We left wanting to come back! We loved that all the rooms had king sized beds, the size of the house was perfect for our group. We especially enjoyed all the wildlife we could see right out the window. We wish we were able to stay longer because the house and amenities were wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay and everything was exactly as stated. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the country scenery. The property is very well maintained and loved seeing all the deer. We will definitely be back for another visit.

We had another wonderful visit at this peaceful property. Deer, turkey, butterflies, and humming birds all came to visit! The back porch is a favorite sitting spot, but the front built ins put you right next to the butterflies and humming birds.

The place is wonderful. There are three spacious bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The living area is a bit tight. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. If you are a light sleeper, the AC is a bit noisy in the main area of the house. We did have spotty internet connection when we were there. The house is reasonably close to Enchanted Rock State Park. The wildlife (primarily deer) visited us in the evening and the morning. Parking was ample. Mark, our host, was available to answer any questions or concerns. We had a good experience overall. We will keep this place in mind on our next trip to the area.

Beautiful property nestled in outstanding location. Excellent landscapes. Home was uber clean and decor was stunning. Having a wonderful winery next door with great hosts was also a plus! We will be back.

We had a wedding close by and this was such a great place to stay. I would have given 5 stars all around but it was Easter Weekend so it appears to be about twice the price as usual. Everything other thing about this property is exceptional! We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Texas Hill Country Getaway

We really enjoy this peaceful, well kept home close to Enchanted Rock. It’s nicely appointed, well managed, and in a beautiful location. Close enough to Fredericksburg to enjoy the shopping and dining, but far enough to be full of birds, wildlife and beautiful views.

Immaculately clean, well furnished. A/C worked great. Clear check-in instructions. Good location for hiking at Enchanted Rock, watching meteor showers or comets, and visiting Fredericksburg.

Mark Hughes is a great host. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The house is spacious, well-designed, and equipped with modern amenities that made it both comfortable and relaxing. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view — deer were around all day, every day, which made the experience feel truly special and peaceful.The property offers plenty of privacy and is perfect for enjoying country living, yet it’s close enough to town to easily enjoy Fredericksburg’s shops, restaurants, and attractions. It was the perfect balance of quiet retreat and convenient location. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing Hill Country getaway.

Great location close to enchanted rock

Great location close to enchanted rock. We enjoyed watching all of the deer at the deer feeder in the morning and it worked out perfect for us to wake up and head straight for our hike then clean up before we headed out.
