3-Bedroom Townhome in the Heart of Destin ~ Private Beach Access

Southbay by the Gulf 37 a 3 bed/ 2.5 bath townhome. This unit comfortably sleeps 6 with its King, Queen, two Twin singles, and a sleeper sofa . Our units feature private patios to enjoy beautiful views from! Southbay has 2 swimming pools and 2 kiddy pools; we heat the south pool seasonally. If it's tennis that you love, we have that too. Our grounds are made for walking so park at your front door and enjoy a stroll through the property while feeding the birds, fish and turtles. Just a short walk from the beach!

*Complimentary Beach Service Provided (2 Chairs and 1 Umbrella / March - October).

I wouldn’t recommend no one to stay

The couch was dirty, ants in the master bedroom was really bad and their were roaches, the air didn’t work really upstairs

Thrift Store

This townhouse is in a great location with good access to the beach. Pool is really big and nice. The townhouse does not have a strong enough air conditioning system to reach the top floor with the bedrooms so you have to go to sleep sweating. The entire house is filled with disgusting furniture from a thrift store. Couches are sticky and beds are uncomfortable and incredibly old. We had a colony of ants on the trash that was left outside of our place when we arrived and ended up with two cars full of ants after they parked in front on the first night. I wanted to leave early. This place should be gutted and renovated. Not acceptable.

Close to the beach

I would definitely stay again! You have access to a private beach with gate codes. Very family friendly!! Very safe environment!!

Family Vacation

This place was perfect for our little get away. We had 4 teenagers with us and they each had a bed. The pool and beach access were amazing. The outside seating area was perfect for lunch after the pool. We will definitely be back.

Destin Stay

Overall it was a nice stay. A negative for us was that the beds were uncomfortable and I wish there was a TV in the master bedroom. It was slightly outdated but we didn’t go to Destin to sit inside :) the walk to the beach was not bad but further than I thought. Overall I gave it a 4/5 because some of what I am saying is my perspective and others may disagree.

Great location but has some flaws

Great location to the beach and plenty of space for your whole family. The number one issue we had was, the beds were awful. So uncomfortable, almost seemed broken in the middle of multiple beds to where you were sleeping on a hill or on the lump that made the hills. If they improve the beds...it would be awesome.

Restful and Beautiful

We enjoyed being so close to the ocean and having beach service included. We loved being able to cook together and play board games. The house was big enough for five adults!

Not for me

We stayed in this complex, different unit, last year and had a good experience. It is located in a good spot for beach, and activities for my grandchildren.This year we stayed at this unit and was dissapointed. Master bedroom mattress is really bad, all vinyl floors had been vacummed but never washed. The kids feet were black after just a short time. Mildew in washing machine and dishwasher.

Girls trip 2024

We were 4 ladies that come to Destin for a women’s conference. We found this locations fun loved it online. When we got there everything was exactly as it showed in pictures and what it said. We loved the location and the proximity to the beach. It was very clean and very easy to get ahold of anyone for questions. We will def be rebooking this property again!

Made a Switcheroo

The ratings and review are not for the property we originally booked, but for a different property. We were disappointed with the original location, but upon arrival the host graciously allowed us to switch to a different property, which had a nice view of the small bay and was much closer to the beach. The unit was well appointed and we enjoyed our stay.

Family stay

The place was clean, some items not available as stated, location was further from beach then expected, it lacked your general spices, coffee, etc., and for short stays, that's a lot to purchase, forces you to eat out more. It was a good location to dining and other shopping.

Great

I loved the home feeling it gave. And there was already floats and sand toys there that made a world of difference. We had a problem with a bedroom handle and someone came out that day and fixed it. Amazing work!!

Good but not amazing

This was a good place to stay. We could walk to the beach and that was a plus. However, it was not evident when booking that we we booking a townhome-style building.

Comfortable

Property was very nice. Only issues was upstairs bathroom was face bowl sink wouldn't drain, and queen bedrooms doorknobs had trouble opening. Other than that it was perfect.

Not what listing described.

This property is not secluded at all. It is not clean. There's stains all over the furniture. The floors were not mopped. There wasn't enough toilet paper for the amount of people staying. There were not enough utensils to cook with. Pans were dirty. The whisk in the kitchen was covered in rust. The mattress in the master has two huge craters on both sides of it. The umbrella that goes to the table out back is broken, the toilet paper holders were falling off the walls. There's no rugs to wipe your feet when you come in the front door or back door. The place is an apartment complex. That's the best way to describe it. There was a loud barking dog next door. There was no grill, even though they say there are community grills. The complimentary chairs and umbrella they provide you on the beach are literally placed about three feet apart from the next umbrella and chairs. The beach chairs do not recline. Oh and the handle to the laundry room, is falling off. I reported these problems and was told there was nothing I could do but I was welcome to leave the property. The only thing maintenance fixed was the broken toilet seat that I reported. The owner took a long time to respond and didn't answer all my questions. Pictures do not describe the property at all. It is not yellow. It is grey and less than mediocre. I will never ever stay here again. We were all incredibly disappointed with the property and it's location.

Home away from home

Great stay. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pans, utensils. Bedrooms/ bathrooms were very clean and had everything stocked. Pool was nice and very clean. All utilities worked great. All questions we had were answered quickly.
