Wonderful outdoor space. Bright interior. Well stocked kitchen. Challenging walk to the beach for older people. But it was a beautiful view from the house!

Our stay was incredibly wonderful!!! The house was gorgeous , comfortable and well-equipped! We loved the view and the area!! The host was responsive and helpful. It was a memorable family vacation and we came back rested, as beds were all comfortable and it was a peaceful environment!

One of the most BEAUTIFUL locations I’ve been to. Even though there is MANY fantastic places to visit up there near Frankfort, we stayed at the house to watch the sunset every night.

We loved the view and the cozy comfort of the cottage. We were aware of the stairs at the neighboring property to get to the beach below and felt it was well worth the effort. We walked down to Point Betsie lighthouse and to the Crystal View just like old times. Short drives to a birthday party, Dairy Maid, Cold Creek Inn, The Manitou, bike rides, pickleball, and a hike at Indian trail round out our activities. We cooked meals and chilled on the deck, my son spent a lot of time in the hammock, overall we had a lovely week in northern MI visiting friends and family. The cottage was a perfect retreat.

We love the property and have stayed many times. Check your weather before your trip and pack accordingly, it can get extra warm from the sun or extra cool from the winds. My family has property on Crystal and it’s nice to be close to them with a much better view!! Truly a one of a kind view west off the bluff over the lake.

Beautiful Location

Well appointed and provisioned house, short (steep) walk down to the beach below, nice long stretch of walkable pebbly beach. Plenty of space for 3 couples, a toddler and dogs. Loved the view from the den and the deck, nice sunsets.

Lovely place, beautiful view

We loved staying here! The place had an amazing view and we loved the easy access to the beach. It was a really lovely house to spend time with family. Actually arriving to the house was a bit confusing and could have been better explained since service was not great in the area but eventually we figured out the right way to get there.

Wonderful escape

Beautiful setting and quiet space with excellent private beach access, amazing sunsets, great proximity to the dunes, water activities, and tourist options. Workrd well for young and old. Had an amazing time celebrating a family milestone.

Maple Arch - AMAZING

There are not enough words for how amazing the view is. We did our annual family vacation here & it did not disappoint in the least. The house was full of extra things for the kids to do (we had 3 under 6), very clean, plenty of additional amenities. The overlook of the bluff is amazing for your morning coffee & throughout the day! Everyone that was involved in renting was great & had quick responses. We will most definitely be returning to stay again!

Stairway to Heaven

Beautiful property, well-appointed home - everything you can possibly need for a super comfortable stay. The views are breathtaking at this well-taken-care of home. A huge shout out to the owners for taking such wonderful care of their home and sharing it with vacationers like us; and to Agape Vacation Rentals for their availability if one had questions and to their cleaners for such a clean home! We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing Summer Vacation for us & our dog!

We stayed here for 3 nights in late July and it was amazing. We will certainly be back again. We loved how cozy the house was and feeling like we were truly staying at a family's lake house, instead of a cookie-cutter rental house. The house was stocked with everything we needed to cook in every night to enjoy the stunning views from the porch. It was also very carefully thought out to accommodate our Labrador retriever; the outdoor hose to clean her off, the vacuum for in the house, and porch with the gates were super convenient. The beach access was great and the sunsets were beautiful. Never got tired of sitting on the porch in the evening.

Amazing home & amazing views!

House was perfect! We had six adults, two children & a small pug. Spacious, relaxing & watched the sunset every night. Being on the balcony enjoying the breeze, hearing the waves crashing & inhaling the fresh air was heaven! Getting to the home was from the driveway was definitely up hill but you could take the stairs straight up to the balcony or take the driveway for a more smooth up hill walk. Either way, when you walked up to the home, enjoyed everything inside & seen the views... it was all worth it! Thank you & we will be back!!

This is a spectacular property with incredible views of Lake Michigan, particularly for sunsets. The house is well-maintained, and well stocked with puzzles and board games. It has a Keurig coffee machine, as well as a regular drip coffee machine, washer and dryer, dish washer, TV and very comfortable beds. Be aware that because of erosion, there is no access to the beach right next to the house. There is also only one designated parking spot. If you have two cars, you will need to park one car at the bottom of the driveway. Not a big issue. If you have a third car, then you will need to find parking somewhere further away.There’s easy access to the town of Frankfort, and easy access to Crystal Lake. There’s easy access to tennis and Pickleball.Overall, an excellent property.

The Home:Gorgeous, clean, and spacious for our group of 3 adults, 1 toddler, and a large dog. The road leading to the home stops about two stories below the home (the dunes beneath the home washed out part of the road making it impassible by car). But you can walk up the stairs or walk the road without issue. My elderly mom (75) made it fine but was winded each time. The views from the home were amazing and it has tons of natural light. It was a perfect place to unwind at night after full days of exploring Frankfort and the beaches.The Experience:Gorgeous sunsets, a little bug spray and the wrap-around porch was awesome for evening meals or just relaxing in the adirondack chairs. Within 10min from downtown Frankfort and 5min from the lighthouse which made it perfect for getting an overtired toddler to and from adventures. Suggestions (not complaints these are just to help anyone thinking about booking):1. The walk to the beach by the house was a little strenuous (on the way back) the only way down was on the neighbor's stairs which were less stable than I would have liked for a toddler and there are too many stairs to take any wheeled devices (cooler, wagon, bike, etc.). 2. Blackout curtains to darken bedrooms for overtired toddlers/kids would have helped for bedtimes.3. Not wheelchair accessible for those that might need that sort of thing.

A slice of heaven on earth

The listing was very accurate. The photos did not disappoint. Spectacular panoramic views of Lake Michigan perched high above the lake. Beautiful wrap around porch and extra two seat sitting area for sunsets made for great venues for meals and morning coffee. Kitchen was perfectly outfitted. Bathrooms were clean and reasonably updated. Garage had bikes and beach chairs and beach umbrella. The lack of AC was compensated by fans in the bedrooms and screens in the window. Only suggestions: kitchen needs a complete knife set which I believe is being addressed and listing should emphasize that the steepness of steps would be difficult to navigate by the elderly or infirmed. Luckily our group had no problem. There are games and puzzles and streaming TV. Large dining room table. A hammock. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our brief stay. And Jean was very available by phone or text and a joy to work with.
