Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.
A full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters.
Join a complimentary water aerobics class, nature walk or yoga on the beach when scheduled. Whether you wish to spend your time with us on the go or taking it slow, you’re sure to enjoy your new Memories at the Speed of Old Florida.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been visiting Palm Island for 15 years and have loved it more with each passing year! Our villa this year was a repeat from previous years and loved the comfort and familiarity. Super clean, spacious and well equipped to handle our larger than usual group. We always look forward to going back, there really is no place like it!

31 Year annual customers VERY UNHAPPY

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dirty crusted silverware.Broken barstool.Filthy, stained dining room seat covers. Dirty living room area rug. Cracked tile throughout. Dirty, stained carpets,especially upstairs.Mattress in first downstairs bedroom hard as a brick. Has been for over 20 years. So bad caused hip pain for me & my husband. "Our association" pool no longer has shade. Now has 4 umbrellas that have to be shared with the people eating at tables. One was broken and one had a large roach family living in it. Only one belhop during check-in & check-out.Both times, they were young girls so we did not want them liftin anything heavy so we had to load,heavy luggage and tubs onto the golf cart then up three flights of stairs, then did it all again when we checked out.One golf cart had to be fixed three times. The last time we had to push it back from just outside the resort to coconuts, per the direction of staff. Golf cart wires held together by duct tape, not maintained. If you are going to continue to call yourself a resort you need to keep it up and run it as a resort. Each year service and "amenities" go down. However, JEFF WAS FANTASTIC and so was the older gentleman that fixed the umbrella, he was a marine. I don't know how we've never had the pleasure of meeting Jeff in all of our previous stays. The bar should also have a pick up window since you can't go to just the bar area in a bathing suit.Again, this is a beach resort, we were paying $100 a pop for drinks and got scolded by the not so friendly bartender who kicked my niece out because she had on a bathing suit. It is a beach "resort" we live in our bathing suits.

We had a great time the pool, house and beach were great. The staff was very helpful and super pleasant. You could tell that they love their job. Hope to make this an annual get away. Thank you!

Disappointed with the red tide causing the beach to be littered with dead fish & the smell was bad. Luckily the pool is very nice.

Hello Kris, Thank you for taking your time to do this review. I am sorry for the issues with red tide, unfortunately there is no stopping mother nature. Our landscaping team worked extra hard to combat the dead fish on our beaches. I hope you will return and give our beautiful island resort another chance without the red tide issues.

Memorial Day Weekend 2021

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit itself was great. our family has been coming for the last 25+ years. I did notice this year the pool area needed some repairs and the Grills were in HORRIBLE condition. One wouldn't light at all, another only had 3 burners working.

Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing time at Palm Island Resort. The condo was perfect for our family and the view was incredible. We loved the privacy and natural beauty of the beach. Staff members at Coconuts were friendly and super helpful with everything we needed. We enjoyed playing tennis, riding bikes, cruising the island in golf carts, swimming, and especially time at the beach. Dinner at Rum Bay was excellent both times we at there during the week. This was our second trip to Palm Island and we will definitely be back.

Two week summer stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent two wonderful weeks in this unit. We've been coming to Palm Island Resort for over 30 years and we've stayed in this unit at least 3 times, so overall we love our experience and all the beach & pool time with family, the golf cart rides, Rum Bay, etc. The size of the unit and the number of beds make it nice so we can bring family and friends and all stay together. The kitchen is well stocked with pots & pans, lots of silverware, nice refrigerator, etc. Overall the unit is great, but is definitely starting to show some wear and tear - bar stools stained and broken, pocket door to master bath broken and non-functional so we had to use the hallway door as a bathroom door, etc. We reported the broken door to maintenance, so hopefully it will be repaired but it wasn't while we were there. We reserved the unit again for next summer. Looking forward to another great vacation with family.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always have a fantastic time at this resort and make a point to go at least once a year. We are never disappointed. The rates have steadily climbed over the years but we continue to go.This is a place to go if you want to do NOTHING BUT RELAX and have absolutely no guilt.I do have one major complaint. They have recently instituted a new POOL CARD system. You need a card to get into the pool area. I don't understand why this is necessary. You are also required to push a button to get OUT of the pool. This is very awkward if you have your hands full. (The out button is not close to the gate.)The worst part is the fact they you are only given one key card per unit. We had seven adults in our unit and only one card! If someone had taken the card down to the beach, the others could not get into the pool. If your group had gone to the pool and were in the pool, they had to get out of the pool to let you in! Having only one card was quite a nuisance and unacceptable. I actually had to climb over the fence, as a last resort one day. I am 62! and the fence is quite high! Other than this fairly major complaint, we had a wonderful time as usual. One other minor issue... I cannot seem to tell when the rates change. I would think that June would be off-season, but the rates were about the same as when we went in November. I think locals in the off-season should get a bit more of a deal or at least a discount on the golf cart rental. Despite this, we are planning our next visit for this November.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very good vacation. Our group included pre teens to university students as well as parents and grand parents. We all managed to have an excellent vacation. Our unite was spacious; the kitchen had a good layout and it had a pantry/laundry room for storage.The dishes and pots where adequate, however the knifes where very poor. It made cooking a little difficult at times. Also there was not enough dish, dishwasher and laundry soap for the duration of the our visit.All these are minor issues which could be easily fixed. There where plenty of activities for all. Walking and playing on the beach, swimming, tennis and kayaking are easy to do from the unit. We had an excellent vacation.

Condos were also rented by my two brothers and sister as we had a week long family reunion. Our condo was nice although the comfort of the beds was disappointing. The kitchen and bathrooms were excellent. The pool experience was excellent particularly with the cabana. The six seat golf cart was fun although it ran sluggishly at times. The ocean view was excellent. The capability to get off the island to do other things was appreciated. The tarpon fishing and flat boat fishing were fun. The seven nights for the price of five nights seemed like a good value. Dinner at Rum Bay was good. Check-in was hectic with several families checking in at the same time. I look forward to our next visit.

Tropical Nights 2017

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our unit was clean and spacious; and the furniture was comfortable, functional current. The view was amazing from multiple places throughout the condo. The only issue the entire stay was the refrigerator. It must be replaced before our return next year. The maintenance man from Palm Island said we put too much stuff in it and so it could not get cold. Which was somewhat insulting. Finally, a refrigeration service technician came out and gave the true story. Bottom line the refrigerator needs to be replaced with the same size but maybe a better brand.
