Get away from the hustle, bustle of life but still close to Enchanted Rock and historic Fredericksburg with its shops, wineries, terrific restaurants, and attractions.

Full kitchen and dining area, king size beds, fire pit, Prochnow Vineyard and venue next door, very rural location, hike our 135 acres to Titanic point, 4 miles to Enchanted Rock, 2 miles to Contigo Wedding venue, ATV friendly, and 20 minutes to Fredericksburg.

We enjoyed our stay and everything was exactly as stated. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the country scenery. The property is very well maintained and loved seeing all the deer. We will definitely be back for another visit.

We had another wonderful visit at this peaceful property. Deer, turkey, butterflies, and humming birds all came to visit! The back porch is a favorite sitting spot, but the front built ins put you right next to the butterflies and humming birds.

We had a wedding close by and this was such a great place to stay. I would have given 5 stars all around but it was Easter Weekend so it appears to be about twice the price as usual. Everything other thing about this property is exceptional! We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Texas Hill Country Getaway

We really enjoy this peaceful, well kept home close to Enchanted Rock. It’s nicely appointed, well managed, and in a beautiful location. Close enough to Fredericksburg to enjoy the shopping and dining, but far enough to be full of birds, wildlife and beautiful views.

Mark Hughes is a great host. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The house is spacious, well-designed, and equipped with modern amenities that made it both comfortable and relaxing. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view — deer were around all day, every day, which made the experience feel truly special and peaceful.The property offers plenty of privacy and is perfect for enjoying country living, yet it’s close enough to town to easily enjoy Fredericksburg’s shops, restaurants, and attractions. It was the perfect balance of quiet retreat and convenient location. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing Hill Country getaway.

Great location close to enchanted rock

Great location close to enchanted rock. We enjoyed watching all of the deer at the deer feeder in the morning and it worked out perfect for us to wake up and head straight for our hike then clean up before we headed out.

Our stay at the Cottage was absolutely wonderful! The interior was very clean, kept up to date, and so comfortable. Star gazing was a treat on the back porch with plenty of seating. In the mornings you can watch out the front windows as the deer come in. If able, plan time to hike the trail to mountain point...the view was beautiful! This location is perfect if you want to be away from town, but still within 20 minutes - with an awesome drive.
