LAKE COTTAGE WITH DECK - 5 Star - go to USC football games- Perfect for Clemson

Due to the setting it's best:
-for only 1 or 2 people-sorry NOT for visitors, unless discussed -looking for lake
-corporate stay in the area .
-There is NO PLACE to DOCK a BOAT or PARK A TRAILER.
- If you are renting a boat for a day, then check with the owners about a temporary dock
.-snowbirds in transit or scoping the area

This is a perfect place for a quiet get-a-away for 2 or wonderful alternative to a required hotel stay. The cottage was built totally by hand, by the owner, with trees cut from the property. It is designed for adults and there is nowhere for kids to play.
-No fire pit or place to burn

TWO KAYAKS are available to enjoy our large cove or to explore Shull Island. PADDLE BOAT for use also

Accommodations: Den and kitchen with island on one floor. Downstairs 600 sq. ft. with a queen bed and sitting area. Sleeps 2- one queen bed downstairs.

Three large windows overlooking the lake. We have all new appliances, including granite counter tops and 2 HD TVs with Dish Satellite.

There is a deck off the lower level for enjoying the lake view and for kayak or swimming access.

Off Season, 2 nights available if less than 2 weeks from arrival.

If you stay a week and could leave the lake, it's two hours from Charleston, SC. Downtown Columbia is 35/40 minutes away and the zoo (30 minutes) State Museum and children's museum are well worth the visit. Restaurants and many shopping choices are in Lexington which is an 18 minute drive. Many restaurants and grocery stores are an easy 10/15 minute drive from the guest house. Most renters prefer to shop prior to arrival.

There is a deck off the lower level for enjoying the lake view and for kayak or swimming access.

Relaxing stay on Lake Murray

We loved our visit here. Ellen and Andy are wonderful hosts. The property is beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed kayaking on Lake Murray and exploring the area. We highly recommend!

Calm, beautiful, little cove of water, respite

One of the most spacious, relaxing waterside places, nicely appointed, landscaping is large, lush, and impressive!

Peaceful Getaway

Great nature spot!

This beautiful home on the lake was a great place to relax and enjoy nature. We loved having coffee on the deck in the morning. Kayaking was a great way to relax on the water and get exercise too! The hosts were wonderful…friendly and helpful too.

Peaceful Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was just what we needed--serene, beautiful, clean and comfortable. The gentle, cool breeze combined with the awesome view off the deck made our morning coffee each day a very special time. The cottage was an inviting retreat after boating out on the lake all day, we absolutely loved it. After coming to Lake Murray for the past nine years, this was definitely the nicest place we've stayed.

Perfect hideaway

My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway and that is exactly what we got. Beautiful view great friendly hosts. It was just what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle in our busy lives. We have already planned our next visit. Thanks Ellen and Andy for sharing this gem with us.

Awesome!

I have been renting properties at Lake Murray for 10 years and this is the first property where I have done a repeat rental. The cottage is very nice, the property is beautiful, and the owners are great. It's a awesome place to stay for a quiet, relaxing time on the lake, and you will not find nicer people than Andy and Ellen Faris.

Clean, comfortable, relaing

WA large, two person cottage with a calming natural view of the lake, framed by trees. Large TV so that it can easily be watched Two kayaks to go kayaking in Lake Murray, which is absolutely wonderful. Many places to take an evening stroll. Only 20 minutes drive to Lexington for good restaurants. This is a great place to come to just relax and do nothing but read books and watch the lake

Beautiful location and great hosts!

We came to Lexington for a needed break from our busy lives in south Florida. This property is located on a beautiful spot on the lake. The main views from the living area look over the lake. It was just what we needed. Communication with Ellen was great. She and Andy made sure we were all set. We had a great time exploring the area and just getting away from it all. Highly recommend this rental for couples!

Peaceful natural setting and comfortable indoors

The cottage had everything we needed. The cottage and area are beautiful, safe and well-kept. We kayaked, walked, ran, and fished, saw turtles, an armadillo, deer, lizards bunnies, squirrels birds and had morning and evening visits from a hummingbird. The decor of world travel photos will have you planning your next vacation. My husband is already considering his next trip to this lake cottage. Host responded quickly to my questions. The cottage is tucked in a cove and very private.

a little piece of Paradise

This home was just beautiful right on Lake Murray. The location was great, and the water was even better!!! The hosts (Ellen & Andy) could not have been more welcoming. Made us very comfortable and the house had everything and more than we had hoped for. They did not miss a thing as far as keeping the house stocked. We will definitely go back to this Lake house. Lake Murray is absolutely beautiful. Thank you Ellen & Andy

LOVELY!

We reserved this property to watch our son and his college baseball team play games at the Blowfish Stadium. The house and property are just beautiful and we enjoyed every moment we spent there. Wish the weather was a little warmer so we could have enjoyed the property outside more but wasn't meant to be! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property and the owners. They were absolutely lovely and gave so many great suggestions! Thank you!! <3 <3 <3

Beautiful Cottage and Location

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The cottage is tucked away in the trees and beautiful gardens with a great view of the cove. It is close enough to towns with a variety of top restaurants, shops & entertainment. The cottage was furnished with everything you would need. There are two kayaks that you can use. It was nice to be able to go for an early morning or late afternoon ride to enjoy the lake. We were able to sit on the deck and do some reading, playing some cards and enjoying a drink, all while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Andy and Ellen could not have been more helpful or generous with their time to ensure we had all the info we needed about the lake and the area. We would definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Kitchen was well equipped and spotless. Hosts are lovely: friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The cottage itself is so pleasant and peaceful. I could have sat all day outside on the lakefront patio. The cottage itself is a home away from home full of comforts and beautifully decorated. I especially love the pictures of our hosts extensive travels.

My husband, Andy, is a retired airline pilot who flew for Pan Am and then Delta Airlines. He commuted to NY in order to live on the lake. He is now a golfer and can gladly help you with any area golf questions. I am a former French teacher and will gladly help you with lake questions or anything else.

My husband cut 100 trees from our property in 1993 and started a 'project' with the lumber he had from the trees. He had planned for it to be a place for projects. Hence-part of the reason for the bathroom upstairs. He would work a while and then quit for a year or so. We finally decided to finish it as a guest house in order to use it for our own personal guests. We had another vrbo on Lake Murray and enjoyed sharing it That helped us decide to use the guest house as a vrbo also.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Use the private dock for grilling or just relaxing by the lake. It is mostly shady, so sorry, fellow sun worshipers! Some just enjoy the beautiful view from inside the cottage. It is a large space for 2 people-Quiet and cozy. Perfect for relaxation! The kayaks are such fun.
