The western shore of Mobile Bay exudes peace and serenity. Breathtaking sunrises over the water wash away stress and tension. Twenty minutes from downtown Mobile and its restaurants and breweries, this cottage is the perfect location for relaxation. With easy access to all the Alabama Gulf Coast has to offer, this is a property you will want to return to, again and again. Please note this cottage is basic but functional. Nothing "fancy" about it!

It was just right. It was away from the center of Mobile but close enough for convenience. View of the bay was very nice.

Cute cottage with a great view

Beautiful location on Mobile Bay! You can watch the sunrise.Location is convenient for downtown Mobile and day trips to Pensacola and Biloxi.The cottage is comfortable, but needs updating.

Wonderful views over Mobile Bay

The cottage is situated on Mobile Bay and has unobstructed views of the Bay, apart from the occasional car driving by. The neighborhood is quiet. Not a lot of shops nearby, many closed down. It is a short drive to both the beach (Dauphin Island) and Downtown Mobile.The cottage is very spacious and has a homely feel to it. The couch is large and comfortable. No cellular range, but the wifi is excellent. Quaint dining room with spectacular views. The kitchen has everything you need. The two bedrooms are comfortable and airconditioned.

Property is exactly as described. Nothing new or fancy, house was comfortable and clean. Very cold air conditioning and comfortable beds. Neighborhood was quiet. View of the Bay was perfect. Home is full of vintage decor items, makes it unique. The front porch is enclosed with screened windows you can open for cool night air enjoyment.

Get away in Mobile Bay!

We made the right decision booking at the Driftwood Cottage! Laurie was easy to communicate with and kind. The location doesn’t get much better than this….a quiet neighborhood with beautiful sunrises. It was easy for us to take a day trip into Mobile or Dauphlin Island. The cottage is decorated in shabby chic and comfy. Thank you for sharing your special place!

Nice stay overlooking Mobile Bay

As advertised property with everything needed for a stay on the gulf coast. Host (Laurie) was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to anything we needed. Check-in/out process was easy and painless. Would easily recommend for anyone wanting or needing a place to stay in this area.

Charming cottage by the bay

We had a relaxing time at this cottage with a great view of the bay and our 9 year old boxer mixed felt right at home. The cottage was in a great location to take day trips to Dauphin Island Al, Gulfport MS, Freehope Al, and Foley AL. The cottage was clean and quiet and we watched Netflix in the evenings to relax.

Great place to relax

We enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the birds and the water. It was so relaxing! The location is convenient enough to go into Mobile or other nearby areas easily but far enough from the hustle and bustle to be quiet. The host is great as well.

Peaceful, Accomodating, and comfortable

A feeling of warmth and comfort came upon us the moment we walked inside the cottage. Laurie made sure that we felt welcome. The cottage was older, with charm. The sunroom was where we were 90% of our time, watching shorebirds and ship traffic. We will definitely be back, God willing!

Our stay was wonderful! We enjoyed it so much! We will be back!!

The house was perfectly decorated with its surroundings. The property was well maintained. There is a bunny that lives at the property, so you can feed him. We enjoyed having our coffee in the screened in porch while watching the sea and all its beauty...If you're looking for a place to stay in the area, don't look any further> This is it!!!!!!!

Easy Breezy

Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The sunroom looked out onto the Mobile Bay and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. My only complaint is that there were no outside lights so, it was dark getting back at night. The host was very friendly and communicative. Overall a great experience!

Location, Location, Location

The view of the bay was amazing and it was centrally located to all the places we wanted to go. There was a park and a pier within walking distance which was really nice! The house itself had a few things in it that need repaired or replaced. There are not many dishes there so it would have been nice to also have something to wash them with besides just the dishwasher. Laurie was great and her checking in and out process was very smooth! She also left a nice and informative letter for us.
