The property had a gorgeous view of the river! The dock and smaller kayak dock were very convenient. We really enjoyed drinking our morning coffee and watching the sun come up.

The property is charming and quiet. Last minute reservation and the owner was great with our request. Would definitely recommend this to others that want to stay and relax for the weekend. The only thing that is concerning is that the neighbors down the way let their dogs run around not on leashes, so if you are walking your dogs be advised that their are 2 German shepards that run around not on leashes . But other than that is was a great house for a great price and very relaxing

We spent four days in the cottage and enjoyed every minute. Very clean with super comfortable beds not to mention the beautiful view from the master bedroom and the living room..peaceful location with a quick walk to the marina. The host has a book of recommended restaurants nearby and we highly recommend the Local for coffee and breakfast. I will definitely stay in this cottage again.

Great Location for Waterfront Relaxation

Lovely place and attentive owner, felt right at home and will definitely return to this property for future trips to the area.

The house is great. Very clean and the A/C works great! I was surprised that the dock ended abruptly and is blocked. We were there to fish and crab, but fishing was more about getting snagged because we couldn't cast from the end of the dock. Jelly fish were by the hundreds in the water. Not any issue of the property owner just disappointing for anyone wanting to swim. Closet swim beach that is useable by renters is about a 12 minute drive. Wake Beach is about 100 yards of sandy beach between 2 properties. The last night, there was a major storm. Water came in through the backdoor and flooded the dining room. We cleaned it up and reported it to the property manager. He stated it had happened only one time before. Great house, great views and very quiet. Slept really well!!

Lovely stay on the Rivah

Had a lovely little getaway that was much needed! Bed was most comfy we’ve had for one of these stays!

Cute cottage with great location

The little blue cottage had everything we needed- plenty of space, kayaks for fun and clean towels and sheets. We really enjoyed the short commute to Wake beach and the views from the house.

Peaceful Stay

Unfortunately our stay in the area was necessitated by a death in the family. The Little Blue Cottage was a perfect peaceful refuge as we were handling arrangements. The location on the water was so tranquil (and our dogs loved it too)!

Cheerful, peaceful times at the Little Blue Cottage

Very comfortable and the flow between the outside and inside was great...loved the tranquility and the younger ones loved the kayaks!

Just wanted to say that the only reason I gave you a 4 on a couple of the ratings on my end was just that none of the check out instructions were done prior to you all leaving. It just made it hard for my staff to turn the place over in time for the next guest. Still happy to host you all and glad you had a wonderful time ! Thanks

Girl's Getaway

We had a wonderful time at The Little Blue Cottage. Everything was impeccably clean and very comfortable. 1The view of the water was beautiful. Forrest, the owner, was very responsive and accommodating. Ovwrall, we enjoyed our stay and would love to back sometime.
