Welcome to Hale Lio Kai! Home of the Seahorse, translated in Hawaiian. Absolutely incredible home built in 2015, this is an incredible option for your Vacation.
Enjoy incredible amenities such as a beautiful 5 foot deep salt water pool & hot tub!

Hale Lio Kai is located at a comfortable elevation with amazing cross breezes. You'll notice this home is only a 10-15 minute drive from the best beaches on the Island, & incredibly close to Kona Airport as well.

There is a generous amount of living space, a desirable floor plan, and two cozy lanais with 180-degree ocean & sunset views.

Enjoy 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms at this spectacular property. The House can comfortably sleep 7 people, maximum.

The Bed Configuration is as follows:
The Master Bedroom has a King Sized Bed
The 2nd Bedroom has a Queen Sized Bed
The 3rd Bedroom has a Bunk Bed, where a Twin Sized Mattress is on top, and a Full Sized Mattress is on the bottom.

Great place to stay at Kona. The house had everything we needed it. The weather was a little unstable when we were in the island so having the pool and the hot tub made a huge difference for us.

Property was ideal for our needs ,overall we stayed to celebrate our 34 th anniversary and competed in a first responders fishing tournament that weekend. I'll say the the home was very clean with alot of negatives aswell like broken stove knob,railings was coming out of the wall,foosball coffee table handle broken, pool equipment and pool table chairs was not staged ready and broken .Umbrellas was broken and it's stands,which left us no shade ....No trash can ,left at the corner of the street,Gecko poop on its railings....Although with all that said l though that the home was very comfortable and mauka breezes was incredible.

Kona Vacation

This property is in a great location to Kona and if you're planning to visit other locations on the island like Hilo or the Kona Coffee Plantation. Great view of the ocean, very peaceful and relaxing area.

Our family had an extraordinary stay at this beautiful home on the Big Island! From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable and welcomed. The house is thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated, and had more than enough space for our entire family to relax.One of our favorite touches was all of the beach amenities that were provided. Having beach towels, boogie boards, and other beach gear available made our days at the beach so easy and enjoyable. The location is also fantastic—it's conveniently close to the airport and just a short drive to several amazing beaches.The pool, hot tub, and oversized hammock were truly the cherry on top of an already incredible stay. After long days of exploring, it was so nice to come back, relax, and unwind, and my oldest son especially loved spending time in the hammock.The only suggestion I would offer is that adding window treatments in the kitchen would be helpful. During sunset, the afternoon sun shines directly into the kitchen, making it quite warm while preparing dinner. Shades or blinds would make an already wonderful space even more comfortable.Overall, this home exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely stay here again. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-equipped, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay on the Big Island. Mahalo for helping our family create such wonderful memories—we can't wait to return!

Beautiful home

The home was beautiful and clean. Great location, and kids loved the pool. Only complaint was no AC, there’s generally a nice breeze but it was a little hot for sleeping, and the roosters and dogs woke us up early every day because we had the windows open.

Family Vacation to the Big Island

We stayed near Hilo for 4 days and Kona for 6 days. This was amazing place to stay, excellent amenities and location. We enjoyed snorkeling with manta rays, the submarine tour of the ocean bottom and deep sea fishing on Sea Baby III. Thoroughly enjoyed the awesome kitchen it made us feel at home for meals.

Heaven On Earth Week

This property is breathtakingly gorgeous. Our family enjoyed the beautiful ocean views, preparing Thanksgiving dinner, and baking Christmas cookies in the well stocked kit hen with a gogantuc island.

Wonderful fun filled days by the pool!

After 7 full days of driving the Big Island seeing all the sights, swimming with Mantas and eating Malasadas from Tex’s, we enjoyed 4 wonderful days laying by the pool at HALE LIO KAI. The hot tub was divine. Beds were comfortable, sunsets so beautiful! Highly recommended.

An incredible home with beautiful views

We were very impressed with this incredible home. It had everything our family of three needed, from a very well appointed kitchen to space to spread out to a great pool and hot tub.The neighborhood was quiet and we felt secluded on a mountainside with a view of the ocean. We watched the sunrise enjoying the sounds of nature and watched the sunset from the hot tub. The home is close to several grocery stores and downtown Kona, and it was easy to zip to other places on the island to explore.The home is well decorated, comfortable and clean.Thank you for an incredible place to call home during our trip!

Reviewer Comments: I absolutely loved this property we make a sacrifice with no air conditioning but was not happy we had no hot water the entire time we were there. They fixed the hot tub quickly. We left three large fans we purchased from Walmart at the location.

So sorry about the hot water! It’s a solar water heater, And we had no idea how you didn’t have a hot water the entire time you were there. We’ve been happy to open up the garage to turn the lever manually to engage hot water since it was raining.

Delightful Rental

It’s nicely updated, has pretty ocean views, and is located in a quiet residential neighborhood within easy driving distance to beaches and town. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Kona Hillside

This location is convenient especially to the airport. The sunset view is definitely the best feature of this . The layout of the house is a bit awkward as the only way to access the pool or hot tub is through the downstairs bathrooms. The saltwater pool is refreshing. The beach gear is ok, good umbrella and chairs, the boogie boards worn out. Lots of dishes, pots and pans, many spices, no coffee or laundry soap, limited paper products. The upstairs lanai with the custom table definitely the place to hang out.

Had all kinds of pool activities for the kids, the pool was not warm & did not use the pool much , kids might of used 3 times & less than 30 mins each use, was too cold to go in even in the month of July. Overall the house was great. The property management was in contact with myself pretty often.
