The host was quick to respond to my questions and initial booking of the property. Communication was great. The property was exactly as described, well maintained, and very clean upon our arrival. Really enjoyed having bunk beds with a queen on the bottom. The kitchen was well-equipped and had just about everything we needed. The open room layout was good for cooking, watching TV, and had a table large enough to play card games. It was nice to have a second TV sitting room upstairs.Having access to a golf cart to take to the beach access simplified our stay. It was about a 5-minute golf cart ride to the beach access. The beach was great, the water was emerald green, even at low tide, which is typically unusual.Hit the Bogue Inlet pier one day to fish, 17.50 for 2 rods, and includes validating your parking pass. Nice pier, the blues were running, they were coming over the railing about every other cast.Used the kayak one day to fish in the sound. Put in at the Cedar Street Park and paddled the islands down to the marina. Ended up catching a speckled trout and a few blues. I Spooked a couple of decent-sized reds. Sound is shallow, so it was nice to have a kayak to see all the marine life.Great house, good layout, plenty of space, and well stocked.
