Come rest on your private deck or sit out at the gas fire pit enjoying life in the forest with spectacular views over Rapid City.
We are centrally located in the Beautiful Black Hills just outside of Rapid City. We have Deer, Turkey, free ranging Peacocks, Coyotes and keep your eyes open and you may see a Mountain Lion.
We are lowering our prices to $150 per night for two adults.

Wonderful location

Property was picturesque, clean, nicely furnished and included some very thoughtful amenities. Owners were very friendly and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

Enjoyable stay at Dan and Sherry's Place

The unit was well furnished and supplied for all of our needs. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was even quality coffee available! Sherry responded to all of our questions. We had a slow leak in one of our tires. Dan helped us inflate the tire and recommended a tire shop to take it to. We highly recommend this unit!

Great Country Stay

This place was great. Got to see deer early in the mornings and the sunrise was gorgeous. If ever in the area, we will book again

Beautiful Place

It was very clean and spacious. Felt like we were at home. The muffins Sherry made for us to enjoy were delicious. Saw turkeys, peacocks Deer. Would stay here again if we are in the area

Great place to stay at location is good to everything.

Stayed at Don and Sherry’s placed very beautiful area. Neighbors are good. Lots of wildlife to see very peaceful. Great place to stay with kids. They have a pool table will be back again.

Wonderful

We had the best time in this quiet cozy home. Everything was super clean and so many ammenities made this vacation really easy. The hosts are lovely people who have put a lot of thought and effort into this rental. We really enjoyed our stay!

Simply amazing!!

If I could give 10+ plus stars I would! Cute, clean and cozy! Sherri and Dan are lovely and generous ppl! We loved the peacocks, turkey and deer visits each morning. Great location away from city. Our hosts even made us breakfast to celebrate our 21st anniversary!

Truly our home away from home

Dan & Sherry provide a wonderfully comfortable place in the beautiful hills- everything we needed to recharge after busy vacation days or just have a lazy time relaxing with families. Fun to watch the wildlife and watch the mist roll in and then out again. We had everything we needed, but Dan and Sherry helped right away if we had any requests. We'd love to stay there again when we come back to this area!

A True Black Hills Experience

A very clean and well appointed option in the Black Hills. Great view from the back deck and the patio heater came in handy in the evening. Nice to be out in the hills where our dogs could run around and burn off some energy in the mornings and evenings. Easy check in and check out and the hosts were great to work with.

Very nice split level house

This was a very nice split level house nestled among the foot hills of Rapid City SD. Nice view of the surrounding area and secluded from the hustle of the city. Centrally located to just about everything that the Black Hills has to offer. Even though we didn't really get time to socialize much with the owners due to our hectic schedule we had planned, the time we did meet they were very gracious and welcoming. Lots of local wildlife can be seen every evening right outside the back door. Will definitely consider staying here again when we are in the area.

Home Away from Home

We had a wonderful stay! Sherry and Dan were incredible. The day we arrived, Sherry greeted us with a pie. They checked to see if we needed to laundry during our stay and were very friendly! The place was clean and comforable and a wonderful respite after sight-seeing each day. There was wild life to see right out the back porch and a beautiful patio to enjoy the view. Definitely a 5 star stay!! Thank you Dan and Sherry!

Absolutely Amazing!

Dan and Sherry were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed talking with them. The home was wonderful and very clean/comfortable. My husband and I stayed for 6 days with our 2 children and our dog and we can't wait to come back.

Perfection

This place is amazing. Out of town away from the crowds and noise but close enough to the attractions. The cabin is loaded with all the luxuries and was super clean. Comfy bed and a living room that was made for relaxing. We were greeted by some of the wildlife our first night, peacocks, deer, turkeys and even Lou the neighborhood cat. The deck was a nice place to sit and take in the view and see so many stars at night. Was a great week in our home in the hills. If we ever make it back to that area I will book this place. Amazing, amazing, amazing!

Relaxing Respite

This private apt was fantastic and a welcome relief during our very busy vacation. Owners were very friendly. Their apt was emmaculent and very roomy. Nice furnishings. Much better than pics show. In neat, out of city, quiet neighborhood. Comfy beds. Easy drive to most attractions. Many little extras and the cheesecake made for a wonderful stay. Some cute wild turkeys strutted down the street and deer through the yard. Allowing our little dog to stay was also appreciated. I could've lived there. Dan and Sherry do VRBO right. We will try to go back!

Perfect Black Hills Getaway

The property is perfectly located between all the awesome natural attractions the area has to offer and it's close to town also. Awesome views and wildlife in the yard daily. Apartment was super clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating, their dogs are sweet, and the homemade cheesecake & blueberries were a treat! We're already planning a return trip....thanks Sherry & Dan!

Wonderful and perfect quiet location

Very easy to communicate! Worked amazing with our car situation when we had a late arrival and had everything situated for our family to just come and sleep that night. The location is the best for hitting any major Black Hills hike, sightsee, etc. Thanks again!

We moved here from NW Iowa in 2002. We are empty nesters with a home we love to entertain in. We like to Hike, ride 4 wheelers, ride our HD motorcycle, and just take in the hills attractions. We love to Geo Cache because you never know where that will take you but one thing about it there is usually a breath taking view involved.

We love this 2 acre property and want to share our home and let you experience what the Black Hills has to offer. We have forest service access right around the corner with a spectacular view and quiet setting with lots of wildlife to observe. On 4th of July there are plenty of fireworks to watch right here.

When the heat of the summer peaks you can plan on at least 10 degrees cooler up here compared to town and in the winter we have inversions that often we are 10 degrees warmer than town. Enough trees cover to lessen the winds that you will experience in other areas.
