Great Location!

Very clean, well decorated casita. Within easy walking distance of the plaza. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you'd need. Only problem was the thermostat - either too cold downstairs or too warm upstairs. Host was most attentive to help!

Comfortable Southwest style home

Thanksgivin g in Santa Fe

This lodging was perfectly located near the Plaza and Railyard and many great restaurants. A bit longer 15 minute walk to Canyon road. This rental unit was nicely furnished and the kitchen appointed to meet our needs.Both bedrooms are upstairs, each with their en-suite bathroom. Another half bath was downstairs which was very convenient.

Delightful place to stay

This was home base for our girls trip, and it couldn’t have been better! The property was equipped with everything we needed and was super close to lots of local sites. Would definitely come back!

In a word: perfection

Okay, here are a few more words: charming, comfy, convenient, clean, close to the plaza (but not too close.) Shelly was an outstanding communicator—messages were answered within seconds. Honestly, it was hard to leave; hope to make it back someday. If you’re looking for the perfect Santa Fe getaway, then Casita Del Norte is it. Stay here!

Wonderful Santa Fe Visit with daughter

This was a beautiful home within walking distance to most attractions. We loved the decor and communication with the owner was excellent. The turntable with classic albums was an added bonus. We wished we had one extra day!

Perfect Vacation Casa

This is a perfect place to stay. First off, the host provides wonderful communication prior to your arrival about entry and an abundance of information about the area. The casa is very clean and has all the amenities that you would need. The place is located in a wonderful spot that is quiet and yet close enough to walk to the plaza to enjoy all the shopping and restaurants. This is one of the nicest places that we have stayed. Thank you, Shelly for providing such a nice place. It felt like home.

Santa Fe Supreme Stay

The place was so lovely and inviting. We were sorry we didn't have more time to just stay at the house and relax but we were short on time and wanted to see the sights of Santa Fe. The property manager quickly responded to any questions we had. The location is also close to many of the attractions of the city. I would highly recommend this rental to my friends.

Great Casita, terrific location

Shelly & Todd were excellent hosts and the casita is exactly as pictured and described with all the conveniences of home. Loved the front, back and upstairs porches. Casita was clean and plenty of light with the skylights and windows. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were well stocked with supplies. Unit is air conditioned. Location is perfect as we walked to the Plaza, Railyard, and grocery store. WiFi is adequate and having a washer dryer was useful for our three week stay. Location is quiet and there is outdoor parking in front of the Casita. While there is plenty of appliances, dishes and serving ware if you want to cook, there are so Many good restaurants Nearby that we are out a lint. Two king beds with on-suite bathrooms were wonderful and easily accommodate 4 people. One of the nicer VRBO units we have rented. Highly recommend.

Best VRBO rental ever

I am usually very skeptical when I read VRBO reviews that say “best ever”. But this property truly is the best place I have ever rented on VRBO. We are two hiking buddies, women that planned a get away to explore the trails of Santa Fe. The communication with Shelly was helpful, friendly and very timely. The property was extremely clean and offered many amenities that made us feel right at home after our long days on the trails. The home was in a great location and was well appointed with anything we needed. The decor was tasteful and very comfortable. The record player and selection of vinyl records were such a nice touch which we very much enjoyed. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms clean and well lighted. This was simply a great base for a wonderful adventure. I will certainly be back.

A lovely Santa Fe Villa

Spacious home, amazing well-stocked kitchen, 2 well-appointed master suites, 2 cozy outdoor seating areas, and a responsive host. The home is in a quiet neighborhood, centrally located with easy access to the Santa Fe square, historic sites, the city market, the Canyon Rd galleries and great restaurants. A wonderful stay!

Home away from home

This was a beautiful home and everything in it was chosen with care to make our stay comfortable. There are many extras we have not found in other rentals - art reflective of the area, unusual pieces of decor, a kitchen that is stocked with all you need including sharp knives and quality cookware. The location is excellent - just a short walk to the plaza. Shelly, the host, was responsive and checked in on us early to make sure everything was to our liking. We would certainly stay here again if we returned to Santa Fe.

Getaway weekend

Short stay for 4 days. Property was within walking distance to several restaurants and shopping. Beds were very comfortable. Clean and well maintained. Easy to access and owner had instructions that were clear and concise.

Charming home close to Santa Fe plaza

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights with his brother and wife. We really appreciated that the two bedrooms each had an en-suite bath and king sized bed. Though not a large home, we had plenty of room and privacy. The kitchen was well equipped. Santa Fe plaza was a pleasant 10 min walk away. Evenings were chilly, and we enjoyed the lovely fireplace! House was immaculate, and neighborhood was quiet.

Girls Getaway

I have been using VRBO for many years and I have to say this is one of the best! The property was exactly as described with The Plaza easily within walking distance. There is no need to rent a car if staying in the area. We used ride share services without an issue during the day; however, later in the evening it was more difficult to find a ride. My last visit during the summer, I had zero issues finding a ride share within minutes. Everything you need is deliverable to this location. The home is perfect! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and serve your meals. There is a cozy table in the kitchen gorgeous with views of the Mexico sunset. The two master suites were perfect for our girls weekend or for two couples. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and a lot of closet space. There is a balcony off one of the suites that overlooks the front. The other suite has an amazing view of the wilderness area. The kiva fireplace was such a treat in the evenings. The smell of the piñon wood was mesmerizing as we sat around with a glass of wine in the evening. We spent many evenings listening to the diverse vinyl collection on turntable. We even had a little snow. Shelly and Todd were wonderful hosts and answered every question promptly. The check-in packet was everything we needed. The local recommendations were spot-on for our time here. Not one thing was missed in this beautiful Santa Fe Casita Del Norte.

Santa Fe visit in Winter of 2023

Overall the property was very nice and matched its description online. Everything was very clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked. The property manager checked in to make sure everything was going well.

Perfect Stay in Santa Fe

We were so happy with Shelly’s casita. We stayed for five nights. It was exactly as shown in the photos and described. This is a real home which is beautifully decorated in Southwest style. There is a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer/dishwasher. We made fires in the kiva fireplace while listening to her music collection on her turntable. The casita walking distance to town and quick drives to the supermarket etc. we would definitely stay here again! Shelly is a thoughtful and responsive host.

Nice house in a good location

The house was exactly as shown and described on VRBO. After a minor glitch getting the temperature regulated, the stay went smoothly. The house is within easy walking distance to the plaza and the DeVargas center. There was plenty of room for two couples to relax in the house and retreat to nicely appointed bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen had more than enough plates, glasses, cups and flatware. It also had sharp knives, which does not always occurs with vacation rentals. We will definitely stay at this house during our next visit to Santa Fe.

Lovely and comfortable Santa Fe home

We had a lovely time at Casita del Norte for our six day family reunion. The home is very comfortable, with two good sized ensuite bedrooms, an open and attractive first floor living, dining and kitchen area, and well-stocked kitchen and cupboards. The neighborhood is very quiet at night with great star gazing, and a very short drive (or walk) into town. We'd stay again - definitely recommend!

Awesome stay in Santa Fe

Many Spanish families owned large parcels here through grants by the Spanish King.
