Adorable cabin on the lake. Bright and airy with a retro 60s-70s feel. All the modern amenities with a relaxed cabin feel. Be surrounded by floor to ceiling natural pine and vaulted ceilings. Enjoy supper on the attached deck, coffee from huge hill top deck or spend time sunning on the deck at the lake.
Rent a pontoon for a great day on the lake from an independent owner. Enjoy the lake view from the screened porch or on one of the 3 decks!! If you don’t mind a few weeds, the water is clear and beautiful. Floating on a tube or utilizing the free paddle board is a great way to enjoy the water. Plenty of fish to be caught as well. Please be aware we are located on a hill so taking some fairly steep steps will be required to access to the lake. Swimming is at your own risk. Life jackets available at the property.
Just 10 min from the Frazee Troll and just 20 minutes from the Detroit Lakes Trolls! Only 1 hour from Itasca State Park and 30 Minutes from Maplewood State Park. Amazing fall colors to see while hiking the trails or walking through the Mississippi River Headwaters.
Quiet dirt road with very little traffic. THIS IS NOT A PARTY CABIN. We have neighbors who live at the lake year round and we respect their right to enjoy the lake without late night chaos.
Sleeps 5. Absolutely no campers and no tents.
Fully stocked with kitchen items, towels, sheets for all the standard beds, body care and cleaning products. Please note there is no dishwasher.
Fishing and swimming dock. Sunning deck at the lake. No boat included. You cannot bring your own boat. No boat lift. There is no boat landing. Therefore no boats allowed.
We do not have a fire pit or grill available, but you are welcome to bring your own grill.
Dog considered on a case by case basis. Max is two dogs. MUST get prior approval and requires a pet fee.
Each dog requires its own non refundable pet deposit. Dogs 1-30 lbs are each $50. Dogs 31-75 lbs are each $75. Dogs 76-100 lbs are $100.

We really enjoyed our stay! The space was exceptionally clean, incredibly comfortable, and had everything we needed for a peaceful visit. The whole experience was smooth and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again!"

We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Outpost. Property was clean and well cared for. We had perfect fall weather and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Frazee was nice to explore as well! We will definitely plan a stay again!

We loved the cabin. Great location and view of the water. It had comfortable seating and sleeping. Check in and out times was a negative. If you are going to have a late check in you should have a bit later checkout. Other than that everything was lovely.

I’m not entirely sure what you are referring to when you talk about the late check out. Standard check out is at 10 am. We can sometimes offer a bit later if we don’t have someone checking in the same day. Sorry we there was a hiccup there.

This lake house was so peaceful and quiet. The owner has so many unique items in the home. Every day I was discovering another picture or item I hadn’t noticed before. It has everything provided that you need for a vacation. The quiet road it is located on is perfect for walking. The location made it easy for me to go visit all the sites I had on my list!!

Girls weekend
My friend and I stayed here for a long weekend while we attended WeFest. It was such a lovely, peaceful location to relax during the day! We would definitely stay here again.

Family lake get away
We absolutely loved the Outpost!! It was a beautiful location and a great lake! It was a quick drive to anything we wanted to do, but we mostly loved being at the house and the lake!

Great place
The house felt like home for the few days we spent there. It was a great location to relax and unwind after a day of activity.

Beautiful location, charming decor, super clean
Stayed 3 nights, quiet locale, cozy bedrooms, really enjoyed the porch & 2 decks. Air conditioning worked great.

Excellent stay!
We really enjoyed our stay. The property is very clean and has really nice outdoor space. The location was perfect for us and we were able to easily access the activities we wanted to do. We would definitely return in the future!

Very nice home to stay at. Clean, and a great view of the lake. Couldn't of asked for more. Great communication with the host.

Long weekend
Great spot for a long weekend. Location was close to other lakes for boat access. Would definitely stay again.

Relaxed get away
View from deck is awesome, very retro 70’s which is cute. Area so quite so peaceful

If you’re looking for a view to relax with our 3 decks fit the bill. Enjoying a coffee from our outside bar is one of my favorite things. So glad you enjoyed your piece and quiet

Nice Home on a Lake
Great views of the lake. Enjoyed the sunrise. Very comfortable with everything we needed for our getaway. Highly recommend.

I grew up in Frazee and even after living all over the country for the last 21 years, I still call Frazee home.
We are an active duty Army family with 22 years of service. My family and I come back to the area every summer to visit family and friends. It means the world to us.
We wish we were able to live in Minnesota full time or at least spend the entire summer at the lake, but life has sent us in a different direction for now. We are very honored that we have the opportunity to share our place with you. We love giving people the chance to enjoy the lake life without the hassle of owning a property.
We are truly a vacation rental by owner with family keeping the cabin ready for guests. So, please be patient with any issues and contact me if you need anything.

Quiet dirt road. Beautiful farm scene on one side of the cabin with a stunning lake view on the other. One neighbor is a permanent resident with the other being there only on the weekends. Great neighbors. Great location.
