Great experience

Very roomy house that can comfortably accommodate a big crew. Location was convenient to the USCGA. Best part was the host who was extremely responsive and helpful.

Reunion

Stayed here with a couple buddies while attending a reunion. We each had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. Absolutely fantastic.

Wonderful Stay

Jose and Stefanie were great hosts. When we had an issue arise they were quick to fix it. The communication was great and the location of the property was perfect being so close to the beach.

Family Vacation

Everything was wonderful love how close we were to everything especially the beach,Mystic and Mohegan Sun. House big enough for everyone we had 11 people 5 being children and house was perfect. Owner was always in contact with us. Highly recommend staying here.

A terrific family vacation spot!! Everything accessible, awesome property management. The ONLY reason it is not full 5 stars is I thought some of the rooms were bigger, that’s all. So close to the beach, restaurants, shopping Mystic. Thank you very much for a great week!!!!

Family gathering for a celebration of life

The house was clean, well stocked, with roomy bedrooms and beds and comfy common/dining rooms. Owner was very welcoming and helpful. Only complaint is with Vrbo and the difficulty of the on line experience. Please fix your access to be easier to understand and use.

Girl Trip

The property was perfect for our group of 3 women. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed (we like to cook) and the location was in a quiet neighborhood. The property would also be ideal for a large family group.

Connecticut trip

We rented José’s place to visit my nephew, who is in the Navy. The place was clean, spacious, and very accommodating. We loved it! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone. Thanks José!!

Lovely property/Great Location

This property is just lovely. It served well our family of 7 adults and 2 children. Plenty of room and great accomodations. The location is wonderful. Very short drive to Ocean Beach and Harkness State Park which, is not to be missed. Many thanks to our host(s) who was/were very responsive if we needed anything.

We had a group of 10 stay here for a girl’s weekend. There was so much space for all of us to spread out and enjoy ourself! The house was very clean and the owners were very responsive to questions. I would stay here again.

Great property to use to visit Mystic & surrounding area's

Nice quiet neighborhood. Plenty of bedrooms, really great comfy beds, & 3 bathrooms! WONDERFUL!!! Large dining room table where you all can gather for meals. The very best guide book of how the house works, places to eat & general information that was so nice to know, not being from around there. Welcome snacks, a very nice touch! Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking to visit UConn, the navel academy or the Mystic Seaport area.

PERFECT house in New London!

Coast Guard Academy Football Family here and this house is one of the best we have stayed in over the last 3 years. Love the location and how cozy and well stocked the house is! Perfect for a larger family or multiple couples staying together. The only drawback is the stairs if you have older folks in your group or anyone with mobility issues.

Girls Weekend

Our overall experience was amazing! Host is very responsive with all questions you have. The house was so clean and such an amazing getaway with friends! This house is in such a great spot being so close to mystic and the beach! Highly Recommend!!!

Great location

We were in town for a wedding at Eolia Mansion. Great location for the purpose. The house suited our family of 7 plus 2 pups. Nice porch and yard to spread out in. Enjoyed taking walks to the beach and biking to Harkness Park. Jose was readily available for any questions and concerns.

Family reunion

We had groups of family members coming and going all week. We flew in from Wisconsin, the house was amazing and had everything we needed! From beach towels, passes, toys, chairs, etc. Everyone not only loved the spaciousness of the house, but also the back yard and the closeness of the beautiful beach.

Wedding in New London

For 9 people and 2 dogs, this home was perfect! My family was gathering for a family wedding in New London at Connecticut College, and this home was ideal! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the host was extremely communicative....he responded immediately to all of our questions with kindness and courtesy! We would definitely stay here again if in the New London area...

Cleanliness of Property

Family Weekend

We had an amazing weekend in New London. The house was spotless, comfortable and well maintained with plenty of room for four adults and 7 kids ages 8-14. The yard was lovely and the home was well stocked with kitchen and bath items as well as beach chairs and toys. We were a quick ride from Mystic and Ocean Beach was a great way to spend the day. On the second morning, the thermostat wasn't working and the owner replied immediately to my text and helped us get it figured out. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing time away.

Great Stay!

This very cute home was in such a great location, for our needs! Communication from the hosts was wonderful!! The fact that we could bring our dogs was a huge selling point and we remain thankful for that opportunity! There were only two “issues” but, they were on our end. 1. The backyard wasn’t fully fenced, so we had to take our fur babies out using a leash. Obviously, if our dogs hadn’t joined us, it would not have been an issue! 2. We feared for the safety of our little senior dog (a deaf and nearly blind, 9 lb Yorkie) because the wrought iron banisters, surrounding the stairwell, didn’t extend all the way down to the floor. We were worried he’d slip under them and severely injure himself, so we devised a way to block off that area. Again, if we hadn’t brought our Little Man, it wouldn’t have been an issue. All in all, we are grateful to have had such a great place to stay! If we ever find ourselves back in New London, we will want to book this home!

Great value, just needs a little attention

My family had a great time at the Beech Hut! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need, the dining room can hold 10 people with available folding chairs, and the deck outside has some great new features not on the listing. The living room was comfy and spacious, and almost all of the beds incredibly comfortable! The downstairs family room was perfect for our needs, as was the bunk room and all three bathrooms. Plenty of linens and supplies on site for a great stay. The beach passes save you a ton of money, and the street it is on is very quiet! There were a few items that just need attention by the property owner, which may have already been addressed as I’m writing this. The first is that the whole house A/C had a bad thermostat that turned off after 7pm. There were two window units to support the old whole house A/C unit, but that only works if you leave the bedroom doors open at night (not ideal with a family of 10). In addition there are no A/C vents in the downstairs large bedroom, the only way to get A/C is to leave the door open to the family room. Second, the dryer in the basement does not vent correctly, which results in so much steam in that bathroom that the ceiling was raining. There are no vents in the bathrooms, so after showers and such they were very humid for a long time. This property is a great value for a family of up to 10, and it clearly being updated over time by the owner, just needs that final little push!

Last year we decided it was time to make a permanent base to explore the region from. We purchased this home in the spring of 2022 and have been enjoying and working on it ever since. Our goal is to have groups and families come here and relax like we do. Whether its hopping the shore towns of this coast line or just soaking up the sun at Ocean Beach Park we truly hope your stay here is everything it can be.

We absolutely love the southern section of New London. It's quiet yet alive. It's peaceful and sleepy yet close to everything. You'll see there's so much to do here and that you are in the best place to enjoy it all. You are right down the street from Ocean Beach Park, Ocean Beach is amazing in the summer. A short drive to great locations like Downtown New London, Mystic, Niantic, Westerly, and Mohegan Sun, all of these make great day trips. This home is also located just a short distance from Mitchell College, Connecticut College and the United States Coast Guard Academy, which would make it perfect for any family visit.

We love this home because it allows us to share it with our loved ones. We have had 12 here, 6 adults and 6 children very comfortably. Our big Dining room table and oversized picnic table allows everyone to have a seat. The 3 full baths make getting ready a breeze.
