The fully renovated kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, a spacious breakfast bar, and all the cookware and utensils needed for dining in. Whether you’re preparing a family meal or a quick breakfast before exploring, this kitchen is equipped for it all.

Each of the three bedrooms has been designed with your comfort in mind. Two rooms include queen-sized beds, and one features a twin-sized bed, accommodating up to five guests comfortably. Every bedroom has a Smart TV, blackout curtains, and a noise machine to ensure a restful night’s sleep.
High-end bedding, plush pillows, and soft towels give the home a true five-star feel. The bathrooms have been fully updated with modern fixtures and finishes, offering a spa-like experience for every guest.

Guest Experience
Guests have full access to the entire home—excluding the basement, which is reserved for supplies and storage—as well as the private driveway, one-car garage, and backyard for their exclusive use. Upon arrival, you’ll find a Welcome Binder with local recommendations, hiking trails, and dining guides curated by your hosts.
Your hosts live nearby and are always happy to assist during your stay if you need anything—from dining suggestions to local tips.
Family-Friendly Amenities
Traveling with little ones? The Akron Retreat is family-friendly and provides both a Pack ’n Play (with fitted sheets and blanket) and a high chair at no additional cost. Please notify us at booking so we can have everything set up for your arrival.
Safety and Accessibility
An exterior security camera is installed facing the driveway and walkway for the safety of our guests and caretakers. It does not capture any private areas and is used solely for insurance and property protection.
Parking is available in the driveway, garage, or on the street. Please be considerate and avoid blocking neighbors’ driveways.
House Rules
- Maximum occupancy: 5 guests
- No pets allowed (service animals must be disclosed at booking)
- No smoking or vaping inside or outside the home (a $500 cleaning fee applies for violations)
- No glitter or confetti allowed (additional cleaning fee applies if found)
- Quiet hours after 9 PM in accordance with the local noise ordinance
- Please remove shoes upon entry; a shoe bin is provided
- Early check-in or late checkout may be available for a fee (based on schedule)
Getting Around Akron
Getting around the city is easy and convenient. The home is close to Interstates 76 and 77, making it simple to explore the rest of Northeast Ohio.
If you don’t have a car, the Akron Metro Bus system provides reliable transportation throughout the city, and Uber, Lyft, and local taxi services are readily available. The Zagster bike-share program also offers an easy and fun way to get around town.
