The house is pretty nice. Decent size. Not much in the way of extra spaces (really just the family room) so just be aware. Also, take note of the pool size. It's definitely not a big pool. Just a nice place to spend a little time after the beach. Beach access is easy and not far. An ocean kayak was listed but not provided. Screened in porch is nice. overall a good house

Great location

Clean, cozy, quick walk to the beach and community pool! It was perfect for our family’s beach vacation.

Family vacation

Great house, perfect location, we highly recommend. Large community pool about 100 yards from house and perfect place for your kids to make new friends.

House was great, and was literally right next to the beach. House has a nice pool (“plunge” so it was really nice to just get in and cool off), hot tub, and a cute little tiki bar right next to the pool with a fridge and tv and sink! Community had tennis courts and a bigger pool (passes provided). There was an area behind the pool, adjacent to the tennis courts, where we walked the dogs to use the bathroom. Overall we were very pleased with everything. The only recommendations I have is to bring your own frying pans (the ones there honestly just need to be replaced) and good luck with the ice maker (I know this is a number 1 complaint) lol. We just used the ice trays that were there and left a bunch of ice for the next person. There is a “curious traveler” binder/guide on the sofa table. Had a lot of useful information and recommendations on things to do/eat and tips (such as for the ice maker). I thought that was great and thoughtful. It also had the owners email and phone number in case any issues arose. We will definitely be back next year!

Quick Trip

Awesome house that’s super close to the beach. The house was super clean and just what we expected. This will be high on our list to stay at again when we return to OBX. Thanks for accommodating our dogs!

Off Season

We had an awesome time! 2 minute walk to the beach. We had beach all to ourselves. Grandkids had an amazing time finding seashells

Great summer vacation house

Sweet place- Very close to beach, tennis, community pool and lake with large turtles and herons. The property manager was very responsive and kind. The property pool is tiny but not really a problem. We would rent the place again.

Great Place To Stay!

Very nice property with all the amenities. Close walk to the beach (one block away without crossing any roads) and the community pool and tennis/pickleball courts. Plus you are a short driving distance from Harris Teeter and Food Lion and multiple other shops and ~5 miles from the beach access ramps (beach parking pass is provided). Pool is small but great for a quick refreshing dip after a hot day. Highly recommend.

Perfect OBX vacation

The house was a short walk to the beach. Perfect for little kids and grandparents. 3 families stayed during our trip and the layout worked well for our own space and together time. The hot tub was hot, the pool was warm and perfect for young kids. The community pool was not crowded at all and a short walk from home. The community was quiet and private and stores were only about 5 minutes down the road.We had a wonderful time and highly recommend.

Wonderful getaway!

Awesome location and beautifully decorated. Our family absolutely enjoyed our week! The weather was great! We would definitely recommend the Curious Traveler. Unfortunately, the hot tub was only luke warm. (however the hot water in the house was wonderful). Unsure what happened there but it was disappointing. The pool was perfect! Thanks for a wonderful week.

Great location but needs some maintenance

The communication and check in/out were excellent. The pool area was perfect for our group and well maintained. It seemed that the cleaning company did a good job with cleaning but there were several sites of mold above a shower and around windows. It may be the fact that we rented in the fall after a busy summer rental season but the house seemed a bit worn. It was pet friendly and offers a community pool and racquetball courts.
