bring in water. Overall nice little cabin in the woods.

The Bungalow Experience

Absolutely fantastic! The cabin is squeaky clean, cozy, cute, loaded with everything you need, and was totally what we needed to decompress adter a long summer ! Though we are Yoopers, the Keewanaw is always a special place to be. The Bungalow will be our go-to place to unwind from tourist months, for sure!!!!

Beautiful Area

My boyfriend and I took our Moms to see the colors. The area is absolutely beautiful! It is peaceful and relaxing. The cabin is SUPER clean. We had all the necessities we needed plus some. The owner is very friendly and has great communication. We definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

perfect jump-off spot

love this little cabin! Thank you Captain Brian, for letting us stay at the bungalow. Great price, cool little place sitting at the beginning of the (fun to drive) Tunnel of Trees. Easy to get everywhere in the Keweenaw. Quiet location, very cozy. No cell reception? no tv? NO PROBLEM! Thanks again!

A cute little va I’m in the woods. Very clean. However the water supply was rained with a brown color. Thankfully we had bottled water for coffee and to drink. I do not see how you pass the health dept if there is one in the IP. We opted for no showers and only used bottled water. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Up North retreat

The cabin was very clean, and the host was available when needed and easy to get ahold of. But be aware that the fridge is only a mini fridge and bunk beds are over under bunks in a very small room. The property is not landscaped very well and is littered with discarded old furniture parts. The deck faces the road which is not too far from the cabin and the family across the street had many home-schooled children that would skateboard up and down the road all day long every day. They were friendly, but always there. We still managed to enjoy our stay, love the area!

Our Bungalow yard is not landscaped since it is part of "the woods," and we have placed blocks as a barrier to keep vehicles from driving across the drainfield. I'm confused about the "broken furniture parts" that are referenced because there are none that I know of (just the short 6 x 6 timbers for the drainfield barrier.) There was, indeed, a multi-day homeschool event across the road which several families attended. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for choosing the Bungalow.

Super cute, awesome place to stay!

Overall everything was great, however there is very poor cell signal in the area in general, which made making plans difficult because as listed, there is no wifi. Brian communicated with us very well, however it was difficult to receive messages due to lack of signal in the area. So make sure to have plans in advance, and lots of bug spray. Check-in was very easy We were unable to turn on the heater during our stay and it did chilly at night, although it wasn’t terrible. Despite the challenges of navigation, communication, rain (and mosquitos of course), I had an amazing weekend and we made the best of every situation! This is in a beautiful area that is nothing like I’ve ever seen before. I am already planning my next trip to the UP for next summer and I can’t wait to explore more!

If you have access to Cricket or AT&T, cell service is good here at Lac La Belle, but other services are not well supported. As for bugs- Eraly summer can be bad, but mid to late summer- no bugs.

We like the location of the property. Being near the end of a mile long dead end road is peaceful. The cabin was mostly as advertised. Small, rustic, and realxing. I was finally able to read! Although, the full size fridge was replaced with a mini, we were able to get ice about 30 minutes away,. So, no big deal. The critters in the walls at night time were hardly noticable after the 3rd day.. My lovely wife and i are not what you would consider petite. As a result, the bed was pretty saggy in the middle. It kept us from rolling off! The area around the property was full of history. Burnt up bedsprings, old oil filters, along with scrap metal and wood greeted us at the driveway. The neighbors were friendly. They would just stand at the end of the driveway, which my dogs absolutely loved. Glimpses of the lake can be seen from the property. No Lake Access from the property. It's about a 3 mile drive to the public boat launch. This place inside was freshly rennovated, and nicely furnished. The kitchen has enough utensils to make meals with, and the charcoal grill on the front porch really helps with meal prep. Do be sure to bring plenty of drinking water, as the water on site is not for drinking, or for making coffee. All in all, what we needed was a roof over our heads, and a base camp near Copper Harbor. This property served our needs just fine. It may not be suitable for those who require the finer things in life.

Only used it as a base camp for exploring the Keweenaw area on the Harley. Was everything I had hoped for and made for a wonderful Laborless weekend! We would definitely book again.

Excellent local host, quick responses. Vintage decor and very clean inside the cottage. Easy access to Lac La Belle just down the street with a channel to Lake Superior (we’re kayakers). Loved exploring the Lake Superior coastline for miles- rugged rock outcroppings, small pebbled beaches, natural arches, and small caves. Centralized home base to explore the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula!
