Newly renovated 100+ year old home, centrally located near downtown Sturgeon Bay and just steps away from Otumba Park with beautiful sand beach. Water view from the entire back side of the home. Large 3 sided wrap around porch/deck offering plenty of seating and privacy. Completely furnished with all the amenities of a residence. New landscaping finished with paved fire pit and seating wall with amazing sunset views.

Roomy home with 4 bedrooms (2 kings, 2 queens), 2.5 baths, full laundry, stocked kitchen and large living space for up to 8 people.

The nicest hosts I have ever encountered. The location of the property is great for all ages with many activities and shops in walking distance. Property itself is gorgeous and well appointed.

Great family room and kitchen, and the porches give you beautiful views of the bay. We will be coming back!

The house itself is amazing, in both size and quality. The best feature of this house, however, is the location. You can walk only a few blocks for coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. Not like being farther north in Door County where you have to hop in your car to do anything. We loved the yard with unobstructed views of Sturgeon Bay and plenty of shade from large mature trees. This location is scenic and quiet and the house quality is top notch. We will definitely return to the Sapphire Star.

This is an AMAZING property, and even better hosts! The home is absolutely beautiful, felt warm and inviting, had all that we needed, and was incredibly clean. Tim and Julie were so attentive, organized, and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful house in a perfect location

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home!! This house had the perfect amount of indoor and outdoor space. Couldn’t ask for a better place to celebrate our father’s 89th birthday.

Fantastic location. Walk to small beach and playground in under 5 minutes. House had complete renovation with covered porch surrounding home. Nice touch.

This property is absolutely stunning! It is furnished and equipped with anything you could possibly need. The beds and bedding are so comfortable and neighborhood very peaceful and quiet. Great location with bay views next to a park and nice beach. Easy drive to all Door County highlights! Owners are so hospitable with great communication. Definitely will be back!

This home is incredible!! Beautiful, well-appointed and in a serene setting. I am a Manasquan, NJ person--it's my happy place--and this rivals my happy place, which I thought was impossible! My family was comfortable and felt safe. We cooked a beautiful meal together and ate on the lovely outdoor dining set. We even made up a scavenger hunt and left it at the house for others!!

Beautiful home in Sturgeon Bay

We loved the location next to the Bridgeport resort where other friends could stay as we gathered to celebrate birthdays and past lives in Wisconsin and the UP. The house was beautiful and immaculate as shown in the listing. The kitchen was well equipped for group meals. Door County was a great location for hiking, boating, and local theater.

We had a fantastic time at Sapphire Star. What a beautiful home — as some other reviewers have written, the home is actually even better in person. Spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The outside space is equally nice, with a wonderful fire pit, deck, plenty of seating, etc. You have a nice view of the water and you’re on a quiet dead-end street. Walking distance to cute coffee shops and restaurants, and a slightly longer walk (but very manageable) across the bridge to downtown Sturgeon Bay with plenty of restaurants and shops. The house was super-well stocked with kitchen equipment, and really any else you could think of for your stay. The hosts were easy to communicate with. If you’re thinking of a stay in Door County, I highly recommend this property as your home base. We definitely hope to book it again!

Fabulous stay!

The first thing I want to say is that the pictures do not do this property justice. It is more beautiful in person than it is online. The house is gorgeous and the views are even better. We came home one night to the most beautiful sunset and stayed out on the back patio, taking pictures and enjoying. Also, there are some house rentals where you’re absolutely sure no one has ever lived in the house because there are little things missing. Here, Tim and his wife have thought of everything. We were truly comfortable in this house and had a wonderful time. Thanks so much and we hope to be back!

Perfect house for a visit to Door County

My 3 sisters and I had a fantastic time visiting Door County with Sapphire Star as our base. It is spotless, beautifully decorated, brightly updated, and has every amenity you could desire. With enough room for us each to have our own bedroom and plenty of seating and table/counter space for rousing games of Farkle, we took advantage of the guest gifts of wine and wine cups, coffee and coffee mugs. Bonus: Tim & Julia invited us to visit the beautiful nearby home on Juniper they had just renovated and it is stunning too with a sunny yellow theme. They are super friendly and very open to address any wishes you have. I only wish the weather had been a bit more accommodating to allow us to enjoy the wrap-around porch and fire pit. Upside: the indoor temps were perfect. And this place is in walking distance of Sonny's, close to Waterfront Mary's and Potawatomi Park, and many other Sturgeon Bay attractions. Highly recommend!!

A dream house!

Absolutely wonderful home. Beautifully furnished with lots of appealing touches. Great location, convenient to restaurants, shops, a beach and children’s playground. I was impressed by how thoughtful the hosts were by providing so many little necessities that made the stay so pleasant. The well stocked kitchen and bathrooms were a pleasure to be in. I loved their thoughtfulness in furnishing items that we didn’t need to buy in order to use once or twice. Cooking oil, paper plates & plastic cutlery, hand & dishwashing soap, salt & pepper, trash bags, ziplock bags in a huge variety of sizes, aluminum foil and Saran Wrap, and even a good assortment of tools and extension cords are just some of the items we discovered. The kitchen was open to the large living room which was great for conversation. The wrap-around porch was to die for and it was where we spent a large portion of our time. The fire pit and outdoor covered lounge area were also favorites and offered a gorgeous view of the bay. It also had a large yard to let the little one run around in and for the adults to enjoy some games. This was an absolute dream home!

Exceded expectations

Our family just enjoyed a three night stay at this absolutely beautiful home on an amazing location right by the bay in a very quiet residential neighborhood. The views are spectacular, as the water is super close-by. The home has great spaces both indoors and outdoors, everything recently updated. Outside we enjoyed the nice fire pit patio, the wrap-around deck with tables, chairs, and plenty of parking. A short walk away is an excellent park for our grandbaby, plus a little sandy beach. Also outside there is a grill and a nice gazebo sitting anrea with views of the bay. The inside is open, clean and great for being together. Everything we needed for cooking (except the food ingredients) was there for us, so a very well-stocked kitchen , plus a dishwasher. The kitchen is open to the nice large family room with a big TV, fireplace and comfortable couches and chairs. The beds were so comfy, and it’s great that there are no beds smaller than queen size. The bathrooms were also very clean. Such a gorgeous, updated, comfortable home in a prime location. We couldn’t give it enough stars! PS. Also we had easy, nice and timely communications with the owners. Top rate!!

The space matched the online listing photos completely with no unwelcome surprises, and every room was impeccably tidy and fresh. The property provided a wonderfully comfortable, quiet, and relaxing environment for our stay. Highly recommended to future travelers, and would gladly book this place again without hesitation.
