Experience the Blue Ridge Mountains atop Bent Mountain. Views of the Roanoke Valley and the Blue Ridge Parkway stretch over 100 miles. Miles of horse and hiking trails right out your back door. The cabin is part of a 450-acre farm and is very private offering a mountainous serene setting. Furnished with period antiques and luxurious linens and bedding. Cozy up to the outdoor stone fireplace and lay back for star gazing. Only 25 minutes to fine dining, entertainment, and the Roanoke Regional Airport.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The attention to detail in keeping the restoration true with the amenity upgrades. Just a wonderful property to explore and serve as a quiet place to relax. the host was also very great to work with.

“Best cabin on the mountain”

The Overlook Cabin was so much better than we expected. The property is extremely quiet and the view is incredible. The cabin is very old but very comfortable and nicely decorated. There are numerous wineries in the area and great food nearby. Communication with the owner was great. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect!

This is hands down the best place we have stayed! As soon as we pulled up we were amazed at the location and the view. The house and the property is just perfect! We had a light snowfall that made it even more dreamy. We can't wait to go back!

Birthday celebration

We celebrated my Mother’s 80th birthday with a trip to the surrounding area. The cabin was great with a fantastic view. The only downside was both bathrooms and bedrooms were on the second floor. This was a little challenging for a couple of the guests. We were able to get up the steep gravel drive in a minivan. It was a little difficult when wet, but no problems when the road dried out. The area was quiet and very peaceful. I would stay at the cabin again.

Just What We Needed

Overlook Cabin was everything that we were expecting and more! The cabin itself has every amenity that you would expect, with a homey and comfortable atmosphere. The views are absolutely magnificent and the property allows for a very a private setting. Jim was very accommodating in anything that we needed and responded promptly to our requests. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Blissful Mountain Stay

What an amazing property! I've stayed at my fair share of rentals, and this one surely ranked towards the top of the list. A little tricky to navigate to, but absolutely worth it once you get to the 'top'. We spent the majority of our time outside looking over the beautiful mountain scape and Roanoke. The trails on the property were really fun to explore which was an added bonus! Cell service is spotty inside the home, but accessible outside. You can tell there's a lot of TLC that went into this special home, and we greatly appreciate Jim sharing it with us. We hated having to leave and would certainly return for another stay!

This is a beautiful property for those wanting to escape into the woods but only have a 30 minute drive from town (and the airport). The interior of the cabin is thoughtfully decorated and has everything you want (no wifi though cell service was fine). The surrounding woods are gorgeous and extremely private with great hikes outside your door. It was perfect for our Fall Virginia trip.

Beautiful views

This was our second stay at the cabin. We love the cozy cabin and the veiw from the porch. The cabin is well stocked, has comfortable beds, plenty of fire wood, and very clean. Our favorite thing about staying there is the hiking trails.
