Come relax at the Paddle Inn on all sports Thompson Lake. Connected to the lake by backyard canal. Neighborhood swans routinely swim by and nest in the yard. Fishing is great, kayaks available. New Blackstone grill out back. Relax and enjoy Lake Thompson, while still being close to downtown Howell.

Close to vibrant restaurants and cafes in downtown Howell, well known for festivals, food trucks, Sunday farmers market, Tanger Outlet Mall. Parks, trails & skiing nearby, including Scofield Park. Community events and festivals in town are year round. This area always has something fun to do!

Perfect Location for Ann Arbor

Stayed here for a game at the University of Michigan. Perfect location away from all the chaos; beautiful, idyllic location with the lake and relaxed feel. Fantastic house, fantastic host, will stay again if I'm back in the area.

Perfect spot for a cozy weekend!

Paddle Inn exceeded our expectations. This was a beautiful place to stay and perfect location. The host was in touch. The house had everything we needed and more. It was clean, cute and cozy! We hope to return next year!

Sweet spot in Howell

What a sweet find right in Howell. Quiet location at end of culdesac. Perfect for our family gathering. Very clean, smartly decorated and well stocked with basic necessities. Host was very responsive.

Beautiful home.

Love the property! Ample space for the whole family to spread out. Hostess was very quick to respond, and very accommodating. We will recommend this home to all of our friends. Great location quietness nestled in the heart of everything.

Thankful for a thanksgiving home!

Stayed for 4 nights and cooked a turkey dinner for our family. This place was impeccably clean and stocked. It has everything we needed. Comfortable beds? Check. Multiple spaces to hang out? Check! Potato masher? Double check! It was cozy, especially once the snow began to fall.

Wonderful stay

Had another property booked and they cancelled 3 days before our family was to arrive for a wedding. Host was awesome. She was so responsive. Got us booked immediately and was so communicative during the stay. House is so nice and provided all the amenities. Could not ask for better. I highly recommend.

Nieces graduation

My husband myself my brother and sister in law stayed her for our nieces graduation from Michigan State. The house was perfect for us to all gather in great neighborhood and town. The downtown shops and farmers market were my favorite! Communication with Melinda was prompt and she checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Great spot!

My two young daughters (8 & 11) and I loved the house. It's tucked away in a small neighborhood right next to downtown Howell, nice and quiet on an inlet to the nearby lake, with everything you would want within 5-10 minutes (groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, etc.). The house is perfectly stocked in the kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms which was nice, and the host was very gracious and responsive. The house itself was the perfect size for us but could've held a few more people easily. It had great light, good internet, and a fun little upstairs nook to play games and work. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Exceeded all expectations

The property is clean and all brand new. All the decorating touches were beautiful. The owners paid every attention to detail. Fresh coffee in the cabinets, blow dryers in each bathroom, cozy throw pillows and more. Four girlfriends for the weekend with comfy beds and lots of space to spend together in all sections of the house. Easy and quick communication with the owners. We can not say enough about the property, the experience and the space. Thank you! We will be back for another girls weekend.

Very clean and cute house!

The Paddle Inn was very clean and cute! Each room had what we needed, beds were comfortable, and the house was well stocked with toiletries! The upstairs room does get a little warm but there are fans provided and you can change the AC temp. Very cozy and easy to find!

Family getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Melinda made everything so easy - the house was perfect for our extended family (3 adults, 3 teens). We would definitely return to this home on a future trip to Howell.

The Paddle Inn is on the canal of Lake Thompson and situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. It's tucked away in a residential area, but very close to the 96 business loop and historic downtown Howell. It's a nice retreat on the water that has amazing restaurants, pubs, and shopping close by.

Lake Thompson is know for great fishing. Connect to the lake from the back yard. We have 2 fishing kayaks and are close by the public boat launch. Amazing winter and summer recreation activities close by- Howell Nature Center, Lakelands Trail State Park, Pinckney Recreation Area, Mt Brighton, Island Lake Recreation Area, Kensington Metropark.

Downtown Howell is a historic district known for excellent restaurants, pubs, bakeries and shopping. The Sunday Farmer's Market showcases the best in the area during the warmer months. The market moves inside during the winter at the Howell Opera House. Outlet shopping is close by at the Tanger Outlet Mall.
