Island Sky is the perfect waterfront getaway, a charming cottage perched just off Mount Desert Island in Trenton. This home has it all. Two decks to choose from, a spacious and comfortable living room with sweeping water views, and the mountains of Acadia in the distance. Enjoy swimming and kayaking during high tide, or drive into the park for some hiking. Finish your day enjoying spectacular views from the comfort of Island Sky!

FIRST FLOOR: Bright kitchen with everything for your cooking needs. Closet with washer/dryer. Bathroom with a shower. Kitchen opens into a spacious living room with sweeping water views, plentiful and comfortable seating, and a large flat screen television.

SECOND FLOOR: Spacious bedroom with King bed, AC unit, ceiling fan, and a small closet.

OUTDOOR SPACES: Two decks, one facing the driveway with seating for two. Larger water-facing deck with a gas grill, and a table with seating for two. Just off the deck is a grassy lawn with plentiful outdoor seating. Babbling brook nearby and a path down to the water with easy access for swimming or kayaking.

PLEASE NOTE: This waterfront is tidal and is dry at low tide, so plan any water activity accordingly.

NOTE: AC in the living room and 2nd-floor bedroom. Please let us know in advance if you need the high chair, pack'n'play, or baby gate.

This place was gorgeous. It was very clean, had an incredible view, cozy bedroom, and overall the perfect location for going in and out of Bar Harbor/Acadia and exploring the mainland as well. It was tucked away and private, right on the water. We loved it here and would absolutely stay again!

Island Sky is a great property for 2 people who desire privacy, relaxation & exploring MDI & ANP. Property was excellently maintained, clean & well stocked w/ essentials. Very comfortable both inside & outside. Would def consider staying there again.

This is a beautiful little cottage by the ocean inlet, it was very clean and very comfortable we love staying here. It was close to getting groceries and Acadia and Bar Harbor was about 20-25 minutes away. Would definitely go here again without any second thoughts.

What a lovely getaway. Perfect location to reach any area of the island including Schoodic Peninsula. Though our mornings were foggy, it was enjoyable to still sit and drink coffee on the porch. House was super clean and so adorable with so many cute touches. Hosts were easy to contact. We will definitely look to stay again next year! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The location, which was great, was off the main road and down a gravel road but felt like your own little peninsula. The cottage was pretty and well stocked. The views were beautiful. Just be aware that the bedroom is on the second floor and the bathroom, which is nice but small is on the first floor, if that might be an issue. We appreciated that there was a solo stove and wood was easy to buy in the area. We had a firepit on numerous nights. It was a very relaxing stay with many things to do in the area.

We had a wonderful time. The cottage proved to be far beyond our expectations. It is very clean and beautifully decorated. We looked forward to returning there each evening after our daytime outings. We would definitely enjoy staying there again!

Our favorite place!

This was the nicest place we have ever stayed. Everything about it was perfection: the view, the decor, the amenities, kitchen supplies, extra pillows on the bed, extra blankets in the house, in addition to being spotlessly clean. We would love to stay here every year.

Perfect, Clean Cottage by the Water

House is wonderfully located, clean, and well stocked. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. One of the cleanest and well kept VRBOs we have stayed at. Enjoyed our first time in Maine!

This was our second stay at Island Sky and we were so glad to be back! This cottage is so lovely, well appointed and comfortable. It’s close to all the attractions that Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor have to offer but just off the beaten path enough to provide peace and quiet. Watching the sunrise from the deck is an amazing way to start your day! We had a wonderful visit and hope to return again next year.

Acadia retreat

Enjoyed the location, the proximity to the park, and the privacy of this rental. No more than a 30 drive to anywhere on the island. We would highly recommend this property.

First time in Acadia/Bar Harbor

We couldn’t have been more pleased with this charming property. It was a great place to start our day and unwind at night after exploring Acadia/ Bar Harbor/MDI. This beautifully renovated property is perfect for a couple seeking privacy, serene views and relaxation! We will definitely be back!!

Island Sky is magical

This may be the most relaxing place in the world. The view is to die for and the cottage includes everything one could ever need. This is our second trip and we feel so fortunate to be able to stay in this wonderful cottage.

Great Little Place

We had a wonderful stay at Island Sky! The property had beautiful water views and great amenities! We also enjoyed the sound of the little creek that runs along the side of the property. You are close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia(about 15 minutes) and there are a lot of lobster pounds very near by!😁😍 We truly enjoyed our stay!

The property wss centralky located yet off the main road to be quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the outdoor deck a lot and the views were excellent. This waz a true couple location that we appreciated.

Perfection!

This cottage is all that it seems and more! It’s very clean, vey well appointed with everything that you could need and so comfortable. It was really like coming home at the end of the day. It’s centrally located to all that the area has to offer. We enjoyed our stay and plan on returning in the future!

Bar harbor get away

We were so happy to find Island Sky for a last minute trip. The house was so cozy with amazing water views! Great for bird watching. House was beautifully decorated. One set back was the one bathroom was on the first floor and the bedroom was upstairs. Great cottage for 2 people!

Lovely rental, very clean beautiful views of water. Only complaint is no a/c unit downstairs and it got very warm, humid feeling during day. Easy access to all the areas.
