Whether relaxing on the covered deck with a good read or splashing in the surf and catching the sun in the beautiful waters of St. George Island, the best of the Forgotten Coast is within easy reach at this vacation home. After a long beach day, enjoy a super refreshing rinse in the enclosed outdoor shower. Sizzle your fresh Florida catch on the private charcoal grill, and share these delights around the picnic table. There's also cornhole provided for rainy-day entertainment.

Vaulted ceilings in the second floor’s common space provide a light and airy place to enjoy the expansive and beautiful beach views. A sun deck is just steps from the living room and you will find a convenient half-bath on this level. A smart TV is provided for entertainment. There is plenty of seating for your crew at mealtime between the dining table and breakfast bar. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare coastal feasts (even a Keurig), and beautiful coastal views provide the perfect backdrop for beach memories that will last a lifetime. The third floor features an open loft that can provide additional sleeping space.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Loved It

This property is right on the beach. The view of the ocean from the living room and sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise was refreshing. We found everything to be just as advertised or better.

Nice place, GREAT view

The views are nothing short of amazing. Very short walk to the sand. Plenty of cookware, silverware and small appliances. After a week of being there though, I am exhausted from climbing stairs.

Like having your own private beach!

Great location but needs maintenance

This house is in a great location and we really enjoyed the short walk to beach and minimal crowd with room to set up. It was also close to the restaurants and shopping. The house itself is just ok. It was not cleaned very well with sand still on floors. The downstairs bathroom shower doesn’t drain so you stand in dirty water and takes over 15 mins to drain so next person has to wait as well. Neither tv worked downstairs. However the main turn off for our family is that we cook at the house every night and Almost every dish we pulled from the kitchen was dirty, some even still had food on. We also had a pipe burst (late at night) and it was not a great experience getting someone to the house to fix. We ended up fixing ourselves and they finally showed and said would come back next day with parts and never came the final two days we were there. While it did the job as far as staying in the beach, we won’t be visiting again. Some routine maintenance and updates would go a long way for your visitors.

Happy Days

Great condo, with two bedrooms rooms and a loft, so lots of room. Overlooks the Gulf and within walking distance of the light tower and shops. Great location and highly recommended.

Perfect location

This was the perfect place for us! We loved being able to walk to stores and the park. The beachfront view and access was fantastic. We will definitely book this property again!

Happy Days

We absolutely loved the proximity to the beach. St. George Island provides a beautiful peaceful experience in November. The house has the wear and tear that you would expect from being right on the ocean but was what we were looking for with our group.

our stay at Happy Days

We just spent a week at this house and we enjoyed or visit. The location is very convenient to the beach and to island retail. We foujnd the house nice and clean but it is definitely in need of a refresh of finishes. The hardwood floor on the main level needs refinishing, many of the windows have insulated glass with broken seals so they are cloudy, most of the windoews don't have screens in them and we were there when the weather was great for opening up windows. The kitchen is not very well equiped and there is not a single sharp knife to be found. The king size bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable.

Right on the beach!

Location, location, location. Right on the beach. With a wonderful panoramic view from balconies on two levels. The house was spotless and the interior decor and furnishings far superior to any of the other homes we checked out. Comfortable beds, good linens, clean, well stocked kitchen (appliances and cookware only -- absolutely no food supplies, not even salt and pepper or aluminum foil). The only drawback was how close you are to neighbors in the rentals on both sides. If they're loud or leave lights blazing all nigh in violation of local ordinances, it really does make the experience a whole lot less pleasant.

Just OK

Management did not maintain outside or inside. Trash (ice bags and beer can) outside property. Master bath had mold that can not be treated with bleach. Would need to be re-caulked. Shower curtain was nasty. Master bath was tiny and both full baths were dated. While inside was decorated nicely, the home smelled musty. This property is for sale. The owner should have management address these issues as well as the gable at the back of the home. The driveway was full of weeds and home did not look inviting. We won't be back.

Summer break from life

We went down to St. George’s Island for a quick, early summer getaway. Happy Days was in a central location on the island and close to all the shops and restaurants, so it was convenient and quick to walk everywhere we needed to go. The location, directly on the beach, was fantastic and we sat and watched the people and dolphins hanging out and playing around in the surf, when we were out on our balcony. We loved everything about this house and it’s location. The beach area in front of the house was never really crowded and always seemed quite and pleasant. We hung out on the beach every day, and enjoyed the peace and quiet daily. The communication with VRBO and Vacasa was very good and they were quick to respond to us, when we had a question, very good hospitality. We will be back for another stay in a few months, such great memories.

Wonderful beach experience

The house has all you need for a relaxing time at the beach. The porch is a great place to enjoy the ocean view and sun. The bedroom is great and the kitchen well equipped.

Great location. Owner needs a new management company.

The location is great for getting on and off the island. It's also very close to eateries and groceries. The beachfront view is wonderful and it was nice and quiet during mid-October. The home has a new owner as of May who stated the house is being renovated. While well equipped, its age shows and is definitely in need of some work and that takes time. That is not a reason to not choose this home. As a beachfront condo owner who also rents, I am aware of the difficulties of not being on-site. Vacasa recently purchased the former rental management company managing this home. I would strongly suggest that the owner find a new one. We came in to find one of the bedrooms had not been cleaned at all. The floor was dirty as well as the bathroom. But worst of all the sheets had not been changed as dirty socks were found inside the sheets at the foot of the bed. The cleaning crew came the next morning and I had them change all the linens in all the bedrooms. Even they expressed frustration working with Vacasa as they formerly worked with the old rental agency. While I would rent this house again, it would only be on the condition that the homeowner is managing and not Vacasa. Never again will I rent a home managed by Vacasa.
