Riverside Manna, "Gateway to Beautiful Yosemite Valley" Modern 3bd/2 ba cottage

Nestled in the Sierras this charming 3 bedroom 2 bath cottage offer plenty to do. Sound of Chowchilla river flowing back of the house make you feel so relaxed. The main living area has a cozy setting that every one can enjoy the fire place and watch TV. Open kitchen will give you room to make your favorite dish at ease. All the utensils are in place and for your convenience & the cabinets have been labeled. Free WiFi and only Verizon cell service will work at the house. Patio has a charcoal BBQ for all your BBQ needs. Guests can enjoy sitting at the picnic bench and watch occasional Deer and Turkey walk through the back yard.

Master bedroom has a king bed with an attached toilet, 2nd bedroom has queen bed and the 3rd room has a twin size bed and a twin bunk bed for the kids. Guest can enjoy the open floor plan of the house. Walking to the river it is short walk down the hill in the back yard. It is a great place to relax, listening to the water flow. During the winter months, warm up with the wood burning stove and standard gas heating at the house. Some winters there will be 1 to 2 inches of snow. For all the shooting enthuses there is a free shooting rang couple of minutes’ drive towards the national forest. It is a nice drive and also you can enjoy the beautiful views of the mountain range.
The property is located between Mariposa and Oakhurst town close to Hwy 49. Mariposa is a historic town and the house is located 25 minutes away from the property. The town has wonderful restaurants & bars. You could visit the Museum & Historic Center, California State Mining & Mineral Center, Zip line and Aerial Adventure parks and also can visit the Mariposa County Old Stone Jail while you are there. You will find interesting shopping, including antiques and western/cowboy themed memorabilia.  
From this mountain getaway, you can easily explore Yosemite valley, Mariposa Gold Country, and the Wild and Scenic Merced River. It is about a hour drive to the Yosemite park entrance. Choose from so many activities: hike Yosemite's spectacular trails, take a leisurely bike ride or float on a raft through Yosemite Valley in the Merced river and backpacking.

The house and the location was good. The cleaners were still there at our checkin time and remained for an hour after. That was tough after driving for 10 hours. The remotes needed batteries before we coiuld watch the TV . Other than that it was a good stay.

This spot was perfect for our Yosemite trip! The house was clean and very nice. The little river out back was super peaceful and a great place sit in the evening. All of the amenities in the house were awesome as well. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!!!

Our experience here wasn't horrible, but the place needs a good deep cleaning. When we contacted the host about smoke alarms being gone and the cleaning issues, he did send maintenance over unannounced to replace smoke detectors. When I asked for a partial payment refund of cleaning fee, I was attacked by the host. I was accused of blackmail and exploitation - he was completely over the top and very confrontational. I will end it there.

The place is very comfortable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The back garden is very beautiful, and the sound of the river with the fireside seating was very romantic.

Kitchen sink is in need of repair. Need indirect lightening in bedrooms for reading. Lamps on end tables would be good. Could add soap, shampoo and conditioner in bathrooms. Need kitchen linens . Kitchen was well stocked. We found one wine glass broken and we accidentally broke another one. Sorry. Beds were good. We were too busy to use outdoor amenities but it looked good. Maybe upgrade outdoor chairs.

Yosemite Hike

Short trip to Yosemite NP. The house was amazing! Beautiful, spacious, clean, comfortable, welcoming, and great location are just a few descriptions. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend-5 stars!

Perfect spot for a short getaway

California vacation

House was as advertised; super cute and surrounded by nature. A large wild turkey visited us in the driveway! Instructions were clear and easy to understand

Great vacation home for Yosemite.

This great house is good for a family vacation. It’s very comfortable but lacking some kitchen supplies and pots and pans. It’s only an hour and a half drive to Yosemite valley. No live TV but Hulu or Netflix is available but we didn’t use it.

Our 3 day stay at this property !! When we arrived 10pm that night ( myself and my two daughters ) my wife said something hit the door of the property ? We looked into it and it was fruit ! Confused we continued unloading our car and settling into the house immediately met with black spiders in the bathroom and floors ( we found 3 a day at least ) owner needs to have pest control !!! That morning 2nd day noticed trash strung all over the back yard thinking the neighbors left it out we starting loading up the car for our day. On the way out we noticed trash all over the side of the yard and front yard , back yard ! A bear had broken into the trash storage and strung trash all over the property about 6 bags worth of trash in total !! I immediately called and texted the owner about the situation and that food had hit our door during the night of our arrival ! So glad we didn’t get attacked while unloading our car ( so scary ) so we left for the day :) we came back at 9pm trash still everywhere, my daughter were so scared to get out of the car because of the thought of a bear lurking !! I checked the area and nothing was there so we all went in the house not daring to come out. The third night still trash all over the property texted owner again no response for 12 hours , skunks started showing up which was fun ( no thank you ) trash was never cleaned up , 5 people staying for 3 days 5 towels to shower need more Lenin ! 1500 deposit 3 weeks to return WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN

First of all deposit you mentioned that i do not hold VRBO has their own guide lines when to return. Bear issue was something new. I did report to park rangers because that could be a problem for the neighborhood. Guest did say the garbage was taken out of the bins and spread around the property. I tried to get the cleaning person but he was out of town that day to come. Clean the same day guests were leaving. This is not the city hotel can expect the wild life to come around. I have taken some action to mitigate the issue. I have not heard about the bear again.

Riverside Manna

The riverside manna was very clean! Beds were soft, lots of extra blankets, plenty of cook ware. The surrounding area was beautiful. The creek was a short walk and was great to sit and listen to. One afternoon while in the creek a bear did come within 10 ft from us. He was not aggressive but that was scary. The creek is beautiful though. Everything was great. The host has great communication skills.

It was a nice home. There were 7 adults and we each had a bed. Anything over we believe someone would be sleeping on the couch. The view was lovely out the back door. Lots of curvy roads to get to the location.

The property was really nice, clean, and well maintained. It was very spacious and well furnished. We were able to walk down to the river / creek behind the property and spend some quality time there. Even saw flocks of turkey wandering about that was quite fun for the kids! The host also called us the first day to make sure we were settled in and that was quite nice. Plenty of shopping and dining options at a 5-7 min drive so we didnt really have to worry about food at any time. Overall a 5/5 experience and we wouldnt mind staying there again when we visit Yosemite next time.

Needed better cleaning on vents and fans throughout the rental. Newer kitchen cookware - pans are needed. Missing blinds in kitchen sliding door. Location is ok so long as you are aware of the travel time required to get to the different entrances to Yosemite. Overall the stay was ok. Paul is very responsive.
