Kaweah River Haus was the perfect home away from home for our Sequoia vacation! The house was in the perfect location to everything in the area- Sequoia, restaurants, the river, Lake Kaweah, etc. The home was well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of blankets and the kitchen had all the necessities for making dinners. We loved getting up early to have our coffee on the deck and listening to the river before our hiking/lake/river adventure for the day. We would come back to the house in the afternoon which was super comfortable. The weather was 100 degrees, and the AC was very refreshing and kept the house cool without a problem. The TV had all of the streaming apps needed to find a movie or show. The speaker for music was wonderful in the mornings or evenings. The restaurants in the area are lacking so we found ourselves using the BBQ instead of venturing into town (the market in town has some great steaks for sale.) Great swim spot a little further down the road. The kids loved it!A couple of comments to previous reviewers: - The couch IS a queen size bed. There is a portion of the bed you need to pull out and up in order to make it queen sized. - I don't know who said the AC did not keep up but that is completely false. It was HOT out and the AC did wonderful.My only criticisms are the lack of dishwasher and some random cobwebs around the house. Otherwise, this was the PERFECT home near Sequoia.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful close to the river cottage. Check in was easy and straightforward. Parking was also easy with a large SUV. The listing did mention “3 bedrooms”, this is a bit misleading as one “bedroom” is the living room with a futon. The futon had lots of crumbs in it and was short so even my 5’3 sister slept on a diagonal to avoid her feet handing off the end. It was overall comfortable and sheets were clean. Beds in rooms were super comfy and clean. We did find evidence of mice in the master bedroom, we were careful to put any food secure in the fridge overnight and when out.We loved having the air conditioning to come home to after a day of hiking on this unusually warm winter weekend! Lots of shops near by! We loved Tony’s tavern truck as a delicious dinner option. Would stay again as location was perfect and atmosphere was beautiful and close to nature.

We loved our stay, Nancy the owner makes you feel so welcome by having the place perfect and detailed. My wife and kids loved it and looking forward to doing it again.

True Riverfront Retreat

My family and I have stayed here a few times over the last few years — every stay is amazing. If you’re looking for a quiet, private retreat where you can enjoy the view and sounds the River - this is the place.

Great Stay

Wonderful house! It was a great location for our 3 days visiting Sequoia/Kings Canyon. Drinking coffee while watching the river off the back deck was definitely a highlight of the location. Beds are very comfortable. Would stay again if ever visiting the area.
