Located on Kauai's verdant North Shore, Anini is a haven for the traveler who wants to experience the unspoiled natural beauty of Hawaii. Protected by a large outer reef, the quiet waters of Anini are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, windsurfing, and sunning.

Follow Anini Road almost to the spot where it dead ends at Anini Stream and you will find Hale Kai, a lovely, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home situated on over a half acre of lushly landscaped land fronting the blue Pacific. Constructed of natural cedar throughout, the home is fully and tastefully furnished for the ultimate in vacationing comfort. Please note the last quarter mile is unpaved and get quite bumpy depending on the weather.

Amenities:
* King-sized bed in master suite. Private bathroom with tub/shower. Two twin beds in each guest room. Guest bath with eight-foot by three-foot shower. Half bath downstairs. Covered deck with table, chairs, and chaise lounges (perfect for whale watching during the humpback whale migration season!).
* Fully-equipped kitchen with four-burner gas range with oven, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, wet bar, six-foot bar/serving counter, coffee maker, toaster, blender, mixer, etc.
* Entertainment center which includes 36-inch color cable TV.
* Other amenities include washer and dryer, telephones, barbecue, and beach toys.

We provide FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS (via Cable), FREE UNLIMITED LONG DISTANCE CALLING (within the USA), CALLER ID, 3 WAY CALLING, AND *69 (enabling you to dial the last number who called you).

Hale Kai is fully permitted as a transient vacation rental by the County of Kauai. Our Non Conforming Use Certificate number is 5083.
Please note that this property is in a Tsunami Zone as most beachfront property on the island. Detailed information regarding the corresponding evacuation is provided at the accommodation.

Our trip to the Annini Beach House was amazing. The home and amenities could use some updating, but the pricing was fair considering the unbeatable location right on the beach. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we truly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful vacation!

This was the perfect house for us. We enjoyed time on the beach out front, quiet time on the balcony, the location worked great for fun trips in either direction, and no one in our group wanted to leave.

Quiet Beach Hideaway

We loved this property. The beach is out of the way and quiet and perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The house had plenty of room for our family in this perfect location.

This charming rustic beach house is in the best location! Located right on Anini Beach…. All you have to do is wake up put on your bathing suit, walk 30 seconds and you are in paradise. Swimming, snorkeling (a beautiful reef is just a swim out your door with plenty of fish and sea turtles!) sunrises, beach walks, and sunsets are just steps away! We loved waking up early to have the beach all to ourselves…. And in the evenings the sunset walks were stunning. We rented paddle boards for the day from Liko with Anini Paddle Boarding…. This spot is perfect for paddle boarding and we highly recommend Liko for your paddle board rental… very helpful and friendly and he does guided tours too!This house has everything you need, just be mindful that it is a beach house on the North shore… so no air conditioning…. But it is equipped with plenty of fans. Also roosters may wake you up early lol…. And there may be a bug here and there. But you will not care because this location is so magical and beautiful. We hope to visit again one day!

Wonderful beach house

Very clean and comfortable. Amazing views from the deck - we saw shooting stars, rainbows and whales! Suzie was a fantastic host. Highly recommend. My family will have many fond memories from this stay.

The latter two are both located at the secluded end of incredible Anini Beach. All three properties are owned and lovingly cared for by Bob Nakea and his daughter Suzi. Bob and Suzi are native Hawaiians whose family's roots on Kauai go back to the 1800's. No attention to detail on the properties is overlooked, and each home is furnished with the comfort of its guests foremost in mind.

Hale Kai's location almost at the dead end of Anini Road (1/5 mile after paved road ends and gravel and sand road begins), where there is only a single row of homes along the beach, means that our guests enjoy quiet and privacy not found along most of the rest of Anini. The protecting reef (one of the largest in Hawaii) assures that the waves break far out and not on the shore, and the calm shoreline and shallow waters make the area in front of the house ideal for swimming and snorkeling most of the year (except during periods of high winter surf). It is a wonderful beach for small children as it has a smooth sandy bottom (no holes to worry about!).
