Beautifully restored Victorian with original details. This huge home can sleep 16+! This is an entire duplex with 2 separate 4 bedroom 2 bath units both with chefs kitchens. Sleep like a baby on temperpedic style queen beds. 4 Bathrooms are all full baths and one includes claw foot soaking tub.

Upper and lower units have separate entrances and are not conjoined.

DOnt Do It!

When we arrived it was pccupied. We waited e hours after check im for them to finish cleaning. The owner lets his employees stay there. The house was fillthy. The sofas were serrt, there was dust wverywherethe stoves do. Ot work amsd nekther soes the drige. There is a coin op washwr and dryer There were about 5 towels for a group of 18. There was a roach in the kitchen. The patio furniture was covered in dirt and mold. This property should be removed from the site, it is not ready for rent. the host refused a refund. We left after just a few hours and disputed the charges uard.

VRBO REVIEW

We secured this facility months ago. We were reminded of our stay a few days prior. Upon arrival we overviewed the facility & noticed it was not ready for renters. I texted the host & immedietly received a text that the reservations had been cancelled as the rental had been sold & money would be refunded. Eeek! We found other housing at the last minute but it proved stressful & inaporopriate

They cancelled the first day of my reservation

At least they refunded my payment - I had to scramble to find something for 10 family members coming in from Toronto for a six day family reunion

Owner cancelled with less than 24 hr notice!!

I had to click 1 star, because the system wouldn’t let me submit the review otherwise. We were notified less than 24 hr before we were to check in that our reservation was cancelled due to the property being sold. No other notice had been given. In fact, hours previous to this we had received emails from VRBO that we were all set and the host was awaiting us. This is our first experience with VRBO. And now it is also our last! This stay was for a large group and last minute we had find and book hotel rooms for everyone traveling long distance for our son’s wedding. Not what we needed to be dealing with-what a shock!

Good despite issues

Space was plenty, light was good. Anne was very responsive to hear about issues that came up, but it took longer to get them resolved. The Continental club across the street had no shows booked during our stay, so there was not a noise problem.

Beautiful place

The size and the Victorian style of the home was nice. Great for larger parties. One thing that was disappointing was the location is in a rough neighborhood that’s next to a night club that was rowdy late until the morning. Other than that good experience

Graduation Trip

Our son was graduating from Berkeley Law School and we needed a place to accommodate a large group (10) of his friends and family. This house worked extremely well with easy access to both UC Berkely as well as San Francisco. The West Oakland Bart station was a short walk away. We were a little concerned about the neighborhood, but had no problems and we were always able to find street parking either directly in front of or very close to the house. The house was great with comfortable beds and well equipped kitchens. We were very pleased with the accommodations and the host.

Oakland rental

The actual rental was just right for our family group size! Having 8 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was just what we needed! It is a duplex that is totally separate, one upstairs one downstairs! There was not enough bowls for serving and a mixture of flatware! Dishwasher soap dish didn’t work right, didn’t open! The refrigerator left side door doesn’t open all the way. This was definitely not a safe feeling neighborhood! There were homeless groups just 2 blocks away… a lot of people walking the neighborhood after midnight, 2 of the nights of the 3 that we stayed! A half block away is a Club Lounge open late! With only street parking, we usually found parking but maybe down a block for some of our cars… thankful no cars were broken into! I guess that is why it was cheaper than staying in San Francisco, which is why we stayed in Oakland! Overall this place worked out for a big group! We were all here for a family member Memorial service in SF! We came from 5 different USA states! So it was nice we could be together!

Amazing Home!

We absolutely loved it here! The house was clean, HUGE, beautiful and with a great location to easily get to SF. Great kitchens to cook in and just as excpetional beds that were extremely comfortable. I cannot rave enough on how pleasant it was having 4 bathrooms for our large professional group! Anne was also super attentive and helpful with all of my questions. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be staying here again :)
