The cottage was absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. The location allowed us to explore the local wineries and scenic outdoors and make a day trip to Victoria. When not out and about we were perfectly at home during our stay. The cottage was clean, well appointed, and with the lovely spa we all enjoyed for relaxing at the end of the day.Matt and Itel are wonderful hosts. Booking is a breeze, the listing is 100% accurate, and they’ve thought of everything to make their guests, including dogs, welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience had travelled for a short weekend for a wedding, Matt’s property was clean and very welcoming and just wish we had more time to enjoy. Will definitely be booking another trip soon.

A quiet oasis in the woods. The beautiful outdoor “spa” with fire, tub and shower made it feel like you were in a different world. Very relaxing. Excellent communication with the host Matt. Great location for touring around the area. Near local wineries and hikes.

Great spot . Nice and quiet. Super clean. Liked the fact we could watch shows on the TV without having an account with the streaming outfits. Did not use the spa but it looked relaxing. The only suggestion would be to have a lighter quilt available if it's hot out.

Wonderful stay. Very clean. The spa area is fabulous—that tub! Bed is very comfortable. Lots of birds about and some fantastic birding nearby, for those interested. And because I always wish for this kind of info when booking: I’m very scent-sensitive and did pretty well here. The soap and shampoo are scented, so bring your own if that bothers you. The overall scent, including bedding, was pretty minimal.

Our stay was amazing! Matthew has thought of everything! His cottage is private and has all the amenities, the instructions for everything are clear and concise! The spa was perfect! 100% recommend staying here! Loved it!!!!

Peaceful, Relaxing Stay at Cobble Hill

Weekend birthday getaway

Such a quaint cottage with a great outdoor serenity space! Everything you needed was in the cottage. The outdoor tub was the highlight with the outdoor fireplace! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit & would definitely return. Even our dog enjoyed her stay!

2023 Visit to Duncan

Lovely Cabin

A great cabin in a location with many activities. Great access to local fishing spots! Matt was quite helpful and answered all of our questions quickly. He obviously cares about the property and his approach shows that care.

Quaint Oasis

This little oasis is beautifully tucked away but the location was convenient enough to still venture out for a day or go for dinner. The home is upkept, clean and stocked with all the things one might need. Communication with the host was fast and efficient. The spa is hands down the best feature if your really looking to relax.

Relaxing getaway

If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, you are sure to find it here! The outdoor tub and fire table gave a spa like feel, allowing you to truly relax and recharge. The kitchen was equip with everything you might need to make a meal. It was spacious, clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable! The hosts were wonderful and great at replying, and the property is a short drive away from Mill bay. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing getaway in Cobble Hill

Matt runs a great little spot tucked just off the highway in Cobble Hill. Close enough that you can drive anywhere easily, but far enough that you don't hear a sound. This will be our go-to spot for all visits to the Cowichan Valley in the future. The spa area was a perfect place to wait out the rainy Island mornings with a coffee in hand and soak in the tub before bed each night. Thanks for everything Matt

Charming Cottage

My husband and I visited Cobble Hill to see our grandchildren, daughter and son-in-law in April. The cottage is in a quiet area and and has everything anyone would need. Fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer and great amenities such as all cutleries, cutting boards, etc. The bed is super comfy and my grand kiddies loved the pull out couch. The spa is a definite bonus with big soaker tub and the fire table adds a relaxing ambiance. I highly recommend! Thank you Matt.

Cottage is beautiful specially the spa area. Heating system is very nice. Very clean and private. I wish there was a hairdryer and more curtains for privacy. The lights went off a couple times in the spa which was the only down side. The place is pretty far from nearest convenient stores and restaurants. Other than that everything else was pretty good and we had a very relaxing time.

Fabulous Stay!!

I have stayed at a number of home getaways, and this one is one of the most appointed. It has everything you need and if it doesn’t, just ask and it was fulfilled. The spa room is a wonderful added touch and it was a selling feature for us. Location was on a very quiet road and a short drive to the off leash beach and to some hiking trails in which our dogs enjoyed immensely. Short drives to nearby towns for restaurants and water sports, Bed and linens are very comfortable and shower was good. The host was accommodating and respectful our our privacy. All important when choosing a place. I highly recommend this location and the host. If we are back in the area again, we would choose this place again!
