Our family of 4 plus my Son’s Service Dog, were very comfortable in this lovely cabin. We enjoyed quiet evenings in the hot tub and cooking dinner after a full day Yosemite. Everything we needed to cook and relax was waiting for us at this fantastic three bedroom home!!!

Cozy cabin

We had a wonderful time at this cabin/house in Mariposa. It was ideal for our family and quiet and loved sitting in the hot tub at night !

Fantastic getaway

Very Cozy and quiet place to stay outside of Yosemite National Park. Well stocked kitchen and very pet friendly. Nighttime star gazing in the hot tub is highly recommended. Would stay here again!

Stay at Yosemite

Overall, we had a wonderful time there. The description of the property was as we expected and travel time to groceries and to Yosemite National Park was as described. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the time spent with family, especially in the hot tub.

What a wonderful place to relax after a day in a Yosemite. This home was clean, comfortable and even had some extras like snacks and dog treats.

Cozy Cabin Review

The property was wonderful, we enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion would be to get new sheets/pillow cases & pillows for all bedrooms and have some extra blankets handy.

Visiting YOSEMITE

3 night stay with first time visit for my son and his girlfriend to Yosemite. Beautiful place very relaxing with great amenities except for long drives into park. The owners were very polite and timely with any questions.

Family Vacation

The cabin was fabulous. Cozy, warm and very comfortable. The games out front were an added bonus. The cabin is located about 35 miles from the entrance to Yosemite NP. We had a wonderful time and the host Courtney was accommodating, flexible, kind, and helpful. Highly recommend the cabin to family and friends and wld stay there again!

Better than advertised

If you are someone that is very busy and doesn’t have time for continual follow up and have high expectations, this place is for you. This place is everything I was looking for and more. It was better than advertised and I had every single thing I needed. The hosts are superb and probably the best I have ever dealt with. I will be coming back if they will have me.

Mariposa Memories

The property was well kept and had all the amenities our family needed. We cooked all meals at the house and enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen. In the evenings we enjoyed the hot tub and gas fire pit. We wanted to be somewhat close to Yosemite and Bass Lake. We also lucked out and was able to enjoy the Mariposa fair one day. The house felt private and it was also very quiet all day long. We enjoyed hiking nearby and one evening walked the Best Road loop right from the house.

Our stay was lovely and enjoyable. Communication with the hosts was immediate and clear, with info just what was needed.That being said, the 4 star reflects a few shortcomings. I had to sweep the deck and clean the outside furniture to use- at least a pushbroom should be provided. But the hot tub under the tall trees and stars was wonderful!Cobwebs should have been removed. Showerhead and all faucets should not be loose, especially in the bath used by children. The kitchen is delightful; More flatware, sugar for coffee and adequate cocoa powder needed. Still, glad we found this place.

A place far far away

Large property fully fenced and dog friendly. Cabin is rustic with all the amenities. The hot tub is awesome. If you are looking for a place far from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. This criticism is for Vrbo: I feel there was some deception involved in describing and hiding the true location. It was over an hours drive to either the west or the south entrance to Yosemite. The address of Mariposa is also deceiving. We could have been warned of the significant delays to the final approach due to construction from last years fire which looked devastating and heartbreaking. Also, it was very remote and there were concerning gunshots heard-sometimes after dark (which wouldn’t have been hunters.)

What an incredibly unfair and unkind review. When you give a poor rating for your stay, it doesn't hurt vrbo, it hurts the homeowner. I strongly suspect that your issue is with using the app as there is no deception or hiding the location of our home. Our home IS located in Mariposa; to say otherwise would be deceiving. It doesn't take us or other guests over an hour to drive the described 35 miles to either the Arch Rock Entrance or the South Gate. As far as the forest you drive through for less than five minutes that was burned two years ago...I don't even know what to say to that. Our neighborhood was completely unaffected by the fire and you can't even see it from our home as it's miles away. I don't know how remote you can call something that's ten minutes from two stores and a gas station, as well as being a short drive from downtown Mariposa. In regards to gunshots after dark, our neighborhood is very nice and has multiple million dollar homes. To characterize it as a dangerous neighborhood is deceptive. I don't know what you imagined you heard - maybe a car's backfire? regardless, our home is accurately described, beautifully situated, completely safe and lovingly maintained. It's our family's retreat and was thoughtfully purchased for the location in the Sierra National Forest and gorgeous drive to the national park. We enjoy sharing our special place with other travelers and find your review both puzzling, unfair and just really untrue. I hope prospective renters can see past this odd assessment of our beloved home.
