Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Minutes to Black Moshannon State Park & less than 30 min to PSU.
We want this to be your home away from home with all the conveniences without having to bring it all. The Whitetail Cottage is over 1,600 square feet. Perfect for family, friends, special gatherings, and many other experiences. Come hike, hunt, kayak, ATV/UTV trails, canoe, bike, boat, or relax by the fire! There are plenty of outdoor rocking chairs for all. Hiking trails, snowmobile trails, and ATV/UTV trails are located very close to this property.
10-15 minute walking distance to Black Moshannon State Park Beach and store. Less than a 30-minute drive to State College/Penn State University.
Parking is directly outside the door! Bring your ATV's or UTV's and park them here on the property.
For ATV/UTV riders: Go right and there is a rush township road a few hundred feet down the road. That will take you to SSRT.

We had a great stay at Whitetail Cottage! The cottage is spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable. Plenty of towels and bed linens are provided. The wifi is great. The livingroom has comfy furniture and a large tv with Roku. The kitchen has everything you could need. Colette was super friendly and helpful, and her two dogs visited us when we were sitting outside, but they were very well behaved and did not pounce or bark, just calmly approached for pets. Highly recommended!

The host provides unusual games that provide great fun for the guests,especially if it is a rainy weekend. The location is perfect for walks in the state park or going to the beach. The home is very accomodating for the 10 guests allowed as, the large wrap-around couch & large kitchen island is very accomodating.

Whitetail cottage is a wonderful place to stay. It is clean, the beds are comfortable, and you have all the amenities you need. Collette is a wonderful host and very helpful. Looking forward to our stay next year for another Penn State whiteout weekend.

Host was very welcoming. She made sure we had every thing needed and answered any questions very quickly. place was very clean, cozy, and well stocked. all that is needed is your food and beverages. had wifi and access to many tv choices. very close to the lake. we enjoyed some hiking and some ice fishing. Hopefully we will return.

This was definitely one of the cleanest places that I ever rented.
The host was incredibly welcoming and helped us asap with my mistake with the entry code.

Memorial Day weekend
Property was great! Everything worked out perfect for our weekend. The location is perfect for access to Black Moshannon park and all the activities. Would definitely stay here again.

3 generations stayed at the cottage for a Penn State football weekend. The cottage was clean and check in was easy. Note that the ceilings are a bit short making the top bunk in one bedroom best suited for a child. The Start Park is beautiful, but does have you on some winding roads getting too and from places like State College

Cutest Cottage Exactly as pictured
Cottage was adorable exactly as pictured. Host had great communication and the cottage had so many extra necessities it was amazing!! If ever needed to return to area would stay again!

We stayed here 3 nights for a wedding at Rolling Rails Lodge. The house is beautiful and was 20 minutes to the wedding venue. 30-35 min from State College. They had everything that we needed. The owners were very nice and very accommodating They brought us a large full length mirror and extra extension cords so we could all get ready on the wedding day. Also in\near Black Moshannon State Park I’d stay here again

Slice of Heaven
Absolutely beautiful! This place is perfect, great location, awesome host, spacious and has everything you need. Spent our evenings relaxing by the fire and watching the wildlife. Can’t wait to do it again!

Happy Valley Ironman 2023 Lodging
Great spot. Lots of deer to see in the area.
Host was extremally accommodating and went out of their way to ensure we had what we needed. Well equipped home - and even comes with smores makings :)
