Accompanied by a large laundry room, an open kitchen/dining area with a stove oven combo, microwave and fridge, as well as a sitting room with a large TV, this space is perfect for families looking for a relaxing place to stay during your vacation.

Located in a quiet neighborhood along with a sizable nearly enclosed backyard with 3 patio tables including a table with umbrella and a flat top grill for cookouts. This is a a wonderful area for outdoor games and family gatherings.

Excellent place to stay

The owner of the property was very welcoming to us, and was very kind. The home was very clean and had plenty of room. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the Rapid City area. I have been to South Dakota several times and this was by far the best place I’ve ever stayed.

Pleasanly Surprised

Wonderful stay! Home was very comfortable with a lot of space. Home owner very considerate and supplied a lot of basic needs. We enjoyed our stay and would rent again when in the area.

Jim was awesome. Very accommodating and generous. The suite is exactly as described. Clean, lots of towels and dishes, etc. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect Home Base for Our Black Hills Vacation

Our family of seven had a wonderful stay here. The property owner, Jim, communicated well with us and was very welcoming. Our kids looked forward to getting back in the evening to board games, TV, and lots of room. Location is great for exploring the area and the price was right. We’d stay again.

Fantastic home away from home.

Fantastic low-key place to stay. Beds were (probably still are) supportive. Drawers in separate bedrooms and amenities replete with cooking gear. Loved it.

Wonderful place, convenient to everything

Jims place has been finished extremely well. Very spacious and comfortable. Beds are somewhat firm. Jim was very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Personal Favorite when traveling with Dogs

Absolutely great, home like rental. Separate entrant, off street parking, fenced spacious back yard! DO NOT let it being a base level rental stop you from taking advantage of this space. 12/10 will return without hesitation!

We meet Jim a couple of times during our stay. He was super friendly and welcoming towards us. Him and his dog live above the vrbo. The place is close to a gas station, Walmart and some parks for kids as well. The backyard is very well kept and has lots of seating options. The vrbo can't be locked from the guest side to his house, which wasn't a big deal for us. We stayed for 4 night and on two night we had the AC blow, what smelled like Marijuana, into the apartment which we found frustrating since we had two little ones with us. The house also is on the louder side and we would be woken up in the morning by noises from the upper level.There was no shower soap provided besides a used soap bar, so make sure to bring your own. The kitchen also has very little equipment. There's two pans and a couple of pots, no baking sheets. So if you're planning on cooking make sure to bring stuff. There is an entire closet with clean towels.

Our 4th of July Vacation was a “Blast”

This was a fantastic rental of our family of 8 😳 we had more than enough room for everyone to have a place to sleep and the location was close to all of the family friendly places we wanted to visit! The hosts are incredibly generous and even though they are right above you, you wouldn’t be able to tell because they are so quiet! We really enjoyed our visit and highly recommended this rental even if you’re not a large family!

Nice apartment for a vacation base.

Clean, well set up and convenient for daytrips around the Rapid City Area. We spent 4 fun filled days visiting the Bad Lands, Mt Rushmore, crazyhorse and the Decils Tower as well as several area hiking trails and caves. It was nice to have a spacious place we could fo back to and unwind, rest and even cook when we were ready. Jim was friendly and wanted us to enjoy our stay.

Great Space

Not going to lie but I was a little apprehensive about staying in someone’s basement but Jim was a great host. Kitchen is missing several essential items but we were the first guest. The host was willing to get whatever we needed. Would definitely stay there again.

This basement apartment was perfect for our family of 6 and our dog on our vacation in the hills. Its a nice quiet neighborhood, we had our own parking spots for 2 vehicles, full kitchen, dining room and living room. It was plenty of space. Thank you Jim! We hope to return next year.

Great Property

Great stay...a hidden gem. I was nervous staying in someone's basement, but it wasn't an issue AT ALL! Separate entrance. Complete privacy. Property is spacious, CLEAN, and well equipped. Jim, the owner was Great. I mixed up my dates and he was awesome about it. Highly recommend and will stay again!!!
