Perfect to unwind, relax, and enjoy nature at its best. 6 minutes away to Oahu’s hidden treasure where you can swim with the turtles (Turtle Rock). 3 beautiful beaches close by that aren’t crowded; minutes away from the forest preserve; hiking; world famous surfing beach Makaha is only 5 minutes away with great diving as well. Yokohama bay with beautiful sunsets turtles and dolphins is only 10 minutes away. A Golf course with amazing ocean and mountain views is only 2 minutes away (Makaha Valley Country Club). Electric beach is close by with great diving and many more surf spots on the coast. Private guard/gated super zen brand new community that will hypnotize you. We enjoyed the backyard beneath the gazebo. I also liked that it could fit a large family and had sleeping arrangements. However, we had no extra linen for the pull-out couch. I did wish the master bedroom had a television as well. Other than that, the owner had excellent communication and check-in was a snap. I would most certainly return.

Awesome stay

This property was great! Nice and quiet and away from the hustle and bustle at a fantastic price. The owner/operator was great and was able to grant us a late checkout to match our departure flight.

Great west side location! the house is in a beautiful gated community near the Makaha beach. Great beach for snorkeling and swimming!

Valley with all the views! Spectacular views of mountains and ocean!

We booked this home not knowing anything about the area but everything is a close drive. We did most activities on the other side of the island but never a far drive. It's a beautiful home in a very quiet neighborhood.

Very nice location and clean home. Beautiful view to the ocean and close to good beaches and restaurants. Our only challenge was not having access to beach towels. Everything else was perfect.

We loved everything about the house & the owner was phenomenal in communicating with us! IF I ever go back with family I would not hesitate to stay at the same house.

Didn’t get to use the pool. Was very busy out exploring the island. Very beautiful and clean home. Loved that it was in a gated community. Definitely would stay there again! Host responded very quickly when I had questions.

Makaha Visit

The home was just what we were expecting. The views were spectacular and being in a gated community the security was great. The communication with Theresa the owner was always immediate and her suggestions of places to see were spot on. Thank you for a great vacation.

It would have accommodated my entire family comfortably, unfortunately they couldn't make it. I absolutely loved my stay. You can see the ocean, mountains, lush greenery and beautiful sunset!

Beautiful new home with breathtaking ocean, sunset and mountain views!

Our family of 8 adults had a fabulous stay in this quiet, gated new neighborhood. Communication with host was always prompt and check in was seamless. It was so nice that they also have a full size washer and dryer and beach chairs. Comfortable beds, bedding, and generous sized towels. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Makaha Heavens

The property was very well maintained and was described accurately. The only issue was the homeless and trash in the area. It was a very rough side of Oahu.

Heavenly!

Everything was just as described! View was breath taking and your home was absolutely beautiful! we enjoyed the landscape for that is a trade my father use to do before he retired. It was definitely a home for Ohana! Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

The neighborhood was fairly quiet. It was beautiful to be surrounded by the mountains and we had ocean views. The pool is a 2 minute walk. The AC worked well. The house was also a good distance from much of Oahu. A car is an absolute must. The house was well equipped with linens. The kitchen was pretty sparse. There were exactly 8 plates and we had 8 people staying. We made it work but we had to get creative. Overall, a nice property if you’re looking to spend most of your time in the west side or you don’t mind a lot of time in the car.

Family vacation

This was a lovely home to stay in. The neighborhood was quiet and the amenities were all we could’ve asked for. We were a little disappointed by the presence of so many vagrants on the nearby beaches. That prevented us from going to the beaches closest to the home and we had to drive away away to find beaches that were better. This is of course, not the fault of the homeowner. I find myself being disappointed in the state of Hawaii and not treating the issue of homelessness in such a way that it positively impacts their number one industry, which is tourism. Nonetheless, should we ever find ourselves coming to Honolulu again, we would love to stay in this home again. The owner was lovely to deal with and our comfort, safety, and entertainment was her number one concern.

Busy family of 6

We had a great time and had only a few little 'hiccups': 1. Pity that there was no garbage pickup between your last guest's departure and our arrival; the bin was already full for our large group. 2. I think there is a bee or wasp nest in the eaves near the picnic table? I heard a hum over my shoulder on Sunday morning.It would have been nice to sup outside. 3. We did not find a vaccuum cleaner to clean after ourselves more upon our departure. Otherwise all went well and the house had just about everything else we needed.

Communication with Theresa was very good. Questions were answered quickly. The house was very comfortable and clean. Views of the mountains from the backyard were lovely. Using the house as a home base made my 90 year old mom’s first visit to Hawaii memorable. The use of the beach chairs and boogie board, etc were much appreciated. Mahalo!
