Situated on a large fully-hedged in corner lot, is Hart house. Formerly owned by 1950's Hollywood actor Teddy Hart, the namesake of our home, and who’s movie poster you can find in our living room. This single-level stunner will give you all the Palm Springs feels. Enjoy this fully restored 3brdm / 3 full bath home with unobstructed views for days from almost anywhere on the property of iconic San Jacinto Mountains.

Upon entering you will notice the smart layout, stained concrete floors and eclectic mix of vintage and contemporary furniture that make Hart house the perfect backdrop for your next gathering with family and friends. The open concept and indoor/outdoor flow, cater to hosting and entertaining multiple people.

The kitchen & living room are central to the home and feature large sliders/windows that look out both east to the backyard saltwater pool and southwest upon the mountains. There is a dedicated workspace in the second bedroom if you are working from home. The 3rd bedroom & full bathroom are located opposite the other two bedrooms and adjacent to the kitchen, providing extra privacy. The custom-built kitchen is fully stocked and easy to maneuver. Cookware, all stainless-steel appliances, unique cabinetry and solid cement countertops make this a standout among others. Virtually every room in the house has its own door to the pool. The convenient outdoor shower is perfect after a swim in the 8ft deep Saltwater pool. The KitchenAid Grill makes BBQing a breeze.

Hook up your RV for extra convenience in our ample RV parking. Fits RVs up to 22'.
The private oversized front yard is the perfect place to gather after a fun day exploring Palm Springs.
Located just two blocks from Ruth Hardy Park which is great for dogs, Yoga, Bike riding and Tennis.

Other things to note:
POOL HEATING: Heating the pool for your visit is optional. Please let us know at least 24hours in advance if you would like to choose this option. Heating is typically not needed from June to October.

EXTENDED STAYS: On rentals of 28+ nights there is no city bed tax. The renter is responsible for the entire gas/electric bills from check-in to check-out, based on meter reads. A $1000 utility deposit, in addition to the security deposit, will be taken to guarantee payment.

TAX NOT INCLUDED: Per the City of Palm Springs, all short-term vacation rentals are responsible for collecting an ADDITIONAL city occupancy tax (TOT) of 11.5% per rental + 1% (new TBID tax as of July 2021). The tax goes to the City and will be calculated after booking and collected via Airbnb before check-in.

MINIMUM AGE: Minimum rental age for all guests is 25.
Check-in time is 3pm, check-out is 11am. Early check-in and/or late check-out may be available upon request.

NOISE: This is not a party house. There is a strict city ordinance related to noise:
- no amplified music can be heard at ANY TIME at the property limit,
- no noise at all outside after 10pm (pool can be used in silence)

A call from the neighbors to the City will bring the Vacation Rental Compliance Officers to your door. They may issue you a citation if you exceed the allowed noise levels or if another violation is observed.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: Per city ordinance, maximum of 3 cars and 6 overnight guests. 4 additional day-time guests

AIR CONDITIONING: Electricity is very expensive in Palm Springs. During the summer months, please do not set the Air Conditioning below 73°F and close the doors and windows at all times when AC is on.

HOUSE MAINTENANCE:
- Pool maintenance: Tuesdays and Fridays
- Garden maintenance: Mondays

SECURITY DEPOSIT: The amount returned is conditional upon all terms of the rental agreement being met (examples: violations of the non smoking policy, maximum occupancy limits, abusing air conditioning, no party policy...). Tenants are liable for all replacements and repairs that are outside what is considered normal wear and tear and will be taken from their deposit.

IMPORTANT: The city requires an additional written contract which you will be left next to the guestbook for you to fill out once you arrive. The city also requires that renters supply a copy of their government issued ID and license plate numbers of personally owned vehicles.

Please note: All legitimate, licensed vacation rentals in the Coachella Valley follow city-wide vacation rental laws to remain in business. These include occupancy limits, good neighbor policies, party-free homes, no outdoor music permitted, minimum age requirements, and a contract signed by the renter.

Wonderful Stay!

My friends and I had a great trip staying at this property. The house/yard was very clean, nice, well maintained and the host Gabriella, was super responsive/helpful every time I reached out to her. I would definitely recommend this listing to any friends or family traveling to Palm Springs.
