Escape to a stylish third-level penthouse studio in peaceful El Granada, just north of Half Moon Bay. Designed for two guests, this bright indoor-outdoor retreat offers panoramic ocean, harbor, sunset, and garden views—a beautiful setting for a romantic coastal getaway or a quiet break by the sea. Walk about 10 minutes to nearby beaches and 15 minutes to popular local restaurants. Spend your days hiking, biking, surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, golfing, or exploring scenic Highway 1, then return to relax and watch the sunset. San Francisco is approximately 30 minutes away, and Santa Cruz is about an hour away. Please note that the studio is on the third level and requires climbing stairs.

Very accurate description of the view, very cute, wife loved it. You will definitely get your steps in. Wife said the succulents amazing. 10/10 will book again with them next time we are in town.

The main room/bedroom is quite lovely, The bathroom and kitchen area are tiny but functional. The outdoor deck spaces add extra gathering spots and views. Plants in pots and garden areas are plentiful and well tended. A lovely place at the top of a long stair climb!

Great solo trip! The studio was clean, well-stocked, clean white towels, nicely decorated. My favorite was sitting on the deck with the ocean view enjoying a glass of wine that they provided. It was peaceful, if you don’t mind a room above the owner’s house. They are quiet. I would book again. Thank you!

It was just plain "excellent"! The place was very clean, lovely deck area that we used daily. The bed was very comfortable. Dishes were provided. It was very close to Half Moon Bay, two lighthouses, lots of beaches, and hikes to do. The hostess, Diana, we met when we got there. Very pleasant. The whole place was decorated with all types of lush plants and succulents. Thank you for a great stay!!

The studio is in a great location and is centrally located within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Pictures were accurate and the place was spotless; would definitely stay here again.

Cute little place with a breathtaking view. Near a shopping area, restaurants and the beach. A bit of a walk, but still quite close. Would recommend if you just need a short stay near HMB.

This is a very clean, cozy space! Great view of the ocean too. The dog was happy, only we had to walk him down the stairs in order to relieve himself. He is almost 14, and it is getting harder for him to climb stairs. Not a problem for young dogs! Thank you for a lovely stay, Diana! We would rent from you again for sure!

Overall, the stay and experience worked out fine for us. However, I would caution any elderly considering choosing this place. The property listing was not very clear in informing the renter that there are many steps to climb to reach this studio apartment. There are a series of about 7 steps, then a landing, then more steps, another landing and then more steps ,etc. I counted about 36 steps in all. They did provide you with hand railing but still I would caution anyone with an issue with balance, beware. The studio apartment was basically a one room bedroom with TV and fireplace and a very small side table with 2 stools for sitting. The outdoor patio was nice and we enjoyed being out there as much as possible. The bathroom was spacious and modern. Do not plan on cooking many meals here unless you like to microwave your meals. Only a microwave, hot plate, small refrig. Good for morning coffee and perhaps wine and snacks, etc. The view? Lovely!!!!! Neighborhood? Quiet!!!! Easy parking, too! Great for a younger couple! Enjoy!!!

The property had a great ocean view and was very homey with nice amenities. There are quite a few steps to reach the room, but once you get there its amazing. Very close to the harbor with lots of restaurants.

My husband and I were looking forward to 48 hours away and I was not prepared for how perfect this adorable place was. The view was breath taking, the room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom fully stocked, and to top it off we were able to bring our dogs with us! The host was even nice enough to close the gates so the pups could wonder around. Walking distance to our favorite local restaurants and breweries. Very close and short walk to the beach. I would definitely stay here again!

Best view, great property!

We are so glad we decided to stay here. The view was amazing and we were close enough to walk to the harbor and all the restaurants and things around El Grenada. We hope to come back one day!
