Ever been somewhere and felt instantly at peace the moment you entered? Our little slice of paradise is perfect for that zen getaway, relaxing retreat with family or friends, or simply a place for you to recoup, recharge and renew.

Our home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Our linens are soft and fluffy, our mattresses are plush and comfy! Fast Wifi available for your WFH needs and movie nights.

Guests enjoy sweeping views of the water from every room of our peaceful designer retreat. Watch the seals swim by, the eagles soaring high, hang out by the beach, then whip up a delicious dinner in our chef's kitchen! Check out Vashon Island's amazing bakeries, coffee shops, wineries, restaurants and outdoor trails! You'll find yourself falling for the sweet life on Vashon Island!

New Year on the Water

We enjoyed cozy fires and water life views in this unique beach house. Accommodations were perfect for my family! Lovely kitchen, loved the views from every room...even in mixed PNW weather. Best part was looking for shells, crabs, and seastars at low tide. Great place!

Not so Zen

First off, the listing should be more specific so that guests are well AWARE that this is a WALK IN property. I don't live on Vashon Island and we had no idea this was a walk in property. So after driving for 12 hours we then learn we have to wheel barrow all of our stuff, including wrapped Christmas presents in the dark, rain and wind. Also the house smelled really bad, just like someone was living there, not at all like cleaning products. Secondly, I sent a message to the property management asking them where we should park, BEWARE the parking sucks here and there are not even enough spots for all the cars that are there. Third, I sent the property management a message about how filthy the house was. The floors were dirty in every single area, corner, etc. The rug was covered in wood material from the fire place which was a mess as well. The sheets in the master bedroom had not been changed. You could clearly see where someone had slept in them, the pillow had wrinkles where they laid their head. So, we then had to wash the bedding. The couch was gross, it had dog hair all over it and stunk. We washed the blankets around the house to cover the couch in so that we would sit on it. Oh and the only TV is in the living room. They did not respond for 2 days and the response was that the house had been cleaned that day. Our reservation was through 1/1/25, we left a day early. We do visit Vashon a few times a year and we will NEVER rent from that rental company again.

A well-equipped house with an unbeatable view

We live on-island and had family in town so we booked this house on the water to accommodate everyone. This house was well-equipped for cooking insofar as cooking utensils. Be sure to bring your own necessities, like oil, salt, and sugar. It was very comfortable—beds and bedding—and there were climate controls in each room. You’ll want to buy some firewood in town for the crazy wood stove. Very clean. Amazing views. Great showers. We would stay here again.

How do I get In the Front Door?!?!?!

What a horrible experience. There's nothing worse than dealing with people who make excuses and don't own up to their mistakes. Well maybe one of the things that is worse is traveling all day with young kids, nearing your destination, still not having heard anything about the entry process into your rental. Then arriving at your destination and being locked out for over an hour, all the while having hungry kids screaming. Check-in is at 4 PM, I started sending out messages around 3PM, and didn't hear anything until after 5PM. Once I actually spoke to the manager I was told "I thought I left the door unlocked." And in my inbox, I got another excuse: "I thought you were going to use the app to get in." Both of these EXCUSES are garbage. I'm not a psychic. How would I know how to get in if I didn't get a single message about it?!?! The place was clean and nice, but be prepared to bring all of your own cooking ingredients. There's no cooking oil or salt. Really... you can't provide some cooking oil or salt?!?! Just a horrible experience. Management is extremely poor.

Quiet beach-side retreat

The vacation cottage was well appointed and right next to the beach. The weather was perfect during out stay.

Well equipped home

Convenient to Tacoma ferry and not far from town. Beautiful view and mostly rocky beach steps out the door. Spiral staircase to a gorgeous master bedroom upstairs. Downstairs bedroom and large bath is a full size bed. A little tight for two people . Suggest to bring lawn chairs for the front patio. Dogs must be leashed outdoors. Overall a friendly and very nice stay!

Honeymoon Stay

Such a beautiful view with quick access to the beach right outside the front door. There was coffee which was a big plus for me and all the appliances we needed. We could hear the water as we slept and it was very peaceful. Parking got slightly tricky when we had friends over but the neighborhood overall was very friendly and had no problems.

Birthday weekend on the beach

This house was beautiful, comfortable and made it easy to cook for two young families. When the power went out briefly, the owners were very quick to respond and the trip was a delight start to finish!

Lives up to its name very Zen

Amazing views and beautiful interior. The view can be seen from practical every room. The beds were so comfortable along with the coziest of bedding. The kitchen was amazing. We watched seals swimming out front of the house and lots of ducks. It was so relaxing. Hosts answered all our questions.

Waterfront Bliss

Beautiful property, right on the water. Upstairs master bedroom has spectacular view of the water and surrounding area. Very clean, great kitchen plus dog friendly.

Zen Perfection!!

Amazing peaceful stay! We saw otters, seals, eagles and the view was perfect! It felt like we were on the water, we were so close. The house is wonderful- bright and clean!
