Experience late summer and fall on Minnesota’s North Shore from your basecamp at Lutsen Mountains. Hike the Superior Hiking Trail, ride the gondola, explore waterfalls, mountain bike, golf, or take a scenic drive along Lake Superior—all just minutes from your door.

After a day outside, relax in the indoor or outdoor pool and hot tub, unwind by the fireplace, or settle in for a comfortable evening with family and friends.

Our comfortable 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhome sleeps up to 7 and offers a full kitchen, comfortable gathering spaces, and a convenient Lutsen location. Dogs are welcome, too.

Fall is one of the best times to experience the North Shore, with crisp evenings, brilliant foliage and miles of trails to explore. Whether you're planning a family getaway, hiking weekend, couples trip or fall-color escape, you'll have Lutsen Mountains and the North Shore at your doorstep.

Explore the nearby Superior National Forest, where you can hike, bike, or simply immerse yourself in the stunning natural beauty. The unit was quite comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped. Excellent coffee maker! Beds were comfortable. Plenty of drawer and closet space. Having two and a half baths was very convenient. The deck was really nice overlooking a wooded area.

David & Kristin's place is a great home base for North Shore adventures and exploration. There is good space for 4 adults, which was the size of our group. Tons of great activities within an easy drive.They were good hosts and responsive to questions. And for us, being able to bring our dog was important. These days, seems like lots of places on the North Shore that don't.

We had a wonderful stay! The location was great. It’s a beautiful property, clean and well cared for. The hosts were on top of all communication leading up to our stay and during. The facilities were awesome. We spent a lot of time at the pools. We will definitely be staying here again.

Our stay was great from start to finish. Dave and Kristin were very responsive to any questions we had and the place was exactly as advertised. Close proximity to indoor/outdoor pool area and just an overall great location in general and peaceful setting. Will definitely look to rent again.

Great place to enjoy a weekend of skiing. Many options to stay busy on and off the slopes. Pool and hot tub area was easy to access and nearby. Restaurant takeout was a quick walk away, too, on a night when we did not want to cook. Terrific and timely communication from the host.

Perfect location, really nice property. You can ski right out onto the trail that connects down to Moose Mountain (note that depending on skiers' experience/ability). Otherwise it's only a minute drive to the main base as well. You can walk to trails, a restaurant, and see the mountains from the condo. The owners were also accommodating and responsive. It's a great property, strongly recommend.

The lodging is ideally located for a true ski-in/ski-out experience. I last stayed in these units back in 2000, and while they have been well maintained, they are beginning to show their age.The kids really enjoyed the pool (not attached), and the adults appreciated the ability to prepare meals and take breaks as needed. The townhome is well equipped with pots, pans, a coffee maker, and other essentials.One area for improvement would be the kitchen lighting, which could be brighter. It also would have been nice to have access to the ski storage cabinet outside and the downstairs sauna, but unfortunately, both were unavailable during our stay.Overall, we had an enjoyable visit and would rent here again.

We are a happily ever after couple who love the North Shore for different reasons. She loves the shopping, the winery, the breathtaking views, the breweries and the fresh air. He loves the trails, the skiing, the rugged bike trails and gravel roads (oh, and all the stuff that she loves too).

We are long time North Shore adventurers, exploring in every season. Some of our greatest outdoor memories were forged here on the ski trails (downhill and XC), the off-road bike trails, water falls and just kicking around in Grand Marais. This Lutsen location is so close to (or ON) the finest trails, paths and roadways this area has to offer. There is no better base camp for all your North Shore adventures!

We love our cozy townhome for the sights and the sounds that this northwoods location has to offer. The ever present whispering roar of the Poplar River. The chattering Aspens and swaying Jack Pines. The stars on a moonless night will take your breath away. The eery drumming of the Ruffed Grouse. Even the growl of the snow cats working in the dark to make tomorrow's trails perfect is a beautiful sound.
