Sirenita is the little mermaid. La Sirenita Hideaway, the ultimate beach house is named for the hideaway of the little mermaid. So close to the ocean that you can just imagine this home as a hide out for mermaids. How fun! A bit of whimsy and delight for young and old alike. Have fun with this on your vacation here. Where the subtle breezes can sometimes sound like the voices of the mermaids singing the sailors to their doom. The legends are many and all tell the tales of many mermaids who lived in the sea causing havoc to the sailors coming to shore. Can you close your eyes and visualize this? Maybe you will have some stories of your own after your exciting vacation here at La Sirenita! The home has been totally and tastefully redone and is as comfortable as it is beautiful. The electric fireplace makes for a romantic evening while warming the home with a sensual glow that gives warmth and coziness throughout the room. The room with the sofa bed is wonderful as a separate children's room or as a retreat for the men to watch that critical football game while not disturbing the ambiance of others. Balconies offering straight on views of the marshes. Alive with activity from all the beautiful and exotic native birds such as the Roseate Spoonbill, brilliant pink in color, the Wood Stork, tall stately Blue Heron and more, all who nest and feed in the marsh grasses here. Did you know that the island is a bird sanctuary? This home will speak to you if you have any interest or even just enjoy bird watching! Well furnished with books and games of all kinds for all ages. Indoor games, outdoor games and a beach just a short walk away that has miles of sandy shore for strolls any time of day. Look for shells of all kinds, take a swim, relax on a beach blanket and dream the day away. Take in a deep breath and enjoy the salt sea air, so healthy for you. No pollution, no traffic, just clean salt air to clear your lungs and the sound of the ocean waves against the shore line to clear your mind and refresh your soul. A solid place for a spiritual makeover leaving all of your stresses behind.
The public boat ramp is just around the corner and perfect for launching your Kayak or boat, which you can tow behind your vehicle and leave in the driveway when you are not out exploring the waterways. It is also a beautiful place to take an evening stroll which will provide a gorgeous view of the Matanzas River. Ocean, River, at La Sirenita you will experience both.
Butler Beach is just a tad south of the City of St Augustine Beach. Mostly a residential community, Butler Beach is a quieter section of beach that has a more gentle and relaxing vibe. But don't let that fool you. There are shops to enjoy and restaurants that will tantalize your taste buds, all very close by! You will find miles upon miles of pristine beach and sandy shores to explore and discover natural treasures. Sand dunes covered in Sea Oats, and Seagulls and Pelicans flying overhead are all here to make your vacation more special than any before.
The upper balcony is perfect for cocktails in the evening or coffee and tea in the mornings. In the evening you will enjoy picturesque sunset views of the marshland as you relax on the comfy patio furniture or gather around the gas fire table. Also on the second balcony is a cozy sitting area and a nearby kitchen for prepping and serving.
You can walk to the beach but you will need a car for exploring and grocery shopping, or perhaps a trip to historic downtown. If you would like, beach passes are available to use for driving on the beach. They are sold at the little kiosks that are at the entry on to each of the beaches. what a fun thing to do as you can cover quite a distance and see the whole shoreline! St Augustine is amazing with so many beautiful places to see and historic points of interest to check out. A car is necessary to get the full picture of this amazing city. La Sirenita also offers you a beach cart to easily take all of your beach accessories down to the ocean. Follow the rules and enjoy! You can't help but have a fun vacation here!

Please know that we welcome your dogs, 2 only please and 60 pounds and under for each dog. There is a fee of 150.00 for one dog and 250.00 total for two dogs. All pet fees are nonrefundable. We want you to feel at home here at La Sirenita, and one can always do that better when man's best friend is accompanying. So let us know ahead of time and include your pups here with you on vacation. They will love the ocean and their time on vacation with you. Fun for the whole family.
You must be at least 25 years of age in order to make a reservation. The person who makes the reservation must occupy the residence for the duration of the reservation.
