This Beautiful Pono Kai Condo is steps from the ocean and the beach...and furnished in traditional Island decor for a true Aloha feel. With AC, full kitchen, dining room, living room, two large bedrooms, two large bathrooms - wheelchair accessible shower in Master bathroom, washer/dryer, private patio, pool, hot tub, spa, tennis, exercise room, volleyball, BBQ grills, free WiFi, 3 mile bike path along ocean, FREE parking, etc etc.

This amazing garden/partial oceanview, 1200 square foot, ground floor, TWO-bedroom, TWO-bath condo is just steps from the pool and beach, this condominium provides the best location for island fun.

This condo has AC. PLEASE KEEP ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS CLOSED WHEN OPERATING THE AC, and TURN OFF AC IN ROOMS NOT BEING USED. That helps us keep the room rates down.

Due to the wonderful Kauai trade winds, most of the time AC is not needed. Enjoy this Oceanfront condo with its refreshing ocean breezes. Ceiling fans in Kitchen/Living Room, and both Bedrooms for additional air circulation.

No stairs to climb, just exit the patio to the beach or stroll thru the beautifully manicure gardens. The pool, tennis courts, croquet court, barbecue/picnic areas, volleyball, fitness facility, shuffle board and the beach are just steps from the condo. Take a short walk through historic Kapa'a for great island shopping, food, and recreation.

Chjeckin process terrible

The condo staff does not cooperate with units that are not owned by them. We had to call the property owner to get into our VRBO rented condo. The condo staff denied any knowledge of code to get into our rental. Luckily the owner answer his phone, otherwise we would have been left standing in the lobby for hours/days !!!!!!

Needs maintenance

WiFi not working - VRBO router information was incorrect. Cable TV was intermittent - reprogrammed to correct router. Guest bath shower head has very weak water pressure compared to master bath - need to replace or repair clogged shower head. Who is Property Manager?

Great location

This property was just ok, everything a little old. The location was fantastic, close to down town Kapaa. Walking trail right outside the door. Good for island exploration and close to the airport. Just remember the traffic is tough, use an audio book or great tunes. IT’s Hawaii relax, it all good.

Paradise

Beautifully landscaped grounds and a great location made this property ideal for us. The pool, all the sports activities available on the grounds and the games provided in the condo made this the perfect place for our 8 year old granddaughter. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed to fix most of our meals. We enjoyed the large size of each of the rooms in this condo and really appreciated the air conditioning and the full sized washer and dryer. We would stay here every year if we could financially do so.

Great location. Nice size. 1 day they repaired siding on out unit and there was hammering for 4 hours. Also upstairs guests were very loud w little kids jumping. Pool and amenities were great. Kitchen well stocked. Great pool and beach supplies for use.

Fantastic Stay with Excellent Amenities and Beach Access!

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Bryan's property! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which immediately set the tone for a comfortable stay. Every room was equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a cool and pleasant environment throughout our visit. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the range of amenities available. The swimming pool was a fantastic spot to relax and cool off, while the table tennis and mini golf provided endless entertainment for the family. We were also thrilled with the direct access to the beach, which was a wonderful bonus. The convenience of being just steps away from the shore allowed us to enjoy spontaneous beach outings and breathtaking ocean views. Our mornings were particularly special, thanks to the charming patio area. We loved starting our days with breakfast outside, soaking in the serene surroundings and fresh air. It was a perfect setting to unwind and savor our meals. Overall, Bryan's attention to detail and thoughtful hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and look forward to returning in the future.

Great property!

We had a great time! Bryan was great and super communicative. The property is beautiful and had lots of games and sports equipment available- which would be great for families. The location is great, and the condo easily slept 4 of us. We had everything we needed here thank you!

Great location, fantastic property

The property was clean, the pool and hot tub were great additions after a long day, and the location was ideal for kicking around the island. Everything was clean, neat, and well-organized. There were beach items we could use, and that was a great bonus as well. Loved this property.

