We have stayed here several times and each time has been excellent. We always have everything we need, and love the home overall. Plenty of space for us to stretch out as a family, but still cozy enough to feel together. We'll be back in the fall!

We had a fantastic time staying here, ample outdoor space and opportunity to roam. Ideal floor plan and indoor space for our families to hang out and play!

Hidden Gem!

This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Shaver Lake! My kids had an absolute blast exploring the forest around the cabin and we are already planning our next trip!

Beautiful Mountain Cabin

Beautiful cabin, fully stocked with all of the kitchen essentials. We spent alot of time on the deck and near the fire pit. It's a quiet and peacefull retreat that feels secluded, but still close to town. We loved staying here.

Absolutely beautiful! I would give 10 stars if I could. Our family of 6 (3 generations) made priceless memories. Everything we needed, wonderful communication with the host, quiet & secluded property in the pines, cabin(home) clean and gorgeous. We will be back! Loved our stay in everyway. Thank you!

Family Getaway

We absolutely loved this house. It accommodated our family needs in every way. The gorgeous deck to the relaxing fire pit was the staple for us. Thank you again for a great trip and look forward to renting again in the future.

Great winter getaway

The property is beautiful and peaceful, the house is comfortable and feels like a real home, and the host is wonderful and responsive. The quiet, extensive property for exploring, snow play, and sledding meant we never had to worry about packing up for our toddler and loading everyone into the car. The perfect place for a relaxing, stress free winter vacation.

This was our 4th time staying at this lovely "home away from home." If youre thinking about booking, do it! You will make great memories and enjoy spectacular views! Has everything you need, and is just a short drive to town if you forget something. We will be back again!

Awesome cabin

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful and super clean. There was 9 of us and plenty of space for everyone. We had a blast one the Fogg family sledding hill. The cabin is close to town as well. Will definitely be back.

We had an amazing stay at this peaceful cabin in Shaver Lake! It was clean, cozy, and surrounded by beautiful forest. The open layout was perfect for our family, and the large deck over looking the forest was relaxing all times of the day. They even found our child’s stuffed bear lost in the bedding and mailed it back to us right away. Truly above and beyond! Super quiet, comfortable, and just a short drive to town—would definitely stay here again!

Solitude in the Sierras

Enjoyed our stay and wished we had booked more days! Great cabin, fully stocked with everything needed, very clean and comfortable with easy to contact host. We had no issues during our stay and loved that there was enough parking for our boat. 😊

Best time always

My family loved the cabin. We got to enjoy the fire pit, it was close to China peak, went on a hike on its own land. Has its own snow slope when there is snow. Kitchen was fully loaded.

Great family gathering

Our three families gathered for a fun filled weekend at the most perfect cabin for our needs. The only reason I did not give the “accuracy” 5 stars is because the pictures/descriptions in my opinion do not do this place justice. It was absolutely perfect! Exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the sled hill, fire pit and exploring the property. We will definitely be back!

Solitude in the Cedars lived up to it's name!

Solitude in the Cedars lived up to it's name! It provided the snowy winter solitude we needed so much after a busy holiday season! The cabin is spacious yet cozy and the windows looked out to the beautiful Shaver forest with not another cabin in sight. The sled hill was a huge hit with the kids and provided endless entertainment. The host was a delight to work with and we are already planning our next trip!

Home away from home

The house was gorgeous and it was so quiet, have nothing bad to say. All the kids had a blast and the little town was really close. The only thing i would say would be when you are using the gps don't stop when it tells you you need to go further up the road.