Great place

This condo was and looked just like listing described. Unfortunately the washer was broken but there was washer on site to use ( quarters required) but the dryer was working fine. The beds are not very comfortable the futon in living room was the most comfortable bed. Bring extra towels there is not enough. I did bring extra and washed a load while we were at the property. You walk right out the patio door and a couple 100 feet and the ocean is there. There is plenty to door near the condo in walking distance food, shopping and bike rentals which was super fun. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfy Condo Steps from the Ocean

This condo is comfortable, clean and is within a few steps to the ocean! It has been stocked with pretty much everything you'll need for an enjoyable stay. With 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, the price is totally reasonable! It's located in Kapa'a within walking distance of many shops and places to eat. The resort has an amazing list of activities; pool, hot tub, exercise room, outdoor bbq grills to use, games including outdoor chess, tennis, croquet, putting green, and more, along with beautiful landscape, koi pond and waterfall......and of course, the chickens!! The host, Bryan, is easy to work with and keeps you informed of any important details. Thanks again, Bryan!

Great Get-Away!

Very well-maintained and equipped for a fun and relaxing vacation for all ages. It has every amenity we need. One minor exception is that we could not connect the TV in the master bedroom. However, the one in the living room worked well. We appreciate the beautiful welcome gifts, too. Future guests will be very comfortable in this unit. Mahalo from the Feltner family!

Family stay

The condo is in an ideal location. It accommodated our large group. The however is that it jacked some basics like enough towels and towels for the pool. It did have good each gear - chairs, umbrella etc.

Great location.

Nice location near shopping and beach. Kitchen well equipped. Washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher pluses. Lani a plus. Decor is dated and living room furniture uncomfortable. Insufficient plug ins for phones and devices. Musty smell throughout unit.

location GREAT -

Location of this condo is FANTASTIC. The layout of this condo is great for a family. Basic supplies were not adequate for our family. WE are a Family of 5 with 3 teenagers (19-14) (which the owner knew as we needed to specify it when booking) but there was not enough bath towels for us to have a shower. Luckily we were able to launder them with the in house machines, but definitely not enough for us. Also, there were not any tea-towel or wash clothes in the kitchen for us to hand wash dishes. We ended up using ALOT of paper towels, which was a complete waste of money. The a/c units in the living room and bedroom did NOT work at all. We are not a family that would complain about these sort of things, and we just lived with it for the week that we booked. I wasn't going to post this negative review as I did message the condo owner and let him know our concerns over a week ago, and I have received no email back from him. I would stay at Pono Kai again, but I really would think about renting this unit again.

Great location, a few minor issues.

Overall a super place and enjoyable stay. There were a few Minor Issues: 1. Dishwasher full of dirty dishes and not started prior to arrival. 2. TV in master bedroom not working. Cable or connection issue? 3. Owner closest open and not locked. 4. At check in, the office was unaware of our stay. 5. Ant problem in kitchen, treatment during stay did NOT eradicate problem.

Great location, needs rehab

Ideal location to explore Kauai. Not oceanfront but 30 second walk to see most amazing sunrises. Spacious living with a comfortable bed in Master and hard mattress in second bedroom. The unit is in need of major updates. Sitting surfaces are badly worn. We covered them with bedspreads. A 32 in. TV in the 21st Century? Everything worked. It had Air Cond. but wasn’t needed. WiFi good. We had a problem with ghost ants in the kitchen. Called the desk and were told it is a privately owned unit and to call our provided contact. She suggested using vinegar to keep them away. We called our cleaner but she was no help. We were told by an exterminator that the ants probably live within the wall and come out around the electrical connections. So if you book, stop at Safeway on the way in and buy some vinegar. Use it liberally, it works.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The ocean and beach are just steps away. The grounds are meticulously manicured. The 5 mile biking/walking path goes in front of our condo and up and down the island for awesome morning and evening rides/walks. The condo is centrally located on the island (Kapaa) so driving time is minimized. Great restaurants and activities abound all over and we can mingle with the locals and not feel stampeded by tourists. Perfect Hawaiian experience.
